The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Spoiler Discussion

OMG i just read the first post, and I AM SO EXCITED! Not gonna lie, seeing CT and Mark up there is definitely 99.9% of the reason I'm that excited.

I'm excited about the majority of this cast. It's a pretty good mix of old & new people. Of course I could do without some people (Paula & Dunbar, Wes/Mandi). Curious to see how some of the exes will interact-- mainly CT/Diem and Mark/Robin. I think there will be a lot of tension & drama, especially if any new hookups occur. I'm interested to learn exactly what the format is. I don't think it's a partner situation like Rivals, but the exes gameplay is probably somehow intertwined. Otherwise, what's the point? I can't wait to see who the first eliminations are, since that might be a big clue of the format.

So I was thinking this for the format. So there are pairs but the pairs are split up onto two different teams. Example: Team 1: Dunbar, Wes, Vinny, Mark, CT, Cara Maria, Naomi, Heather, Camila, Priscilla Team 2: Paula, Mandi, Sarah, Robin, Diem, Abram, Leroy, Dustin, Johnny, Nate See where I'm going? The pairs are on the opposite teams, and one one loses or gets voted in, then so does their counterpart. So if the winning team votes in one guy and girl from their team then their counter part from the other team goes in as well, the guys face each other and the girl face each other. So lets say Team 2 wins and decides to vote in Abram and Robin, as a result of voting in Abram and Robin, Cara Maria and Mark from Team 1 go in to face Abram Robin. I figure that with the way the cast is its obviously relationship based, and if its not straight up pairs then this is the only thing I can see it being. Unless it really has nothing to do with relationships and its just a coincidence that the cast is the way it is.

I find it funny we think we know who was eliminated already but dont even know the challenge format or the full cast yet, since it seems that most of the information is via social networking, it seems that there are 2 possibilities, the unknown cast members have someone running their social networks or they don't use them.

With pairs, you need stuff that all people can compete in fairly. Since there seems to be a female/female pair, there shouldn't be anything involving men and women wrestling each other or anything like that. Know what that means? More hanging over water missions! -_-

Or there have been some eliminations since Tyrie & Jasmine but they haven't Tweeted or Facebooked yet. The only one who has written anything lately is Emily - but that doesn't prove anything since her account has been pretty active since the beginning (someone must be tweeting for her).

The next challenge is not gonna be a paired challenge of people who have broken up on the shows. A: they won't do a pair challenge back-to-back, because we just saw one, and ratings would plummet, even if it is exes on a team together. B: thats pretty much the same concept as Rivals except its opposite sex pairs.

The only thing that's bugging me about this prospective cast so far is that it will probably continue the Paula/Dunbar saga. I like Paula a lot more when Dunbar isn't there...mostly because I never like Dunbar.

I think Leroy would want to allign with CT over Johnny if he had to chooes a side. I am assuming it will be CT on one side/alliance, and Johnny on the other. Leroy basically said he is the best competitor, and never bought into the whole mob nonsense. He just wants to make it far. Wes i could see being with Johnny to get rid of CT just like Rivals, even though he claims he can run circles around him in a final. For being able to run circles, he sure was worried about getting rid of him :).. No clue which side Mark would choose, he is closer to Derrick, not sure about with Johnny. But he knows what CT can do and has shown awe on the podcasts of CT's power/athletic ability. Just hope it's not everyone vs CT, but that was entertaining how well he did against the ropes the whole time. But it's time he wins! Abe is a complete wildcard. Let's see CT get his first win, that's what my biggest hope is. Sick of hearing about how he can't win it all. I was happy when Peyton Manning got his first, just to stop hearing that too haha.

The Challenge: Love Shack just isn't exciting me yet.

It would be so intresting since people would get mad depending on who you pick. Like, if Dustin and Robin were on the same team, Dustin would get mad if Robin picked Heather for the elimination round.

The last thing MTV would need in light of the Tonya lawsuit would be CT slamming some girl around. If they made special rules for that pair and they won, it would look like a major fix for them or against them if they lost. Its a no win situation, so they only way to avoid it would be in the overall format--the teams will compete by time or in a race or something indirect is the most logical conclusion to me.

