I think it was more unfair if Abram and Sarah still took part of the team bank account, despite NOT finishing the final when Laurel, Luke and Cara Maria finished it and walked with $20,000 instead of $100,000/3.
Yeah I too was wondering about that. Heck, If I knew I'd get the same amount even if I hadn't finished, I'd probably think about dropping down right there. But I mean, this also isn't one of the challenges where everyone finished. Only the Red Team completely finished, so I guess you could argue it both ways.

So they had the theme of "no man left behind" from the army. That wasn't the case this time around.

Jenn & Emily both finished. Abram and Sarah were the only ones, I think, that didn't finish. It was a difference of like $13,333, if I did the math right, between what Laurel, Luke and Cara Maria got from what they should have gotten.
[strike]there is nothing unfair about that in my opinion. they walked into the final with the money they won during the missions. if grey won then it would've been al little bit unfair to split the 120.000. equally, since sarah and abram did not finish but with the money won from the missions i see no problem. you get to the final-you get the money...[/strike] There is nothing unfair about that in my opinion. Even if the Grey team would have been DQ for having Sarah and Abe not completing the final there out of the race and that leaves the Red Team which is already in first place and the Blue Team which is very far behing the Red Team. Not to be rude but if i saw a final between the red and blue it would have been extremely boring.

I'm curious as to where Ty would have died had he been in this finals. Before the paintball guns? The tires? The carrying. Also, had Laurel gotten rid of CM and Luke, how exactly would any of the final work with just her after Abe/Sarah have to leave?
Getting kind of off topic now, so back on the finale. I'm curious as to where Ty would have died had he been in this finals. Before the paintball guns? The tires? The carrying.
Probably the puzzle.

Honestly, I kind of thought it was BS when the Blue team had to carry something on top. It's bad enough that there was only two of them. In the entire final, the only part that was actually made harder/longer having more people was going down the slide. In no other part was there an advantage to having fewer people.

Assuming Chet didn't have to leave because of injury, there'd be two different scenarios: A. Stays the rest of the time, meaning there'd have been 3 completely different dynamics with the teams being 1 dominating with guys, 1 with all girls, and 1 with a decent mix B. Gets eliminated in a Gulag, that would mean that the teams would be Gray with 5, Red with 4, and Blue with 3, making them more even. Either way, with the Red team supposedly blowing the other 2 teams out of the water in the final, I'm not so sure how much better the Blue team would have done if Derrick was there. Jenn thinks that Blue would have won since they were so close to Gray, but I think that was more because of Gray messing up the puzzle, essentially doing that section 3 times because of it.

That still would have left Emily and Derrick carrying the stretcher, and while Emily is tough, I still think she would have had a hard time keeping up. Red team was just the perfect mix: a bunch of big guys for whom pushing and carrying things isn't a big deal, and one small girl to be carried. I really think this final was biased towards the bigger, stronger team, as opposed to a leaner, faster team.

I cannot see Chet having made it to the end. He is not someone who strikes me as having much endurance or prowess.
I cannot see Chet having made it to the end. So if Dan took him out (on the dice game) Dan would have been in the final. Or he would have gone in against Johnny (against CT), and if Johnny lasted longer, he'd possibly be in the final. Obviously we have no way of knowing how it would have panned out, but Chet losing and Johnny/Dan staying may have changed the outcome.

Dan doesn't seem agile to me like the dice game sort of calls for, and the dice thingy seems to favor lankier people, so I don't see Dan coming out on top of Chet under that Alternate Challenge scenario.
