I liked Delancy's idea of weak/strong competitors on the Ruins. Lets do Cutthroat. On each team make a list of strongest to weakest guy and girls. I will start. Gray Team: Guys Abram Vinny Luke Dan J.D. Girls Laurel Sarah Cara Maria Ayiiia Shauvon Red Team Guys Brad Tyler Dunbar Brandon Chet Girls Tori Camila Paula Mandi Melinda Blue Team Guys Derrick Johnny Eric Ty Derek Girls Emily Jenn Theresa Emilee Katie
Champions: Guys- Syrus, just old and out of shape. Girls- Katie. Challengers: Guys- Nick, he's only been on 2 challenges and lasted 3 episodes total. I can't see him doing anything better than Danny (who everyone else has said is the weakest). I think that Danny would beat Nick at probably any elimination round that season. Girls- Shauvon. She has 3 challenges and her season of the RW. She has quit 3 times and went home first on her only show that she didn't cowardly fold on.
I forgot about Nick, and i agree he was the weakest guy. But you're wrong about Katie, she was stronger than Ibis. Katie is a bad competitor no question, but she still is 4-5 in individuel elimination rounds which isn't bad at all, for someone as bad as she is. She was a sleeping giant on the Inferno 1, she took out Julie and David and helped Road Rules win the puzzle in the final mission. What does Ibis has on her challenge resume that tops Katie's? Red Team- Males-Brad, Brandon, Tyler, Dunbar, Chet Females-Tori, Camila, Paula, Melinda, Mandi Blue Team- Males-Derrick, Johnny, Eric, Ty, Derek Females-Emily, Jenn, Theresa, Katie, Emilee Grey Team- Males-Abram, Luke, Vinny, Dan, JD Females-Laurel, Sarah ,Cara Maria, Ayiiia , Shauvon

I'm kind of shocked almost everyone thinks that Brad > Tyler (Who is a personal trainer). I can only imagine in my head how an elimination would go down, but Tyler would smear him in my opinion. To each his own I guess.

His only strength he's shown so far is using his big size to his advantage. Brad was at his weakest on Cutthroat, but Brad pre-Cutthroat would smoke Tyler as long as size doesn't play a major role.
I would have given the edge to Brad prior to Cutthroat's airing, but Tyler took out Johnny and Derrick in that show to win.

Derrick said on one of his Podcasts that he knocked/pushed Tyler over the chains like three or four times and the elimination lasted much longer than what was shown. Yes, Derrick is a better overall competitor than Tyler but in that particular elimination game (One that heavily favored Tyler) he should've completely beat Derrick down in like two or three minutes considering he has/had about 7 or 8 inches in height and probably 50+ pounds in weight on Derrick.
I would have given the edge to Brad prior to Cutthroat's airing, but Tyler took out Johnny and Derrick in that show to win.
And he took them out ONLY because of his weight advantage. Watch the elimination rounds again. Big Easy or Tyrie even would of beaten Johnny and Derrick in those elimination rounds as well because of their much bigger size. Tyler is still a low tier competitor until he shows himself to be a well rounded competitor, and can also win an elimination round not just because of his size.
110% agreed with this. ^^^^ Also, Tyler's win vs. Derrick was a lot tougher for him than what was shown. He knew that event favored bigger people..... even if you're stronger than the other person(which Derrick was), their much bigger size would be too much to overcome(plus Tyler is athletic as well).
Guess I'll add my lists: Gray Team: Guys Abram Vinny J.D. Id rather put it like this (ive put some people together in the same line since I cant see much seperating them) Gray Team: Guys Abram Luke Dan Vinny J.D. You guys can hate on Wes all you want, Yes he plays the game shady but at the end of the day Wes made it farther then CT did so his game works. CT has never won Wes won the biggest prize in history of the challenges and out smarted CT,Evan,Brad,Kenny to win the Duel 1.
Wes has jack for athletic ability outside of being a really good swimmer and having decent endurance. He isn't close to being in the same echelon from an all-around athletic standpoint with guys like Landon, Alton, CT, and Evan. Also, the stuff you saw on the trailer between CT & Wes was shown in reverse order of how it went down. CT saying "are you done... now it's my turn" was the prelude to him getting in Wes' face and calling him out. On Duel 1, he had 20 feet of space, 4 other people, and 2 railings between he and CT when he ran his mouth. On The Ruins, he had a whole team of people trying to keep he and Darrell apart because Darrell was well-liked by his team and seen as an asset that they didn't want to see get kicked off. He knew not to play his tough guy act with CT on this challenge because he knows CT isn't above losing his temper and throttling him into oblivion. Wes had no friends on this challenge that would step in and help pull CT off him and likewise, the other guys would be thrilled to see CT get kicked off again so the chances of somebody intervening in the situation would be 0%, so Wes just kept his mouth shut. His true colors will be shown, trust me on that.
Well yeah I dont think he's the best on the challenge but he's better than the guys that talk **** about him, like kenny or johnny, but yeah Landon and Alton and maybe Evan are obviously the best. I think CT is an idiot and has issues but maybe he got over that stuff now, like who gets kicked off for fighting twice? Plus to also hit people who are obviously not as strong as him, but yeah we'll see but judging by CT's past it may be a over the top fight about nothing.

He did Evan in a way although the deal they had was fair. I'd say Brad + Derrick = CT. Like I said, Wes outperformed CT on SWIMMING related missions, his forte. Wes wasn't smart enough to throw a mission and he wasn't smart enough to keep his alliance (the stronger one in numbers) intact. So, I guess we'll see if he's really that smart on this challenge.

Overall he seems pretty cool now, atleast to Adam in the trailer. Of course he gets mad at wes, cause he talked so much **** about him and as stated by townie no one is here to defend wes now.

