ABC Family was led by the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding (1.48M) and had a bunch of airings of America’s Funniest Home Videos (best at 1.45M) at the top of its list. The movie The Sandlot (a classic!) averaged 1.24 million. Lincoln Heights averaged 860K and Greek8 Simple Rules averaged 740K last Monday (9/28) but a Sunday 11am rerun of averaged 783K. Syfy was led by Ghost Hunters (2.89M) the two hour premiere of Stargate Universe (2.35M) and Destination Truth (2.33M). MTV was led by The Hills (2.357M) followed by The City (2.028M) and Real World/Road Rules: The Ruins (1.699M). VH1 was led by last Monday’s (9/28) Real Chance of Love 2 (1.391M) followed by Eddie Griffin (1.184M) and My Antonio ( 1.103M). Bonus: best That’s So Raven rerun on Disney — 2.488 million at 11:30p on Friday night.
Ouch! Even The City got better ratings! EDIT: And 3 shows on SyFy...and a rerun of That's So Raven. That's like a quadruple ouch with a double whammy.
Media Life has posted the weekly Top 10 charts for Cable. The Ruins is no where to be found. Instead, we see The Hills (#3) with 1.601 million for adults 18-34 and The City (#4) with 1.461 million for adults 18-34. :puke: The Panthers/Cowboys game along with The Ultimate Fighter occupy the #1 & 2 slots. I think the ratings would be better if it wasn't so obvious which pack of idiots will win each time - UGH.
They need to stop casting Kenny, Johnny, Evan, Evelyn, etc. who bring the same **** to every challenge. They need to bring back more fun missions like past seasons (Ice cream eating, bungee jumping, fat suit race, chicken race, etc.). I feel like its becoming too much like Survivor.

Along with bringing back better challenges, they need to bring back some familiar faces. I don't like how every time there is a new season of the RW we see at least half that cast in there... if you didn't watch that season you have now idea who these people are. Honestly, if they plan on keeping JEK around they should really bring in a Coral, Tina, Rachel and Veronica quad in which they could squash them because honestly I feel like that is the only group who could ever give them a run for their money... the only ones who are actually strong enough to stand up to them and the only ones others may actually listen to. I know most of them are friends though so finding a way to pit them against each other may become a challenge in itself but JEK really needs to be humbled... If anything, just take out Evan. Kenny isn't a great athlete nor is he too smart and Banana isn't as good as he thinks he is... they really ride on Evan's strength. Well... I guess if CT and Abram ever teamed up, NO ONE would stand a chance.

Things are picking up! Episode 2 Ratings - Real World / Road Rules: The Ruins - 2.047 million viewers - 1.4/3 HH - 1.3/4 A18-49
As predicted, the repeat views from last week aggregated to give The Ruins a shot in the arm this week.

This is great news!
As predicted, the repeat views from last weeks aggregated to give The Ruins a shot in the arm this week.
Agreed. However, it looks like less repeats will be shown this time. Two will be shown today, only one tomorrow, and only one on Sunday.
Agreed. However, it looks like less repeats will be shown this time. Two will be shown today, only one tomorrow, and only one on Sunday.
Yes, they will trend the repeats down in order to attempt to size up the premier showing of a given episode. They will lose viewers in the long tail but get upspikes in short term viewing patterns. Such is the methodology of MTV.
Yes!! Glad to see the ratings go up about .3 million viewers this week!
Hey, at least they're not as low as ECW for the WWE right now :)
I am expecting the numbers to SKYROCKET. With the Tonya/Veronica and Katie/Sarah fights and other thrilling footage shown in the episode 4 preview shown after tonights episode plus the many many repeats coming up, I think we will recieve fascinating ratings for the show next week. Here is the schedule for episode 3 repeats coming up in the next 3 days, via mtv.com...

Wednesday, October 14 9:00 PM ET/PT on MTV 10:00 PM ET/PT on MTV 11:00 PM ET/PT on MTV
Thursday, October 15 2:00 AM ET/PT on MTV 10:00 AM ET/PT on MTV 2:00 PM ET/PT on MTV 8:00 PM ET/PT on MTV
Friday, October 16 11:00 AM ET/PT on MTV 5:00 PM ET/PT on MTV
My only worry is what Bacchus stated before here. They always cut down the repeats one week and bring em' back up the next week. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
My only worry is what Bacchus stated before here. They always cut down the repeats one week and bring em' back up the next week. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
As of last night, my TV Guide data did not even show the reruns today (it is pulled in 10 days in advance and does not always update.) I repolled it this morning and today's showings popped up. I'm wondering if they were going to cut back and then changed their mind for one reason or another? Either way, I am happy they they have decided to offer a full schedule of repeats this week but I think that once they feel they have reached all the people they can and are in the land of diminishing returns, they will lower the amount of episodes rebroadcast per week.
I'm glad ratings are on the way up. I watched Episode 2 4 times last week, so the ratings better have gone up!! But the show is worth watching, best challenge we've seen in a while.
I always watch everything on MTV.com. do they take that into consideration when determining the ratings?
Episode 2 marks the debut for The Ruins in the Top 10 list for adults 18-34...

Thats great for the show.
Notice how The Ruins is almost even with The Hills. The Hills are going down. This is great news!
Thanks Blanky! I hope the Ruins overthrows the Hills soon.
Episode 3 Ratings: As I predicted, huge loss in viewers. Real World / Road Rules: The Ruins - 1.611 million viewers - 1.1/2 HH - 1.0/3 A18-49
Well episode 4 looks big, so hopefully it can pick up next week.
I doubt episode 4 will pick very much.
Episode 4 looks like alot of drama, that should be able to draw people in if there's alot of commercials.
They have been showing lots of repeats. I think this is a wholesale rejection of JEK and the way things seem to be heading. It is clear who runs the show. So if you are a JEK fan, awesome. If you like one of the other "X" people (i.e. not JEK and friends) you are screwed as a viewer - so you stop watching. There are many more viewers pulling for "X" then JEK+, and if they give up the ratings will never go up.
If they show commecials it will do well but it seems like each week they promote less.
Gee, thats wierd. I thought everyone in america "loved Mr. Beautiful"
