Cut Throat - Laurel Stucky

I think Laurel got the bad edit because in the dailies Easy was gettin' on her. Either way they both were in the wrong IMO, and hopefully they will be friends in a future challenge.
So i just watched the daily in which the fight happens and all i have to say is; Editing Editing Editing, Way to go MTV!
It would be interesting to know whether Big Easy began it by making fun of her height. If so, I can understand much better where Laurel is coming from. Of course her going off on him still was wrong, but I can see her being bullied especially as a teen for her height, and those issue can remain deep inside people. Of course some learn and would never do that to others, but him pushing her button and Laurel being drunk makes much sense. Doesnt have to be this way, and I'm not excusing her behaviour anyway, but it definitely puts things in a different perspective.
What editing?
What editing?
they cut out the part where big easy started to make fun of her back acne and needing pro active

That's the one thing I really don't like about Real World's editor(s)...the deception, misleading, and lying. Why not just show the full clip first? Instead they show a completely one-sided cut of it, which is just as wrong as anything people on the show do. You can still make an interesting show without pseudo-slandering people. From the new version the things Laurel said were still wrong and inexcusable, but there was more back and forth jabbing that definitely ramped things up.
Wow! Talk about terrific editing. They cut out the part where Eric is going in on Laurel too. I don't know who started the fight, but it's not like Eric was looking vulnerable. At the end of the day, Eric won the battle because, he made fun of her back acne which hit her hard, he made her cry at the end, He got people on his side and she apologized to him. MTV really knows how to manipulate people. That is why I never judge anyone on these challenges until i see the whole story. Like the Dailies.

That does not make it ok for her to go and be SOOOO mean to Erik. I do not care who you are. I know you are not excusing her, but still I do not think that should change anyone's opinion of her! Horrible and mean!
Wow it is a different take on the whole thing, basically they tried to one up each other and basically Laurel just went a bit farther. If Eric started then its not even cool cause she is a girl, still doesn't excuse Laurel taking it so farther but yeah completely different light.

They make you first choose a side, then they show another side, then you're gonna want the whole thing. Simple trickery.
Seriously, some people here have a serious case of double standard. They were BOTH wrong, Eric attacked Laurel at one thing she is self-conscious about and she attacked him on something he is self-conscious about. None of the were right and they should both apologize to each other, but I respect Laurel for coming out publicly and doing that. Sometimes some of you seriously have double-standards. 1) CT attcked someone on the last what? 3 challenges he's been on, there was BLOOD in the fight between him and Adam, and some of you are all like "CT should come back to these challenges, I want to see him on these things" yet because Laurel said something mean to Eric, you say "She should be banned from these challenges, she should never come back, she's disgusting?" That makes no sense to me and is extremely hypocritical. 2) Some of you said "I'd never make fun of someone's physical body and Laurel was low to do that" yet you cheer on Eric for making fun of her back-acne and her height? That's hypocritical yet again. Don't be confused, I'm not saying she was right or anything, in fact, I agree that she should stop getting drunk because she gets out of control, I just want to point out how some of you just do not like Laurel (which is fine I guess, it's your opinion) and just have double standards with anything concerning her. The girl apologized publicly on Vevmo, Facebook and Twitter, let it go. WHo knows if Eric forgave her or not? Not you, so it's unfair for anyone here to say "She doesn't deserve to be forgiven" or "She's the lowest human being ever." Those are more derogatory statements than anything else. Have you never done something you regretted? In the words of a great man "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

I mean, do I think Laurel should be "banned" from challenges? Absolutely not. She didn't do anything wrong challenge-wise, just personality/socially. CT on the other hand I do think should be banned from the challenges.
As far as I know, he has yet to forgive her.
Are you aware if Laurel's been able to contact him personally or if he even acknowledged her apologies? This could actually be a better question for Laurel for the next time she checks here...
I do find it funny that one the second Dailie were Dan is trying to fix things between Eric and Laurel, Shavoun the usual camera ***** is trying to bring up the Vinny thing lol.
Are you aware if Laurel's been able to contact him personally or if he even acknowledged her apologies? This could actually be a better question for Laurel for the next time she checks here...
I know she personally apologized to him the next day and he did not accept it. And I believe she was trying to get his phone number as of just a couple days ago. And they are not friends on Facebook. So it would appear as though no, she has not been able to contact him personally. But yes, perhaps Laurel would be a better person to ask.
Hmm alright. I knew she was trying to find his phone number (from her statign that on here) but I didn't know she tried the day after it happened. Hopefully when she makes another stop in she can elaborate further on the status of that.
Crazy how editing works. Granted, Laurel still said all of those awful things, but Eric was no saint either. I feel slightly differently now upon seeing that dailies clip. Both need to apologize.
I agree, it's alot different when you see both sides of the story, but what was odd was that when Laurel was on here discussing the situation, I don't really remember her trying to acknowledge Eric doing anything and it seemed like she felt she was the only one at fault. I know that's probably not the case but she's been doing the right thing by trying to be the bigger person.
She said we didnt see the full story but she wasn't gonna elaborate, which to be fair is commendable cause she could've said here, facebook or twitter how Eric also insulted her, instead she quickly apologized instead of pointing fingers. In the end they were both wrong.