He beat him specifically because he had a head start. It was said on camera that he would have lost without it. Sure he did well at some things, but it's not as if he outsmarted all of these people.
I like Wes, But by no means is he an AMAZING competitor. There is only one good thing about Wes, and it's that he isn't a pushover and can AT LEAST carry his own weight. He's not really a liability on a team level (unless he's throwing it for the team), and he is above average on an individual standpoint. But by no means do I think he can beat someone like C.T. or Evan in a 1 on 1.
And Vinny's still second on your list on the gray team? :lol2:
Hahahah good catch and I definitly agree. I guess he was the one exception and while he seems like a complete idiot, he's not a complete waste physically so I'd take him on my team...temporarily.
Just saw this, love it! Coral has the best one-liners lol YouTube - ‪Best Challenge Reunion Moments‬‏

He did beat Derrick, but he got the two best competitors (Evan and CT) to face eachother, which lead to Evan, who was better than Wes to get eliminated. Than the last mission before the final happened to be a swimming base mission, the only missions he was good at because he was a state champ. And he ended up winning and getting safety from the last Duel.Than CT, the best competitor, got a DQ against Brad and went home(if CT made it to the finals, Wes would of gotten "smoked"). Lastly, he was lucky to get a head start against Brad(who didn't play soccer) with the soccer kick bull crap. Wes stated he played soccer in high school or something, so he clearly had the advantage in that. Wes's strength is his physical strength, swimming, and politics. He is not an amazing competitor, overall, there are plenty of better competitors than him. His physical strength, is what makes him dangerous really....he just found ways to win on Fresh Meat and the Duel 1. But his luck ran out with his other challenges. Him beating Derrick, and winning with casey is what puts him in the top 20, probably top 15 i would say.... but he's NOT a top 10 all time.

He plays the game well, especially for someone who isn't in the main circle of "friends" and without being in the main alliances. Like you said, he got CT and Evan to go in together, and call Evan stupid but the fact Wes thought out the plan and actually executed it correctly and efficiently was pretty clever. Would I like him on my team (if he actually performed and didn't play a shady game)? Yeah, but if he wasn't on my team I'd still be pretty wary of him and what he can do. His manipulation skills, knowledge of the game, as well as what he can do physically combine for a pretty great competitor, but he probably wouldn't be in my top 10 either. In my opinion, both Wes and Jodi got lucky in one way or another on the Duel. Wes obviously for the reasons you stated, but Jodi too because, besides having Evan as a partner numerous times, but the fact that someone else took out Beth also helped clear her path to the money. IMO, Beth was the only girl who had a physical advantage over Jodi (maybe Aneesa as well but I'd still give Jodi the upperhand there) and if Beth hadn't DQed and was able to eventually get Jodi in a Duel (especially Ascender with the puzzle), the whole finale could've been different with two different females.
From the Vegas season, I only see Heather and Leroy being on challenges and doing alright. I think Dustin will get made fun of for his gay past. There is a rumor going on that TJ is trying to be a commentator for the UFC now and might give up on hosting challenges. Does anybody know if that is true?

But i do believe Jodi was better overall than both for sure. Kina and Svetlana were Jodi's only real threats athletically, but obviously Svetlana beat Kina and Jodi beat Svetlana in the final so Jodi deserved her win. But that challenge just didn't have top female competitors like Rachel(RR11), Veronica, Holly Shand, Ev, and Susie...... so Jodi shouldn't get too much praise i agree.

And I agree about Beth and Aneesa as well, that's actually what I meant because Push Me or Pole Wrestle could've easily fell in either Aneesa, Beth, or Jodi's favor.

Does anybody know if that is true?
TJ was commentator for Superior Cage Combat 1, a smaller MMA event, I doubt he'll actually be commentator for the UFC. Though the benefit for him was hosted by Dana White I think (president of the UFC) and attended by a lot of other people involved with the UFC. Of course you never know what happens in the future, but as far as I know TJ isn't involved with the UFC yet. But we don't even know if the challenges will get a new contract for more seasons, so who knows. I love seeing TJ on these challenges, and I think everyone on the shows does aswell, for example what derrick said on the cutthroat reunion where they showed a video message from TJ. How TJ always like quickly whispers derrick good luck before an elimination round and stuff.

There is a now long burried vevmo thread -- containing some content imported from a former site populated with serious RR/RW followers -- which detailed what was learned from conversations with cast and crew from Brazil. Weight was not a determining factor. Most deemed height and leverage (as relative to strength) as critically important. we learned that the missions were far more heavily editied for time than we would tell when watching. Beth and Jodi were within a very few pounds of each other (fewer than 5 if I recall correctly). Both were also very close to Aneesa's weight. Conditioning and experiential differences were equally critical. Beth easily threw Jodi off the plank (Push Over) in their wrestling match largely as a result of her kick boxing background where leverage is critical, and Jodi narrowly defeated Beth in Rafty Race where Beth had never before been in or paddled any sort of boat. I'm always loath to believe that anything beyond loosely held impressions of individual capability vis a vis another competitor in an entirely different situation can ever be made. But where somewhat similar events occur, one can have a more reliable analytical result, measuring strength to strength or speed to speed, etc. Intangibles such as "gallery" help for puzzles or roap mazes always complicate things as unknown "wild cards." What will be interesting for me is the first mission and first elimination event. How much of what we see will be an edit, and how much will represent strategy -- seen or unsee -- on the part of the 4 participants or of those who may act to put these four into harm's way through the initial actions in the challenge (the game).
Thanks!! On topic, It always bothered me that Jodi never went into a duel since I too feel like there were other females that could beat here. I know the same is true for Rachel on D2, but I mean, it's Rachel...
