Yes, but I don't know a single thing that is not consistent with my last statement above (and they are small things, really; but, the devil is in the details...).
LOL. well you know I know that 1 thing but I am keeping it to myself as well..hehehe :)
I hope the duels this time around are really intense. Cause I don't remember that many really good match ups in the first duel. There were a few like Derrick vs Wes. But even the match ups with strong people like CT vs Evan, it was a boring duel.
The CT/Evan Duel was kind of awesome just based on how scared Evan was. Like, CT invoked fear in him. He even tried to cheat! It was awesome! But yeah, the Ascender thing was kind of boring in general. I think the CT/Brad Duel was cool too because of the fight that followed it. But competition wise, Derrick V. Wes was the best. I think there has to be some good guy Duels...I mean, look at the people who are left. Evan and Brad want to win more than anything in the world. Mark has so much history with the show. Landon and MJ are tough competitors. It'll be good no matter what the match up.
^ ascender was a stupid duel, but nothing will ever be worse than I Can, even sliders!
I know that the guys have really good potential to give us a good duel but i hope they don't get put into something stupid like i can. I mean, I guess sliders was only stupid cause we all like to see people get knocked around and we can see what they are thinking when they're doing a real physical match up and we can't see what they're thinking during sliders. Unless they mess up. And the CT vs Brad duel was only entertaining because of the fight. The actual match up with kinda lame cause CT totally smashed Brad. If he had kept his head on straight he would have avoided the dq.
No "Sliders" and no "I Can" -- you can sleep well tonight
Good, both of those elimination rounds were terrible. Especially I Can. Honestly?
No "Sliders" and no "I Can" -- you can sleep well tonight
Hey V1, you probly cant (or choose not to) tell, but could you tell us how many different Duels there are? And how many there are that aren't physical? When I say "arent physical" I mean not much movement (like Slider and I can). I know you said there's no Sliders or I Cans, but you did say something about there having to be at least one Duel that's fair for smaller competitors...unless you mean something like the Infernos from Inferno 3 where most of the Duels could have been won by either the bigger or smaller competitor? In short, are there any puzzles/all thinking Duels? Whether you choose to give us any hints or info or not, thanks!

I know of at least five different ones. All are physical in their own way, two or three have a significant upper body component, in two balance is important and in one, height may be an advantage. [Keep in mind that I've not seen any of the duels.]

[Keep in mind that I've not seen any of the duels.]
Thank you for the info! So is it for sure that this will be like the first Duel (and some other challenges) and the Duels will be replayed and not a new one every elimination, like the Inferno 3? I know it might be hard to get a different Duel that many times, but I suppose it could be done. I'm only asking because I thought you might know which Duel each person was sent home in and then you'd know if they were repeated, or if you just arent aware of which Duel EVERYBODY was sent home in. Haha, that might sound confusing but I got kinda confused by it myself. Also sorry if I'm asking for too much info, just curious because this challenge is sounding amazing, and when you said that the final week could be the best in challenge history, my head really got jumbled with questions. Again thanks for the answers and if you feel you can't give anything out, don't hesitate to decline! edit; this is kind of a question for everybody (and sorry this isnt part of spoilers) but has there been an elimination that was considered "dangerous"? I've seen every challenge but my mind is in other places right now so I can't think of any, and when you said balance plays a factor, it got me thinking of the challenge on the Inferno 3 where partners had to twist and untwist themselves on the beam above the canyon type pit. All of the Duels were "tame", as were most of the Infernos and Gauntlets...at least that I can remember haha

I just hope that they aren't any unsuspecting DQ traps in any of them. I'd also be very disappointed if everyone left have not seen the Duel at least once by now ...........

Maybe Derek was in an alliance with Brad and Tori, once he got home they moved towards the upper part of his top friends on myspace.
Surely some endurance element has to also be an attribute to have in these Duels...... I'd think. I just hope that they aren't any unsuspecting DQ traps in any of them
Very few of the elimination games in any of the challenges have relied on endurance. The only one I can think of off the top of my head that might count was the treadmill battle of Katie versus Julie on the first inferno. Endurance is much more of an element in the final mission of each challenge. Balance is interesting. They've done that before. I remember Tori competing in a pit game that involved balancing on one foot. Very happy to hear about the lack of "I Can."
Maybe Derek was in an alliance with Brad and Tori, once he got home they moved towards the upper part of his top friends on myspace.
Derek and Tori are close friends. I'd be surprised if they didn't have some kind of understanding on the show.

Such shocking eliminations could be just because the Duel had balance as an element. Upper body strength, sounds good for players like Tori and Rachel. Height? Wouldn't Tori be the shortest remaining?
Upper body strength, sounds good for players like Tori and Rachel. Height? Wouldn't Tori be the shortest remaining?
I think Tori is taller than Diem and Aneesa, and possibly Rachel, also. Brittini is the tallest, though.
Height? Wouldn't Tori be the shortest remaining?
It was her height advantage that gave her a spot on Road Rules 14 in the first place (granted, against 5 foot tall Veronica, but I think Tori is relatively tall)
Tori is 5'8"
V1 man I knew you were going to do that as soon as I found out there were going to be 6 winners.. 3 female and 3 male.. Now I need to find out on my own :( but I will not post it here (or anywhere else) so no worries! lol
1st place=$100,000 2nd place=$35,000 3rd place=15,000 This stands for both Male and Female, making a total of $300,000

I think the fact that the money structure is different this time around could really influence strategy. In the first duel, people were interested in taking out Jodi and CT before the final, because they were the toughest opponents and being runner-up didn't do much more good than losing in a duel. So they were willing to risk themselves to try to carve an easier path to the money in the end. This time, I would think people would be more eager to get themselves to the final and the guaranteed money, and might not want to risk themselves in one of the final duels by taking on a stronger competitor. V1Man, you certainly make this last week sound epic. I just hope it isn't epic in a way that leaves us wandering around in a miserable haze for several days, the way an actual Greek tragedy might.

I don't know if I can wait until April to see it.
Oh, dear. Now I am envisioning all these dramatic scenarios that involve Evan winning a sword fight to the death against Landon, Brad leaving Tori for Rachel, and Tori retaliating by running off with Diem, leaving Aneesa, Rachel, and Brittini to compete in the final by default. I hope it's not quite that dramatic. None of us want to wait until April to see it. I wish they were showing it before the RW instead of after. I keep waiting for them to announce a premiere date for the RW so that I can figure out how long I'll actually be waiting!

I guess my dream scenario is a Mark, Landon, Brad top three for the guys. Aneesa, Tori, and Rachel for the girls. But I like Britt too...so it's all good! I was thinking that I kind of wish Derrick did this challenge, but I guess he has a real life now and better things to do!
