How long is the first episode?
I believe all the episodes are one hour long. That's why my DVR future recordings show.
This is the first show I am been on vevmo for before it aired, since I discovered vevmo during RW Hollywood...it feels like I have been reading about the challenge forever and it's taken years to get to it. But now it's just one more night...
How long is the first episode?
It is 1 hour. But it will be so long ecause I have to explain the rules/format. But I am hoping that we get an extra week since they pushed it forward a week. V1, do you know if they are doing 2 eliminations per episode?
I hope you have all found your happy place and are at least understanding of why I didn't offer you more spoilers for The Island. If the editing is tight, then it should be interesting.
Instead of a spoiler, lets just do the math...
It they evicted two people per week, it would be a short season of 5 episodes before the finale since 8 people will still be in that episode.

Dont you mean 6 episodes considering 8 need to be in the finale and since that means 12 must leave, and 2 leave per episode, that would make 6 episodes. Plus the finale, plus the reunion would be 8. It just seems too short.

I hope they make the season longer than that but it probably won't happen. I still can't believe it comes on tomorrow night, the time flew by fast.

There you go, thinking inside that old box again. Maybe you should use new math. Sometime 12 from 20 is not actually 8. Could it be 10? Some people not in the final 8 came home at the same time as the final 8, so...
Unless MTV offers some serious $$$$ for the reunion show, there may not be one. Some people are pissed that MTV is not paying them to post on www.iamonmtv.com, so there is a mini-rebellion in progress.

Okay, I didn't know that one. Hmmm, I have an idea, but it seems to farfetched to make sense.
I think every Challenge should have a reunion, hopefully this one will, because of its new concept it would be interesting to hear the feedback.

Me too. I think that a nice long Challenge would be good but I doubt it with the hour long formats they can have a longer Challenge.

I agree a nice long Challenge would be great. But it won't happen. But at least for right now we have something to look forward to and talk about.

Definitely. And actually the most looked forward to Challenge in a long while. But I guess I can see why, since 1 hr. formats have worked for them, plus it would end around the time they have negotiations for something different, as V1 hinted.
Did anyone watch the dailies today? Tonya says... "I love you Kenny, you're hot." WHAT? I'm confused.
It's called sarcasm. She does not love him and he is not hot...
It's called sarcasm. She does not love him and he is not hot...
She seemed sincere. I think maybe she was just trying to be nice.
OOOOOOOR.. Perhaps there's a love hate relationship there? I'm predicting a new reality romance. Tonya leaves her husband for Kenny. Their babies would be evil. lol

Ooohh, can we please give the girl some credit here?! :wink2:
Im still hoping to hear from Tonya.
Perhaps you don't know that Vision 1 Media Group provides legal and management services to Tonya. If I tell you something from or about her, you can take it to the bank since because of the client confidentiality relationship, she must approve anything I tell you about her.

Oh boo. It wasnt serious.
You have to admit that it probably confuses the pants off of some viewers. Nothing in her voice sounded even remotely sarcastic.
Plus, its' more fun to PRETEND there's something else going on. That's why most of us watch these shows.
And the I'm still hoping to hear from Tonya post was unrelated to the previous. It was just a side note. I am still looking forward to her post. That's all. It wasnt meant to question you.

She will not post her herself. It will likely be in an interview format.
Did you guys see the movie called "Forbidden Fruit" ?? It shows how Abram was attacked by those bees and for me it looks really horribleeeee
I mean, are you sure V1 that it wasn't direct reason of Abram's departure?? Because in this movie, in the background somebody says that "he has got to be allergic"

I'm as sure as I can be without having been there myself. Of course, that is not to say that BMP will not give us an edit that says he went home as a result of the bee stings. I've already warned that such an edit is possible.
wow...I may be getting old but I must say that it is kind of sad that MTV does a survivor style challenge, throw them in a island with almost nothing...AND BOOZE...It seems like these people need to be drunk to make the challenges slightly interesting??? Are they that boring in "real" real life? It may be fun, specially for them hehe but it just gets old, and more so for the 25 and older that are doing their 3rd-4th-5th challenge hehehe I am just saying, not trying to hate, I used to like a lot these shows before :)

MTV is betting its future on the younger market as evidenced by the ******** that is iamonmtv.com. If you are a viewer over 23, you might as well drink strychnine as far as the MTV execs apparently are concerned. They have turned to wooing the teenage market with booze, sex and alternative life styles.
Actually, during the taping of The Island, BMP realized they (and the cast) went too far, so the booze ration was quickly cut back, as we'll see in future episodes and probably in the dailies as well.
Abram doesn't believe in God. hmm..
::SHOCK &AWE:: <---sarcasm
Maybe he should man up and do a tour in Iraq. Lots of believers there...

Are you saying that mtv would think the bee sting edit would be more dramatic then the real reason he left??
Are you saying that mtv would think the bee sting edit would be more dramatic then the real reason he left??
No, but it would give some cover to the actual reason he left, just like BMP created the fiction during G3 that Tyrie's departure was about his GF.
But ... I don't know how the episode will be edited. I'd like to think that we'll see and hear the real reason and we can wish Abe the best as a result.
You may be too new here to recognize that I'm not going to give you a straight answer no matter how you ask. ;)

hahaha... dang it!! But he doesn't just punk out then and has a real reason..and if mtv edits it as the bee stings you will still spill the real reason when he leaves right?? and since the stings have appeared on the dailies and you suggested they might edit him leaving because of them then abram leaves next episode and is the 2nd person off the island (see I did get something out of you.. hahaha:D)
how about this...
will the reason he leaves effect his ability to participate in future challenges?? Or could this possibly be the end of Abram's challenge runs?
