I would love to know what Laurel is like outside the challenges. From reading about Cara Maria's positive opinions of her, I wonder if she is portrayed somewhat wrongly. Even if it isn't wrong all together, I do think that it could be exaggerated. Thoughts?
I would expect that sober, reflective, considerate Laurel is rather normal, but that would not be of interest to production.
I got the feeling from the podcast with Brandon that she really did, and still might kind of like CT. Mandi said it was just physical and all that but I think Laurel really like(d) him and she kept saying well he has a girlfriend now. But maybe she just respects the current girlfriend and is not gossiping about hooking up with a guy who currently has a girlfriend, but still I got that feeling she likes him.
In this youtube video, Laurel answer the question "How do I train for the challenges."
How I train for challenges... 2nd Edition - YouTube
I listened to her interview with Brandon and she does seem to be insecure. She said that for the aftershow she wanted to look as cute as possible because CT was there, and she really wanted CT to acknowledge that she looks good.
First of all, CT has a girlfriend so Laurel shouldn't care what he thinks about her outfit and her hair.
Second, she shouldn't depend on what others say about her, especially someone like CT who is a joke in my opinion. I think Laurel is fine the way she is.
Laurel is the best competitor there. She deserves to win. She's so strong and built. I would love to have her as my partner. I would have done the same thing to Paula if she did that to my partner. Paula better watch her back in the final. Laurel's gonna whoop her booty.

How do you define who "deserves" to win? Are you doing it based on physical strength alone? Or overall actions? Clearly the discussion of who "deserves" to win is arguable as everyone has a different opinion on who deserves what.
Yes, Laurel is a strong competitor. Yes, she is strong and built. There is no denying that physically, she is a top-tier competitor. However, so is Evelyn. I would venture that Evelyn has competed at around the same level as Laurel, if not better.
Yes, it's great that Laurel stood up for her partner. However, I did not see Evelyn going off on a tirade when Laurel was blasting Paula. She did the smart thing and kept her nose out of other people's business.
By the way, you saying that Paula better watch her back suggests that Paula will be ahead of Laurel...meaning Laurel would not win, Paula would.
You could say that Laurel deserves to win, but based on all-around personality and athletic skills, I would counter that Evelyn, who has maintained her status as a physical threat without mentally or verbally degrading any of her fellow housemates, deserves to win more.
Then again, that's just my opinion...

I agree! I love how Laurel defends her friends from the bullies... and then counteracts by bullying them back. LOL

Too bad it's not one on one, remember Paula's partner, Ev? I'd argue she is the best female competitor there and thankfully Paula likes long distance running so I give the advantage to them. I like Cara Maria as a competitor but in a final I'd pick Ev/Paula over Laurel/Cara Maria every time.

Is that how it should work? An endless cycle of bullying. Bullying someone because they are a bully. If that is how things should be then I don't see much hope for the future. It's going to be one gigantic ball of crap. Bully someone because they're a bully. Kill someone because they have killed. Hurt someone because they have hurt someone else. Fire cannot always be fought with fire. There are mature ways to handle situations. Apparently, so many posters on this site can't see that.

Oh, please. At least make some feeble attempt to establish some credibility before making us laugh uncontrollably with your first post.
Laurel may have the biggest and fastest mouth there. I'm not sure what the value is in that, but you can have that award for her it you want it.
She's so "strong and built?" How do you know that she is stronger than perhaps Evelyn? Have you some evidence? It's been previously reported that Eve can do two sets of 10 dead weight pull-ups. Can Laurel? That would be one comparative measure of merit.
Maybe you could beg Laurel on twitter that during the reunion show she and Eve both do push-ups until one of them collapses. Would that be fair?

As far as we know, Laurel can do 2 chin-ups, which for all her smack-talk does not impress me at all. But if we asked Laurel, she'd say that she's got more body weight to pull up so it's "not fair". We also know that Evelyn won the last two challenges which really didn't need the other partner to do anything. Gee, I wonder who I would pick...

I'm all for MYOBing, but at some point someone has to stand up to bullying. Maybe it happened and they didn't show it, but a simple "Laurel, that's enough," would have sufficed. I really hope they just don't show it, but it seems that a lot of times people just let others say really mean things and never try to interject. Maybe I'm a borderline sociopath, but given the choice between doing nothing and standing up for someone, I think I would pick the latter. I would hope I wouldn't be as hurtful as Laurel, and I know I would be sorry. And I honestly don't see how telling someone that they're annoying and no one likes them is any better than telling someone they're anorexic or unmarried. At the core, those are ALL things that prey on insecurities and get to people. Wes was saying everything he could to hurt Cara Maria, and even though he apologized on the After Show it was blatantly obvious that he was doing it for fun and would not stop no matter how much she was hurt. He went after her to rub in her face what a terrible annoying person she was. Who does that!?!? And I know between Bacchus, Molds, Insider and V1man, you're going to say that they were all in the wrong, and none of them were "right". But someone please explain to me why Laurel is getting so much more flak than Wes for what went down. Yes, what Laurel did was ****ed up, but at least it (initially) was in defense of someone else and not just for ****s and giggles.

