You seem to be the one misinterpreting posts, now. I never stated Mark doesn't or shouldn't feel good about himself as a competitor. I said his giving Derrick a bandana isn't a clear indication of how Mark sees himself as a competitor.
Yes it is, because he called himself the "first Road Ruler", meaning the first great competitor from Road Rules due to the fact that he is from season one. By "Road Ruler", he was stating great competitor (from Road Rules of course).
No one is arguing about how great Mark is. I'm sure Mark likes himself very much. As soon as someone mentions the word "bandana", the entire board lights up in yet another long-winded argument about who is the best competitor EVAR. How on earth does that even happen? I can't even fathom the answer. Its tiring, its annoying, everyone on this board has had enough of it. No one cares who is the best. And bringing up that argument in a thread, in response to a completely unrelated post, is off-topic. I suggest not doing that in the near future.
I never said Mark was the best, i said he was a great competitor which is clearly why he called himself "the first Road Ruler". Yet AGAIN, misinterpreting what i am saying.

You are completely right, now that I look at the footage of the reunion, it becomes undeniably clear what is going on in Mark's mind. See, here: See, the way he has his hand on his knee, it obviously means he is feeling proud of himself and thinks he is the greatest Road Ruler of all time. And the way he has his head tilted...clearly this gesture implies that no other Road Ruler can top him, not even Derrick or Timmy. I mean look at Derrick's posture right here: The blank look in his eyes. See that right there? It's obviously a sign of a deep-seated trauma he experienced as a child, which led to his insecurities as a competitor, thus making him believe Mark is a superior competitor than he is. The spacing between his fingers confirms this. 1.5 cm spacing always points to "Mark Long is better than me, but not that much better than Timmy Beggy." I am sorry for arguing with your facts, I should have retrieved this picture sooner to prevent myself from looking like an idiot.

I think you hit the nail right on the head with this one. And now I'm sorry I ever brought up the **** bandana. May it never appear in a Road Rulers hand again.
The Challenge: Cutthroat - Exclusive Interview with Katie Doyle : RealityWanted.com: Reality TV, Game Show, Talk Show, News - All Things Unscripted Social Network Casting Community Interview of Katie. She also mentions how the challenges have changed for the WORSE like Abram did on a different interview. Production needs to go back to the old ways please! This is one of the big reasons why the old vets don't want to come back anymore...
Katie's interview was great!
I really like that interview. I think the viewers do realize that the cast doesn't have as much fun as they used to. I think that's why the challenges seemed more fun back in the day.
It was a really great interview and just makes me like her all the more. I loved her comparisons of the old challenges and the challenges now.
I agree with everybody else, great interview and I started to feel bad for her again while reading her reasons as to why she was ****** off that night. I'm upset to see she most likely won't be doing anymore challenges, it was a good run Katie!
I was saying your belief above^^ as to why Mark stated himself the first Road Ruler was incorrect, not the fact of him being the first from his season to be on a challenge and etc.....again, you are misinterpreting what i say. The fact of the matter is, when you use common sense, Mark was referring to being a great competitor, and since he was from the first season, and was a great competitor(he performed well on all his challenges and was ranked number 1 on the BOTS 1), he was "the first Road Ruler". And since Derrick performed well on the BOTS 2, and the Inferno 2, then having really broke out on the Gauntlet 2, he became a great competitor which made him the "last Road Ruler", being that he was a great competitor from(at that point) the last season of Road Rules. Again, it's quite simple, how can you not get it?
Good lord...do you have an internal clock that reminds you to start senseless arguments every 5-6 weeks? Want to know what Mark meant by "from the first Road Ruler to the last Road Ruler"? He meant he was one of the first season Road Rulers, and Derrick (at the time) was one of the last season Road Rulers. At the time, Mark was retiring, and wanted to symbolically pass the torch to Derrick. That's it. Nothing more. Now put your ******* telestrator away.

Random challenge Moment: Remember on the Inferno 1. Julie kept Yanking Veroncia's rope During the first challenge and everyone was yelling at her to stop? and Veronica was scared out of her mind? Good moment wasn't it?
Oh you mean this ;)
YES that's the moment I was talking about.
Classic moment of a classic Challenge. Inferno might be my favorite of all time. -Coral/Julie fight. Julie telling Coral to "shut [her ******* mouth]" which immediately turns Coral into full-on ***** mode. David's face as she goes into said ***** mode. "You better back the **** off!" -Katie/Veronica fight, Veronica covering herself with a towel during it, Katie's absolutely insane tirade -Kendal/Leah in the Inferno, Mike drunk and making fun of Kendal, then CT starts giving Leah ****, and David in the middle of all the insanity jumps naked into the Inferno. -The mission where they had to destroy the hotel rooms like rock stars. -Syrus yelling "CEEEEEEEE-TIZZLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!" every time CT won a life shield. -Mike winning the Human Candelabra Inferno and nonchalantly blowing out the candles, like he knew he was going to win it the whole time. -The chickensuit mission. Silly but so awesome.
Haha I've never watched the Inferno, but I love watching the clip where Julie is trying to kill Veronica! It's so funny! "Stop molesting my ******, you Mormon!" "What is she doing? WHAT IS SHE DOOOOOOOINGGGG?!?!"
I liked Julie after the mission: Julie: "I wasn't trying to kill her, if I wanted to kill her I would pull out a knife and stab her." Or something along those lines.
I'll admit, it's amusing now, but that *** is scary as **** when you're that high up. I don't understand why they just didn't DQ Julie right there.
That was hysterical. Did Julie not see everyone from the balcony yelling at her to stop? I also agree that she should have been DQ'ed. She was almost wrestling the girl in the air. And then she lost to Katie. Hahaha that was funny.

I remember Julie wanted to turn the treadmill speed up, but Katie had a fit with quite a few choice words that ended with "If you think Coral's a *****..." It was something like that.

They should have DQed her and gotten her a psych eval to boot. She took crazy to a new level. She's the only one I can remember who tried to kill someone to win a challenge.

Okay guys. You seriously think Julie tried to kill Veronica? C'mon. She was obviously trying to knock her out of that thing so Veronica could get DQed. And it is possible that she didn't know it was the safety line or whatever. I don't know. And who knows if she even heard everyone yelling at her. I mean calling her crazy or homicidal? C'mon guys. Cut her SOME slack here. And just for the record, I don't even like Julie that much and I love Veronica.

We're just having fun with the situation, nothing else.

Some of the people on here are crazy ****s, including me, but we all know she wasn't trying to kill V. She does have an Evil laugh though hahah.

I know it's been brought up many a times, but my favorite Julie moment is when she freaked after the clutch incident (Gauntlet 2) or when she went for the narrow path and kept repeating "The path to God is straight and narrow" over and over again (Inferno 2).
LMAO and then she falls off...now THAT was the best part.
Hahaha, of course. Then they showed it in slow motion, which was even more hilarious.