Although I'm expecting their names to pop up on the elimination list shortly, I think it would be great to see Tyrie/Jasmine win. That would be the biggest upset in challenge history by far.

Actually, I take that back. If being rude to everyone makes them feel some sort of authority then that's ok. They should just be able to take it back. That's all. As far as the conversation about Wes' partner goes, if Johanna, Kellyanne, or Theresa were an alternate, then I believe that means that if Mandi didn't go at last minute, she would be brought in, so I find it hard to believe Johanna or Kellyanne would play alternate to Mandi. Mandi being an alternate for Johanna or Kellyanne? Yes. Not the other way around. It was most likely Theresa.

I'm already so excited for this season !![/QUOTE] Well besides for the fact that he doesnt hide the fact that he comes back from the challenges, he spilled about Wes/Mandi hooking up, cant remember if it was him or Evan that called CT laurel's "bf", he pretty much said he won the last one by saying CT doenst need to pay him back and kind of gave it away that he beat eliminated CT on rivals, that's just the ones I saw.

Those are just the people speculated to be back. I really want to see another challenge with Wes and CT on the same cast. They make great television when they are in opposition with one another (The Duel and Rivals).

Hmm, I'm curious about the Adam R. & Nany situation too... She seemed pissed off about something on her twitter as well, around the same time Adam tweeted that. Maybe neither of them are going anymore?!

What would happen if someone gets voted in twice? They would've already beaten their "counterpart", the format would be a mess.

I speculate that this challenge could be The battle of the Sexes. Just pure speculation!!! People have to win for their team but at the same time trying to protect whoever they like (or used to like) on the other team. Maybe? I don't know

My cousin who is best friends with Tyrie's sister, told me that he may be up for elimination and It's a pairs challenge. Also, Tyrie is in the best shape of his life and is Tearing up all the competition.

Him coming back and not tweeting and responding to everyone right away, maybe that means he didn't win.

So if in fact Robin and Dustin were voted in, then Robin wouldn't have to choose Heather, by Dustin being voted in, Heather would already be Robin's opponent, and Mark would be Dustin's.

The rest of them seem to rush to fb/twitter as soon as they get back but maybe he doesnt, also maybe him/Diem were delayed by a day or 2 for some reason. Personally i think it is the latter, but you never know. The After shows don't include the entire cast, and The Real World will probably run into, if not through December. They usually film the reunion like two weeks before the finale. Also, i wouldn't be surprised if BMP already knew who were to be on the After shows. Also, i believe Leroy and Mike had someone run their twitters for them while on Rivals, so it wouldn't surprise me if the new RW kids were told to do that.

I don't know, I just don't want to see him anymore. I don't think he's that interesting. I wish some of the kids from NOLA2 would be on the challenges. I've met Sahar before and I feel like she would be nice on the challenges.

But anyway back on topic. Someone stated that Johnny wont have Derrick this time as an ally because he isnt on...is there any proof that Derrick isnt on this season? He hasnt tweeted since yesterday, around the same time everyone else stopped tweeting.

Lover & Others, or Hooked Up, maybe? I am not sure that there is an ex hookup aspect to the lineups though because people like Dustin have no ex component. I am not sure that given the current allegations that adding any sort of jilted woman aspect would be favorable to them (the old demeaning to women thing)

I cant imagine a challenge without TJ at this point, the "season is getting crazy" comment I believe and am not surprised, this challenge is going to be one of the best in a long time.

Wow that's an interesting format to the show. Is it official or just speculation?

This thing isnt sounding like its going to be very physical and no men on men eliminations sounds ******** to me. The best eliminations were guy on guy physical contact and it sucks that we might not be seeing anything like that with this stacked guy's cast. They might as well make it like FM and just do exiles, which might be what their doing but imo that's not as entertaining to watch. Maybe it's not partners but you're somehow tethered to your hookup, I just cant see 2 girls competing with men.