Eh, I couldn't care. Whatever makes good TV.
I can BS and say "bully is always wrong..." but from personal experience, its tough as hell watching a close friend/relative get belittled. I would have gone all out on Paula, and I'm not a bully. She should feel the same pain that CM did.

But what did Paula say? Wes was the one that poured the soda and she didnt go off on him, I rewatched it and while Laurel/Wes were talking Paula says something like "you put him on reality TV" I couldn't really hear but it didnt sound like a huge insult to Laurel or CM, then she says shut the **** up Paula and goes nuts, Paula was backing up Wes so she should be yelling at Wes. I think she only went off on Paula because she cant really upset Wes but its easy to make Paula cry.

"You're wet and you're looking stupid, just go to bed." Then she laughs at her and shakes Wes's hand.
I imagine more crap went on behind the episode.
It doesn't matter what she said to Cara Maria, all that matters is that Cara Maria was really hurt from it... so Paula deserves to be hurt back.

So should one of Paula's friends go and hurt Laurel? And then one of Laurel's friends hurt that person? And have it continue like that? Makes lots of sense to me.

Well I enjoy the sarcasm... don't understand the definition of opinion I'm guessing?
I don't think what Laurel did was that bad... she stood up for her friend, and that's what counts to me.

I know, I was talking about after Laurel chased Wes with Soda, her and him were arguing then Paula said something and she went off, Laurel didnt say anything when they were in the kitchen. If she did it then after the wet and stupid comment then it would make more sense, but she didnt she wasnt even yelling at Wes but as soon as Paula said something she goes off and she brought up stuff that had nothing to do with anything.

Kind of confused as to what you're saying.
This is the sequence of events: Wes pours soda on Cara Maria; Cara Maria complains in the kitchen while Wes and Paula smack talk; Cara Maria goes back to her room... Wes follows, Paula tries but Laurel shuts the door on her; Wes talks crap to Cara, Laurel talks crap to Wes; Laurel comes out to attack Wes, Paula makes a comment at her; Laurel goes off on Paula
I think Laurel went off on Wes, Paula made a comment then Laurel focused her attention on Paula, knowing she was bullying CM as well

Yeah I was saying that it would have made more sense if Laurel screamed at Paula in the kitchen when she was talking **** and backing up Wes, I dont know I just found it weird that Paula got it harder than Wes. Laurel/Wes looked like drunk idiots trying to have a food fight but Paula got called anorexic and ugly because she made a comment saying "he's put on reality tv" or something. All 3 are in the wrong though.

Haha I love how we're not even considering Jenn and Mandi.
I actually think Laurel/Cara Maria and Ev/Paula are about even physically. Ev and Laurel are two of the best female competitors, and Paula and Cara Maria are both runners. It will most likely come down to the mental (emotional?) part: Paula and CM have both gained confidence throughout this challenge, but Laurel said she hated running and that the reason why she kept going on FM2 was because of Kenny. So I'm expecting her to have to rely on CM for the final and I don't think CM can really help Laurel with that, unfortunately. I mean what if she breaks down like on Cutthroat? On the other hand, Ev is headstrong so even though she might not be a runner, she won't give up or anything. So I'm also betting on Paula and Ev.

I think Laurel went after Paula for several reasons. One, there's an extended clip of her yelling at Wes in the bedroom and he kept laughing, so she probably knew she was going nowhere. Two, Paula is a pretty "weak" competitor, and by that I mean that she has a reputation of letting the competition go to her head and she cracks under pressure, so she was a pretty easy target. Three, I believe Laurel said on a podcast that there had been a lot of tension between Paula and her; they were competing for Kenny's attention, so subconsciously, she was probably jealous of Paula.
When did she say "he's put on reality tv"?

Haha, well both Jenn and Mandi are fairly good runners but they aren't on the same level as Ev or Laurel in terms of overall competitor and the final isn't all running so that's why I give Ev/Paula and Laurel/CM the edge over Jenn/Mandi. I also think I saw a canoe part in the final, which doesn't bode well for Jenn (see FM2 final lol).
I'd also say Ev is a good runner as well, she and Luke beat Paula and Jeff in an exile in FM2. That's why in a final I give the edge to them. CM proved she can last in a final but I have always seen her as more of a short distance sprinter type (FM2 trials). Laurel seemed to struggle in the Cutthroat final. But definitely on a physical level both teams are pretty even, if they were to go head to head in a Jungle or elimination round it could go either way.

I couldnt really hear what she said but it was something he or him and reality tv, and it was after Laurel was chased Wes with Coke, Laurel was talking to Wes then Paula said that. And yeah he wasnt taking her seriously so she knew Paula would be affected by it, all she said to him was get the **** out then fire crotch but I wouldnt consider that to be as bad as the Eric thing. And I think you're right they may be competing for Kenny's attention or she doesnt like the fact that he would choose Paula over her, I wonder whos side he on, Paula is crazy and now is "bffs" with Wes but Laurel is flirting with the enemy.
