I completely agree on that. I know that's not the reason why I watch that show. Sure the fights are entertaining, but I would rather watch good competition. And this fight between Laurel and Easy was definitely not fun to watch, it was actually quite hard to stomach at some points.
I agree. Competition outdoes fights anyday...unless they involve Katie, then they take the cake, hands down:lol2:

I think there will be some Katie drama this Wednesday.
If I wanted to see fights I'd see UFC.
I wonder if they will edit it to just show Laurel insulting Eric, or if they will show Eric also taking it to Laurel on the actual show, not everyone sees Dailies so it might be interesting to see what BMP decides to air.

Judging from the sneak peek it seems to be more Laurel insulting Eric.
Wow I think the daily makes her look even worse. She was singing about how fat and ugly he was and how small his **** was for like 3 minutes. I guess we all see different things though.

I agree !!! IMO, the new dailies don't make any differences. Eric could have said so much more and worse to go back at her. It's also ridiculous how she played victim by standing there and cry.
I think the reason why some people (yes, including me) don't believe in laurel's sincere is because she did it to so many people already. It's not like she's always a nice girl and get nasty when she's drunk. She's still mean and say nasty stuff when she's sober. It's just my opinion alright !!! Laurel-wanna-be please don't attack me. Geezzzz

Why are you so defensive? Everyone here is having a discussion, no one is attacking anyone. Sure you have you opinion, as does everyone.
I personally think that I haven't seen Laurel being "nasty" or mean to anyone who wasn't mean to her. This time she took it too far, but I see her being mean to Mandi (and Carley in FM2) as her being defensive because they have said things about her without even knowing her, or do some just conveniently forget those parts? Even Laurel said on the after show and in this episode that she wasn't aiming anything at Chet, just at Mandi. They both don't like each other.
Other than that, I don't see her being "nasty and mean" as some like to make her out as. This with Eric was the only time I, personally consider her as going too far.
And she apologized for that, which I think is commendable.
By the way, I disagree with the person who says this generation only watch the shows for drama, I consider myself as part of this generation (I am 20 years old) and sometimes I think the drama is seriously overrated and overbearing, I prefer to see more competition. Sometimes I feel as though I'm watching 15 minutes of competition and 30 minutes of nonsensical drama.
The new clip makes it even more obvious how drunk and obliterated she is. Excusable-ness +1.
So because she's that much more drunk and obliterated, that makes it excusable?
No it's not excusable overall - she was still behaving very wrongly, but she was clearly very out of it and incapable of rational thoughts and actions.

A wise person once told me that drunken actions are sober thoughts.

I like that phrasing. That's going in one of my facts of life spiel for my kids (eventually).
Ok my thoughts:
Yes, Mtv did edit out Eric's insults, but to me it seemed like his insults were in response to what Laurel was saying/started. I do agree that the clip on mtv.com made it seem like Laurel just started ranting and raving for no apparent reason, but I am still on Eric's side on this matter.
This reminds me of all the controversy during the Duel when Robin asked Anessa is she was bi/gay/blk/white.
Weird twist of fate that on tommorow's episode of all episodes (the laurel eric thing) and tommorow of all days (tommorow is stop bullying day and you show your support by wearing purple)..Eric wears a purple shirt.

That is strange....
I know she personally apologized to him the next day and he did not accept it. And I believe she was trying to get his phone number as of just a couple days ago. And they are not friends on Facebook. So it would appear as though no, she has not been able to contact him personally.

But yes, perhaps Laurel would be a better person to ask.
Laurel is presently out of the country.
She posted here two days ago, then Tweeted last night, unless she did it exclusively by phone. So unless that's the case she may check up on here again to give some more input.
Crazy how editing works. Granted, Laurel still said all of those awful things, but Eric was no saint either. I feel slightly differently now upon seeing that dailies clip. Both need to apologize.
Fair enough, and 2 wrongs doesn't make a right. However, Laurel in my opinion has lost her athletic focus and was viewed as very strong on the Frsh Meat, not because she was behaving in a drunken stupor, but because she was flat out kicking a@#. I think personally, that is what bothers me the most. However, she doesn't appear on the challenges to appease fans.
Somehow, she in my opinion thinks that barking insults at people will provide a better edit. Use your skillsets and harness them towards the competition. As for Big Easy, I will say that Laurel's barrage wasn't totally unwarranted. In addition, if one dishes, he should also be prepared to take it. While I still think there is a tremendous difference in levels of magnitude, Eric should not have initiated anything without expecting a rebuttal regardless of the timing. Yet, I stand by my comment about her track record in dealing with people. A change in her personal approach is required to disrupt the pattern she has laid forth.
Saw the extended version of the video in question. Still think Laurel was way out of line. She started it, and Eric's comments seemed only to be in response to her antagonizing. Her subsequent comments were completely uncalled for and she looked like a total idiot with her singing and making a scene in the hot tub, despite numerous attempts by Brandon and others to get her to be quiet for her own good. Then she's going to play the victim after saying she's self-conscious about the height thing despite the fact that she went after Eric's weight, with much more malice. Like he's not self-conscious about that?

I don't know how it happened, but it seems to me like she said something about "purple shirt" then he said the "back acne" then she went into her ramblings about his size etc. As I said before, I view it as they were both wrong and went too far. She needs to watch her drinking.

Oh my gosh!!! I fully agree with you, I liked that laurel much better, when she ignored Carley after she made judgements about her, and Laurel just used her strength and ability over her words. Now, she's using verbal abuse and alcohol, instead of focusing on her skills and the fighter that's in there. I rather that Laurel and I want her back! lol. Even the Vet girls loved her on that challenge. And I liked watching that Laurel. it seems as though she's learned a little from her mistakes in this challenge, but I hope she learned enough to stop getting drunk and she brings back the old Laurel.
I actually didn't think Laurel was taking this whole thing seriously until now.
Wow. It was hard to see her cry. People need to forgive her and let it go. She understands how hurtful it was and is taking responsibility for her actions. I actually like her a little bit now. lol.
I sure as **** do not like Laurel. Didn't like her last season and do not like her this one. But at least she apologized. Does that make it ok?? **** no. Does Eric have to accept it?? **** no. But at the very least AT LEAST she apologized
Lets get our head out of our ***... Laurel isn't sorry about anything. If she really was sorry or felt bad, she would've apologized to Eric a long time ago. She only did it now for PR to make herself look good and she did it a week before the episode aired to hopefully fend off a little bit of the negative backlash she knew she'd be receiving.

She said she apologized to him in Prague but he didn't accept.
