When you're open enough to share your life on TV and make a big fool of yourself and just be a crazy party kid, one must wonder just HOW open you are to certain things.
It's been said by a few cast members that a certain short tempered Bostonian plays for both teams. Although he's never confirmed... or asked really. I had my suspicions about Northern Trail Dan... he was a little too eager to kiss Yes on Challenge 2000. Antoine loved Shane and wasn't very shy of showing it. Although Genesis said he tried to show her his junk a few times. Las Vegas Steven has always been iffy with me. Other than them no one really comes to mind... maybe Landon or Blair? And then of course the obvious weirdly-close friendship of Kenny and Evan.
Scratch Landon from your list. He's completely heterosexual. When I was around him on the set of a TV/Photo shoot in 2005, he was very interested in the women and not at all interested in the other guys who were worthy physical specimens of reality TV lore.
There were cast rumors and and an interview with someone connected with Saddle Ranch who said he had dated Steven.
So 1 thing I'm wondering about, all this Kenny + Wes drama.
I've seen basically every episode of every challenge since Inferno 2. But when/how did the kenny wes drama start? I remember in Inferno 3 when CT was sent home, Kenny said like: I hope we get some real ****** in his place, like derrick or my boy wes or evan. And then in the gauntlet 3 (the next challenge) reunion he was already sort of making fun of wes, so was that just friendly teasing and then the real hatred started on The Island or did something else happen?
I'm not an insider but they basically had a falling out over the Johanna situation. Maybe there's more to it than that but I doubt it, everything else since has been played up for the cameras.

So it had to be before that.

Maybe it has something to do with the Wes/Johanna breakup. Maybe he did something foul or malicious which made Kenny view his "friend" in a different light.
Or maybe Kenny just said it so it wouldn't seem like he was making out with his good friends ex girlfriend to the audience at home. Any number of possibilities, but it's been stated here a few times by reliable sources that they're good friends currently and have been for a while.

That would be just pointless in my eyes.
Well, the majority of the drama on the show is pointless.
LC, is there a clear line for you between entertainment and pointlessness and entertainment, or is it a gray area? I take you point, but I'm any never sure from one episode to the next if my own perception of drama is fixed or flexible.
I was talking to someone today who has been watching the Vegas season and the first four season on line. She much prefers the earlier seasons which surprises me.

True. You got a point.
And V1 I'm not surprised that the person you spoke with pefers the early seasons to the newers ones. The Older seasons were much better. Those seasons had REAL people who dealt with REAL issues. While they had fun and were entertaining along the way.

Why does that surprise you? Most people prefer the older seasons considering it wasn't just "pointless" drama as lamb chop put it.

During the early seasons she was in diapers... I expected her to just laugh at how people looked in the early years of the show, which is the reaction I'm used to seeing.

Well in terms of "early seasons," I'd think that the most popular seasons in terms of overall fanbase would be the middle ones around New Orleans, Back 2 New York, Las Vegas, and San Diego. These of course spawned Battle of the Seasons, Sexes, Gauntlet, and Inferno.

The early seasons we were originally talking about (I know it's a pain to read backwards) were those recently available on Hulu. At the time -- seasons 1 - 3. Feel free to be the poster child for the seasons you list. I'm sure you're in good company.

Well I never actually really cared for the Real World, that was just an observation I've kinda made over the years. The earliest seasons on Hulu (specifically San Francisco) I know are the ones that made the show what it is and are probably the most critically acclaimed ones (or at least SF).

Honestly, I agree with your friend. The issues they dealt with in the earlier seasons were serious issues that most people go through. The show now seems to just be about hooking up, which yeah that's a part of life, but I don't find it all that interesting. If I want to watch people doing it all the time, I'll just watch some ****.

They seem like they went out and partied a lot on the San Fran season but they never really discussed it or showed it. Are we supposed to believe that the cast didn't get smashed in Hawaii? The only drunk scene I can recall is when Judd, Rachel and Puck went to the bar and got in an argument.

The Jungle Trailer/Announcement.
I'm not actually looking at the spoilers for the challenge, so that was one of the first things I've seen about this whole Rivals thing. I'm curious to see how it will play out.
Yes, and she's academically recognized as a Phi Beta Kappa nominee.
Hey V1man! I did not know that. Instersting to know. I have to admit though, in my opinion she is qutie the strategist in these challenges and she is also one of my favorite challenger as well:)
I really can't wait to see how this new Challenge plays out. We haven't had CT for a full Challenge since Gauntlet 3. Say what you will about the guy, but the shows are much more entertaining with him on. Finally we'll have Kenny, Evan, and Johnny pitted against each other...who will turn on the others first? They can't just gang up on Wes like they did on the Ruins. Wes and Kenny are going to bicker like an old married couple. I think things are going to be highly entertaining on the guys' side.
Having said that, I couldn't be much more disappointed with the girls' cast. Half of them (Paula, Jenn, Laurel, Mandi, Cara Maria, Theresa, Sarah) will now be making their third consecutive appearance, fourth in Sarah's case. Paula, please disappear every once in awhile. Everyone was tired of your stupid woe-is-me BS 2 years ago. Jenn is only good at speaking a mile a minute and making no sense and overcompensating for her lack of size with her loud, incoherent rhetoric. Laurel's sense of entitlement and immature attitude is already tiresome and we're only 2 Challenges in with her. Sarah just gets more and more annoying with each Challenge. Everything about Theresa is annoying as ****.
The guys' side, bottom line, was casted much better. It's not even close. Brandon is the only guy that's doing his third in a row, and he's not an overbearing attention seeker like all those girls are. Wow it's been awhile since I ranted on vevmo...feels good!

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Gauntlet 3 the last challenge with consistently good ratings? It's interesting that you can barely make out JEK in this teaser. Except for Kenny, "the speaking parts" were given to their rivals. Hopefully, the powers that be finally realized the in order for the challenges to make it pass this season, we have to move beyond the tried trio. We may not get entertaining vets like Beth, Katie and Coral back but airtime should be given to the RW Las Vegas and the unsung Cancun cast who both brought that series back from the dead.
