Also, who was Katie trying to fool by volunteering?
I believe that Katie said she would rather volunteer herself than be voted in by her team, since she knew it was coming. Something about going out on her terms, not theirs.
Usually I dont like either Kenny or Evan, however in this episode I totally agree with them when they said they have to take away all the girls that dont do anything for the team because cant swim, dont like higth, can run, etc... I wonder why the **** do the go to the challenges? I mean, they cant win if they dont have atletics habilities... unless you are Big E jajajaja... I hope Casey and Veronica go home soon...
I don't think JEK are evil. I don't hate them, I just think they take things too far and are very immature.
It is human nature to comfort someone when they are down (Evan to Tonya) and I applaud him for that.
I honestly feel bad for Tonya, seeing the flashback of clips of her falling down drunk was horrible. It's not normal to get that drunk that often.

When he said that, I got a flashback from Gauntlet 3 when Kenny said.."We have to get rid of our excess fat, and it comes in the form of about 4 females." And then they flashed to Coral, Katie, Robin, and somebody else. Just like it flashed to Ibis, Susie, etc. IDK I just got Deja vu, as much as Kenny and Evan are *******s, they do have a point.
If Casey was on their team they would die.
I wonder if this really is Katie's last challenge... I figured it would be when she got engaged, but aren't her and her fiance not engaged anymore?
Katie supposedly said the engagement was off in one of them fancy social sites. I'm not a big Myspace, Facebook, Twitter user so hard for me to pinpoint the exact site she said it in.
Personally, i do hope The Ruins was her last. We are SERIOUSLY lacking in terms of RR: The Quest members joining in the fun. Adam retired, Blair could do another one if he's not too busy with the MTV Video Game site, Jisela could come back as long as her job doesn't get in the way, who's Steve again, Ellen doesn't seem to be in any hurry since she had a child and she'd probably do one as long as Puck is not around, and Sophia was an emotional wreck in the latter stages of BOTS2 but it was touching how she tried to protect her best friend Ruthie from being voted off but Coral and Arissa had the majority vote. I also loved her stand up to Steven when he was being a chauvinist pig after the electricity pole mission. I'd rather see someone like Sophia back over someone like Steven who ruined his chances of repeats the moment he slapped Shane.
From an entertainment stand-point .. this was hands down one of the best Challenge episodes of all-time (coming from a viewer who's been watching since BOTSeasons). Katie, Veronica, and Tonya were in all-out psychopath mode and I was eating up every second of it.
I love how before The Ruins started there was so much excitement about how Veronica was going to be on and how everyone was so excited (yes I am a regular) ... and now she's being looked at as the spawn of Satan. Did anyone ever actually think she was going to be a different, more mature person going into this? That she was going to "change" the game and go against the so-called evil forces of "JEK" and take em down? Because I absolutely did not and was hoping that she was going to be the same evil, nasty, kneiving ****** she's always been portrayed to be... doing whatever it takes to win, making the same snarky, demeaning remarks to people who she feels is inferior to her .. and that she is. Bravo Veronica, you have made this hands down the most entertainment challenge for me since ... The Duel lol. I absolutely love her. My favorite quote (from a confessional): "Hello? I am the one who has just been attacked by this crazy psychopath .. why is everyone on her side?" It's a **** shame her team is trying to get rid of her next week. Hopefully she'll prove herself and come through ... V FTW!
The inner-psycho Katie that existed on the first Inferno was back tonight to and it was absolutely amazing ... not to mention that it was hilarious HER out of all people to have a plunger in their bed! Disgusting? Yes. Was it great TV? Absolutely! I personally do not care much at all for JEK and find it rather annoying how they always seem to run the game by manipulating people into being on their side (though I can understand how their personalities can make a person feel as though they are being "accepted" when they are actually being embracing ... ie. Sarah - probably a ploy on their part to have another ally on the Challengers side).. not to mention their tricks are childish and often annoying (in this case though I found it to be absolutely hilarious what they did with the plunger) ... however they are playing a very great game that will ultimately help them be carried to the finals if executed correctly. It's not their fault that all these other people are simply allowing themselves to be manipulated when they could be playing just as good of a game as well. I hate people who make excuses on these shows. You've seen the mistakes that have been made on these shows whether it be as a viewer or through experiencing it first-hand ... LEARN! And don't blame it on being a numbers game either ... on this challenge it's three people you're allowing to manipulate your *****. Pick it up!
Tonya is an absolute mess and needs to get it together. However, again, as a viewer, I absolutely loved her antics on this past episode. My favorite line of all was when she was screaming at Veronica, saying how V should never have been picking on people half her age, to which V said "Who is half your age?" Tonya responds, "I'M NOT NOW!" It is absolute reality television gold what happened on last night's episode.. not to mention that slap was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I feel horrible for Tonya and her outside issues but placing herself in that sort of hostile, negative situation with such (seemingly) callus individuals was the worst possible idea she could've gone forth with. Still, her time on The Ruins was the most I've ever actually enjoyed watching her .. disregarding the fact that she is an extremely, extremely lost soul who was in desperation for help while the show was filiming. However ... She's 30(ish) years old now ... it's time to get it together and start dealing with reality.
Great episode last night, I wish the ones coming will follow suit but I know they won't due to my two favorites leaving! Let's hope Veronica can keep the drama coming next week. ;)
PS The Challengers have NO hope of winning! I'm not even watching for competition at this point ... Casey's performance in the missions absolute disgusts me. Why invite someone to a Challenge who brings minimal entertainment value and absolutely NO competitiveness to the table?
I think that Katie will come one day. She didn't sound too convincing when she said it would be her last. She said "probibaly" and "I've said that before, though." Love her or hate her, she is great tv.
Veronica's gleaving!
Say what you want, without, Evan, Kenny, Johnny, Wes, Katie, Veronica, and Tonya this challenge would be boring.
Without Evan and Kenny taunting, none of this would ever happen. I can't wait until they retire from the challenges to see who the blame gets put on next. Or maybe when they do retire, there will be NO drama, and everyone will be wishing for them to be back to stir some **** up. I can't take another challenge like the Duel 2. B-O-R-I-N-G.