She probably was just as oblivious to the fact that Eric also instigated things as we were before MTV posted the dailies clip. I'm not saying I think Laurel was black out drunk but when people get as drunk as she seemed to be things can get a little hazy, lol. ANYWAY, I finally watched the clip and I still feel that Laurel was much more in the wrong and took it too far. To me the things Eric kept saying to Laurel just seemed like him going into defense mode cause she was really genuinely hurting his feelings and embarrassing him. Even later in the other clip with Tyler, Shauvon, Dan, Laurel, and Eric she still continues to curse at him while he remains calm and collected. I don't like either of these cast members but I really do feel like Laurel is the one that owed the bigger apology and needs to do something about her drinking problem. Eric wasn't innocent by any means but I think Laurel took it WAY too far and to a level where it really did not need to go.

Was Laurel worse? I believe so. But is she handling it better now? I also believe so.
I think the big difference now is, that before we saw the Dailie it looked like an unprovoked attack by Laurel, but now it just looks like an insult contest that went too far. I think many of us have had those moments especially when drunk.
She said we didnt see the full story but she wasn't gonna elaborate, which to be fair is commendable cause she could've said here, facebook or twitter how Eric also insulted her, instead she quickly apologized instead of pointing fingers. In the end they were both wrong.
Yeah, I remember she eluded to something:
I'm trying to respond to Cait3223 I don't know if this is the right way, but I quoted you. In response to this note I was watching Episode 2 of Cutthroat on Thurs with Theresa and we saw the sneak peek with a picture of me in the hot tub and clicked it. I couldn't even finish watching it. I turned it off. I didn't remember the extent of what I said. I still haven't watched the full clip. I couldn't. I don't know what I can say and what I can't say about anything really with MTV. I never really know, but I think I can say that I didn't see this clip before anyone else. I have not seen any episodes from this season and I did not know they were going to show me. I figured there was so much other better drama in the house that they wouldn't show anything involving me. There is more to the story then what you see, but I won't even go into detail because it doesn't even matter. I just don't want any young viewers to think that being mean is OK. I would never intentionally try to hurt somebody, but in this instance I did. So I apologized. Because I felt that I was in the wrong, and also I put myself in Eric's position.
Seeing the daily clips, in a way it does make me feel better about the situation that it wasn't just her whaling on Eric for seemingly no reason at all. He did make a remark that seemed to hit a soft spot, and perhaps that is when she kicked her insults into turbo mode. BUT, it did appear that she was the one to start things, because Eric is shown coming up to the hot tub, and she's commenting about him being there, coming to spectate. So for the time being, I still think she comes across worse overall, though Eric doesn't look like the saddest, most innocent victim anymore. I think it is sad that both of them ended up saying hurtful stuff, though. I just don't understand how she didn't seem to realize (at the time) that the stuff she said about his appearance wasn't hurtful, yet his comment about her back was regarded as a low blow to her. I guess it was a mixture of the alcohol and insecurity.
Thing is, we still know Laurel started the insults when Eric just walked out there, but again, she was the drunk one so it's hard to choose a side. The way I see it, it's over, Laurel's done her best to try and fix it a best she could, and now it's all on Eric's shoulders as to whether he wants the whole situation squashed or not. Will it erase the whole thing completely? No. But was it a better approach than alot of the other castmembers would of taken? **** yes

Oh, and when I agreed with you regarding V1's scripture quote, I didn't notice he had a prior post mentioning the forgive if you wish to be forgiven rule. I mentioned it later to add on to what he said, but it had already been said, so sorry for missing it. I just went back to read some posts and noticed it.
I'm just stating my opinion on the situation and I found it entertaining. Tj I know this isn't the Bad Girls Club, but the show is missing drama and frankly Laurel knows how to bring it. My generation (well the majority) only watch to see the fights.
Aren't we the same age? I don't only watch to see the fights, thats not what drew me into the show. Sure, they are fun, but not all the time. And I don't think "your generation" only watches it for the fights. Just sayin....

I know that's not the reason why I watch that show. Sure the fights are entertaining, but I would rather watch good competition. And this fight between Laurel and Easy was definitely not fun to watch, it was actually quite hard to stomach at some points.
