I'm actually quite surprised it crossed one million considering the amount of promotion it got.
LMAO..not surprised since I only seen one commercial and it was only them backstage, I honestly don't even blame this on the cast, this was all MTV's fault.
I'm guessing that the reunion got this much viewers because some fans that watched the finale probably assumed there was going to be a reunion even thought there wasn't any promotion.
I wonder if MTV even cared about the reunion? Cause if they did they would try to promote and get good ratings. Once again, Vevmo did more promotion :).
Wow those ratings are pretty bad. Again is it bad that I am so happy to see these horrible numbers? Keep casting JEK every season and this is what you get. I am glad so many people are tuning out.

Whoops, sorry for not posting this earlier on. The Ruins finale episode, (which averaged 1.835 million overall), ended up taking the #7 spot on Media Life Magazine for adults ages 18-34 with 1.245 million viewers.

Anyway, we are looking at 200,000 viewers bailing from the Duel. Maybe a little more, but in that range.
If it keeps bleeding at that rate, it would be bad.
That aside, it was an entertaining season. My JEK bias aside. The issue was the "cool" people were gone early.
Personal aside: If Wes would have been in the game, ratings would have been better? They look like they were reasonably stable.
LOL these ratings are awful. Comparing them to Jersey Shore ratings shows how bad The Ruins did. Can't wait till MTV announces the cancellation of this show and we never have to see most of these people again, mainly JEK.

This show and RW isn't going anywhere, sorry to burst your bubble. I've seen worse ratings, but keep complaining, as long as your still watching and complaining, that is all that matters.

No I dont take it THAT seriously. What good would me not commenting on the show do if I want it gone? Nielsen ratings aren't compiled by how many posts a show garners last time I checked. I never denied that I watched most of the Ruins so yea, I still watch occansionally. So what? I really dont see why I should stop bashing the show, to satisfy you?

I watched The Ruins only for Veronica's return. If it wasnt for her I wouldnt have watched just to avoid people like JEK, Casey, and well almost the entire cast.
To the others, I have been watching RW/RR related shows for 14 years now so naturally a habit I've had for this long will be hard to break. I would be perfectly fine watching challenges but people like JEK ruin them and we are having the same outcome every challenge now, or so it seems, with them winning it. All the while being a holes to everyone. It just gets annoying & boring. It doesnt have to be this way but since BMP's casting department has gotten so lazy to where it seems they dont even care about the show, then why should I? I'm not the typical fan who is satisfied with the same boring people every challenge. I do remember a time when the casts were amazing and the shows were of good quality.

Oh, and I don't get how JEK "ruins" the show. Lets be honest, they bring in the entertainment and simply are better players than the others (Winning almost every challenge they've been on). However, I do agree that Bunim-Murray's casting has been extremely dull lately and is probably one of the causes of the recent plummet in ratings. They ruin the show because they don't have likable personalities, they are very annoying, and they always get way too much airtime! It's partially the producers fault for thinking that America loves them and always feeling the need to cast them.

As stated in my previous post, I watched The Ruins FOR VERONICA'S RETURN. I hardly watch challenges anymore because I dont like them, the cast for FM2 is not to my liking so I wont be watching that one, happy now? Good lord, plenty of people criticize the show in their posts, why do I get $h!+ on for throwing in my two cents?

Like I just said, I wont be watching the next challenge because Veronica isn't on it. You may not get how JEK ruin the show but apparently a lot of other people do which would explain the serious decline in ratings. Glad you can see the BMP's casting has not only been dull but just simply put, very lazy. Oh and trust me, I wont be watching much anymore. I will be following several others and just tune the show out completely unless there are some major changes. This is why I am so upset that ILM wont be coming back. The casts for ILM's 1, 2, 3 & 4 have all been so diverse with very few returning players. This proves that if the casting directors care enough they can put together an amazing cast every season not just every once in a while like BMP does.

If it was really that much of a problem, ya'll wouldn't watch or comment. I hardly ever watch vh1 shows anymore cause i can't stand them, and I hardly ever comment on them. If ya'll are taking that much time to criticize and *****, then its obviously having an affect.

Also Aquatta, don't get me wrong. I have no problem with you throwing in your two cents. But how can you pass such rude judgements on JEK based on a heavily edited show? You say they're poison, they ruin the show, they're *****, their clothing line sucks, Evan is a horseface, blah blah blah... but you, being someone who has watched these shows for fourteen years, should know that its mostly the edit. Johnny, Kenny, and Evan are friends with many people outside of these shows. Don't you think if they were THAT bad in real life, that they would be hated amongst the other castmembers as well? Come on!

For me 3 people aren't enough to stop me watching. I still want to see the people like Katie, Brad, Jenn, Rachel, Mark, Tori, Kim, Cohutta ect. but clearly they are stopping many, many, many people from watching....
Look at how the ratings have changed since JEK started running the show
