Gauntlet 2 is a little different though. Jo had many people around her age, not acting a fool, but enjoying in a cocktail or two and she just became super dramatic. She had to have been around 34 at the time, so she had people like Mark, Timmy, Beth, Montana, and Syrus all around her age.

Yeah I didn't understand why Jo didn't just hang out with the older castmembers that didn't drink and party. I think it would've made the experience much more bearable if she did that.

I don't think she knew any of them. I also think the line was drawn for her when Kina got chocolate syrup all over her bed. I would have been ****** too but not to the point she got.

Jo wasn't used to the wildness. It was Marks party the first night, so everyone was hammered. Including Timmy, Montana, David (Seattle) and Syrus. The only person I don't think was drunk was Ruthie.
She knew Mark they both vied for Puck's spot in the SF house.
I don't think she ever met him. If I remember correctly, they interviewed all the roommates separately.

What about Julie?
LOL! Are you serious?
It is the explanation at the time that I heard from both cast and crew, and it's not like that condition is unusual for some challenge participants.

I wanted someone to ask that. The Mormon good girl, isn't always so sweet. She did drink. She never got wasted, but she drank. They didn't show it, but that's to keep up her appearance. She is a good girl, but she did drink.
And Beth doesn't drink!
I also heard Jo was high during her outburst! That's why she was so irrational and almost confused.

Beth definitely drank that night and looked drunk. I'm shocked to hear that Jo was high, I thought that was just rumor.

Beth wasn't, and is not a drinker, then or now.

Beth isn't a drinker? There have been several moments on this show where I can tell Beth was drunk, ESPECIALLY on Gauntlet 2. That time she accuses (jokingly) Adam K. of looking at her breasts. She was definitely drunk.
How the **** was Jo high? I thought for sure production regulated on drug use during the challenges? IF SHE WAS high, then she deserved to be kicked off. Drinking is one thing, but to be doing drugs on a challenge is just tacky and nasty.

You get kicked off right away if they find drugs on you. Look at Piggy on the Inferno. It was the first night, but the cast get's settled in before the camera's role, maybe she scored some drugs somewhere in the Island?
TOP 10 MOST DRAMATIC DEPARTURES:
10. Veronica - Battle of the Sexes I
9. Irulan - The Gauntlet
8. Rachel - The Inferno III
7. Chadwick & Piggy - Battle of the Seasons
6. Ty - Cutthroat
5. Ayanna - Battle of the Sexes II
4. Evelyn & Luke - Freshmeat II
3. CT - The Duel
2. CT & Adam - The Duel II
1. David - Battle of the Sexes I
I was going to sat Ayanna.
The top 3 definitely are (at least in my opinion):
Ayanna- BOTS (I slept in my uniform last night, because I wanted to win today...)
Rachel M.- Inferno III
Vinny/Ty- Cutthroat
What happened with Rachel in I3? I don't remember
I think she lost in the first female Inferno and she started crying a lot or something like that.
She cried hysterically, ran off as soon as she lost without even saying bye to her team, and then later was embarrassed to have lost to "a chubby civilian" (Jenn).

I'm shocked you didn't go with Rachel on Battle of the Sexes. "This game is UGLY, the inner circle is UGGGGGGLY, and I don't want to be a part of it anymore. Peace!" ;)