I'm giving it two years tops lol. She can't resist a good ol' invite back to the challenges once the novelty of "leaving for good" wears thin. From what it seems it's kinda like she's holding a slight grudge against the way the Challenges have been going lately .. and who could blame her? However, we all know how well Katie can hold grudges from the past lol, so I'm hoping that trend continues to stay true.
I agree with Jurred, Sarah is probably being used so that she won't go agaisnt Susie in the future.
LOL, the only time that Vero was actually half Tonya's age was when they were 6 and 3. LOL
Also, who was Katie trying to fool by volunteering? She knew her *** was going in anyway
She wasn't trying to fool anyone. She basically said exactly that.
uh oh Veronica.. As you continue to pull yourself further and further away from Ke/JOh/Ev.. Im starting to like you more and more :)..
Derrick needs to shutup.. I cannot stand him anymore.. Hes the most annoying butt kisser i have ever seen..

He just plays the best game possible for himself, which is to ally with JEK. I think he feels what was done in this challenge(JEK picking on Tonya, sending in Ev vs Kellyanne) was wrong, but he needs to think about himself first.

I agree I think he is doing whats best for his game.. But If Kev/Ev/John didnt have followers like him then they would be powerless..
That's true.
BTW, the Challengers screwed theirselves over last week when they won the mission they should've put Casey in instead of Brianna... Because of Casey they lost this weeks mission so I don't feel sorry at all for them... If it continues like this, they're playing the final challenge with 3 people. I think Cohutta will go in next week and he'll probably lose, which leaves them just Brad and Dunbar. Brad is a great competitor ofcourse, but Dunbar... He lookes athletic and all that, but he didn't prove himself on the Island nor the Duel.
Since i'm trying so hard to change my take on people, my take on the 3 guys remaining on the Challengers stands thus:
1. Brad - He's always been a solid competitor so him taking the leadership role where Adam left behind would be a bigger boost to the team.
2. Cohutta - He might be seen as week but who beat Derrick at plain reading? If it comes to the mental aspects, Cohutta can last a while.
3. Dunbar - Despite his obvious temper, so far he hasn't made waves which is good for him since it's made him last this far. He has great physical potential, all he has to do is keep his emotions in check and he'll be able to last till the end.
Dunbar pretty much should be the last person called out if the champs keep winning because1. He is the biggest and strongest2. He most likely will send someone home and the champs don't want to risk itAlso the Island wasn't a real great grasp of his potential as he didn't go into a face-off.On the Duel 2 he did in my estimation show even though he lost that he could compete as he came up just a little short, this at least for me surprised me as I thought MJ should've easily beat him. You could argue that was the closest duel actually of the whole show.

We expect Evan to be hypocrite, whining back to Veronica, alas he is snuggling with Kenny but this is some of the funniest **** I have ever heard on Vevmo.
"I won't be childish and comment on Kenny and Evan in bed." - Crazyrealityguy
"I will!!! What the heck was going on in there?!?"- Insider
Oh how I love you guys.
I LOVED this episode. So much entertainment.
Veronica <333
Katie <33
JEK were being HUGE hypocrites, so I'm glad Wes said something about that.
It looks like they are going to try and send V into the ruins next episode :(
