Is It Too Early To start a thread On The D.C Cast? lol.
Im very excited lol..
I dont thnik its true but i read somewhere that A Reality T.V star from Vh1, was going to be on it?
The Only person i can think of Is The Girl From Rock Of love bus Britanya Bacasue she is smoking Hott!
1. Bacchus will start a cast thread when FACTS warrant.
2. Absent a source of even the most flimsy variety, I'm inclined to delete your comment regarding a past VH1 reality person as simply being incendiary.

Haha, I see a Vevmo fact checker has already been there to set the record straight. The truth can not be restrained! ;)
Oooo God it might be RW: Austin all over again, if people in DC behave like that. It's sad how being jealous, can change human behavior. I pray the DC cast will be safe, and just ignore them.

No... Austin and DC are way different animals. In DC, the people yelling 'go home' are not the physical types, but they will litter your life with press releases, lawful demonstrations, and intellectually challenging insults quoting Shakespeare, Thomas Mann and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. If they really get annoyed they will file lawsuits and complain to to their fellow current and former Congressional staffers/lobbyists.
God help this cast if they don't have IQs in the 130+ range and well above average social skills. (Yes, Bacchus, an entire cast of Parisas!)
It is funny to me that after all these years of the real world being around, it went so downhill in terms of the public accepting the show in their city. I sometimes wonder if the cast can even go to a demonstration on some issue like season 1 did and not get mobbed.
And we here don't?
No, we don't follow them around with video cameras and lurk behind the shadows and wait for them so we can identify their faces, or try to get on TV. I don't do that, do you?
And we here don't?
No, "we here don't". There is a difference between what we do and following someone's every steps around.

No, not really. I mean I have my own life to live than follow random people around like that. I mean look what happened when the other website thought that there Denver cast was legit and they ended up getting played.
I am trying to hold the middle ground on the DC season. However, I must admit that the anti-real world factions are much better bloggers than the proponents!
Anti-Real World Quote du jour:
“I want to remind my city officials that this is Washington, D.C. This is the most powerful city in the Western World and we don’t need MTV’s exposure. Our city is better than that…we deserve to be treated better than that. I mean come on Fenty, it’s MTV not the ****ing International Olympic Committee. For them I’d bend over and take it.”
Funny stuff, although a little grandiose.
While power is implemented in Washington, DC that doesn't mean it fully derives there. I think our friends on the Upper East Side of Manhattan would definitely argue over the title "most powerful city in the Western World" and I suspect they could make a solid case.
Still, I do agree that the International Olympic Committee is always worth bending over for. :D
Our city is better than that…
Well honestly seeing the things that happened in that city before MTV thought about going there...haha Anyway if there is alot of people who resent MTV being there when we might see some fights between cast and locals. It always seems to happen and on Austin it actually lead to Danny getting hurt. So we'll see how that turns out.
Bacchus you took the words right out of my mouth. With all due respect to the other amazing cities, and the District of Columbia, NYC is the most powerful. I'm not being bias, because I live here, but we are called the Capitol of the World.
Either way, I hope the cast is educated enough, and avoid any negative reactions from people who don't want them there.
Folks, DC had gay pride this weekend and as such the city was so busy, nobody cared about the House.
That being said, the only changes are to the windows and a new grill was bought. If you look at the thread Washington DC: House, you'll find an update from this weekend.
As for the cast, a male was chosen who is from Birmingham, Alabama. As for his name, my friend that told me is trying to find out. He thinks it could be Mark, or Matt, or possibly even Will ;). So really.. anything at this point lol. He's from that area and heard through friends.

Thanks for the info! :)
I'm not in DC today so I can't personally confirm this, but there are two reports:
First: Apparently a window was smashed in one of the bottom floor rooms. No pictures of this yet.
Second: Picked up some chatter that two blocks of 20th Street are blocked today because of what looks like camera gear. Also no pictures yet.
If somebody is in that area today, please post pics!

Yes, the window was broken. I didn't take picture because it seems too much like encouragement to the vandals involved.
RandoM... 20th North of R Street is blocked with Emergency Parking notices. There is a movie with Jack Nicholson shooting less than 100 yards from the RW house. A decent shot of Jack drunk in DC would pay my property tax bill for the year. Hopefully the guy working on the set will tip me off ;)
Lots of new pics today in the Stills and Video thread. Check them out.
What's funny is that Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson are filming about 5 blocks from the RW House as well. They're at 15th and S all day today...and in DC for the next thirteen weeks!

V1man, since you were just there today, what are your thoughts about the widely reported start date of tomorrow for the cast?
I'm still sticking with my belief that the second set of camera and audio operators were to be hired for the start date (June 27th) with the first set hired a bit earlier (June 20th) to do B-Roll footage and such.
Looking at the pictures, things are clearly coming along - but it doesn't scream "open for business." However, being you are the man on the street, you'd clearly have a better gauge on the situation.

If they are able to start tomorrow, it will be without anything much in the house... like beds. The hot tub was only delivered yesterday along with the granite counter tops. There are just too many deliveries still underway. The crew needs rehearsal time. I'd say they are a week away from start, as I predicted earlier.
Below is a pic of Bedroom # 4. You can clearly see two work lights in the room hanging from the ceiling.

Yeah, while I am indeed going to have minions around the house this weekend "just in case", I also think it'll be later in the week or next weekend before they start shooting inside (cast arrival).
