After the Julie-Jamie fakeout with the editing, I knew Tokyo wasn't going to turn out queer, had to be kids.
I was noticing things during this season that seeemd like the series of events we were seeing wasn't chronological since the second episode, and no I seem to understand why.
I was watching the episode on the swamp with a friend and they'd pointed out that Kelley wasn't there either, and at the time I just went "huh, guess she doesn't do drag or swamps."
The only time I liked Matt this season was when he was doing his white boy moves in the middle of the street.
Also, I couldn't tell if that parade was supposed to look like a random parade in town or if it was supposed to be hella obvious that it was essentially a block party.

Julie didn't bother me in this episode except for when she made Kelley's exit all about her.... which, to be fair, and in hindsight, it pretty much was.
I got emotional when Danny was talking to the group toward the end and teared up
I wanted Tokyo to be the final roommate to leave, but Melissa makes sense, too.
Also, legit question: when they "eave" at the end of the season, do they actually leave? I mean, they have to do the post-production interviews, right? I literally think they said goodbye and drove around hte block.
Overall, good season, imo Season 1 is still the best and probably "realeast" season we've gotten so far. I hope there's a season 4 and that maybe it's the orginal Vegas or *****.
I didn't have a problem with Kelley until the very end. I'm not even mad/annoyed she left...it's how she handled it. Don't pretend you're sad getting into the car as you're ready to drive away. You were happy to leave.

Because Danny Matt and Jamie gave them almost nothing to work with and they couldn't just make it all about Julie and Melissa? Julie and Melissa are great but they're not Heather B and Julie lol

No he didn't. And he didn't talk about his kid. He gave us nothing like 90% of this cast gave us all season long. There was no bomb like Jon Murray said there would be in the finale. It was a huge steaming pile of shit complete with Julie hiding in a tree (WTF). This cast was lame in 2000 and even worse this year. They held back way too much and sorry Miss Julie they only skipped to season 9's cast because they couldn't get any other casts to film a Homecoming. Your cast was nothing special. By far this was the worst of the Homecomings like I knew it would be. Too bad because I fear now that the performance from this cast will get this show canned. I hope I'm wrong.

Then they get weird about sharing details of their lives. Trying to control the whole thing from the beginning came thru with how bad the season ended. Good riddance, this cast can F off.

Good riddance on Kelley she was the worst from day 1. She should have taken Matt with her I can't remember one thing he did all season besides basically still not being ok with the gay lifestyle. Love Melissa and Julie and liked Jamie too.
I will say the best part about these shows it's it's almost like a time capsule seeing the issues they dealt with back then to now and seeing how things have changed in terms of race, sexuality and other things. Julie carried this hard now put her on the challenge.

Probably anything having to do with Peter. Since he had a girlfriend when they met Kelley probably didn't want that getting out there. That has been my main gripe with this cast them being over concerned about how they will come off. I hope for the next season they don't give the cast as much power. This is why we need Miami. People like Flora, Dan, Cynthia and Sarah don't give a damn about anything. The only ones I could see being like the New Orleans cast is Melissa and Joe and we can do without footage of them.

Now that the season has ended.. my thoughts are TOKYO/DAVID is hurting and I don't think he's done the proper work to be able to really handle being back on tv again.. he essentially was celebrated for his song but it was a fine line between are they laughing with you or at you? And i think he thought the laddar and rightfully so.. I never thought he was going to come out as queer or any of that because I don't think he has the range for that. But it's clear he still is recovering from his lack of success in his life. He had a hard just admitting he works at a taco truck/spot in Chicago he probably feels extremely embarr***ed because I know that's a lot of pressure to feel like you have to live up to.
Kelley I don't get you, you did a whole challenge (Battle of the Seasons) and won directly after your time in the real world yet your saying you didn't enjoy the reality tv thing.. yet it's the thing that changed your life. But I guess I get it you are older now..

I really think that this was a bad show of character from you.. you came across as fake and extremely manipulative to the extent that it was dangerous and uncomfortable I would if called your *** out immediately.. but everyone seemed to be scared and trying to give this fake *** narrative the there was healing which there was not.. you represent a huge part society that makes this world so dangerous. With the intense gas lighting and narcissism and baiting it's tragic.

I went back and watched it since it was on P+ and was reminded again of how fake she is (BTW I stopped watching because they took out too much of the original music). She just admitted it this time around. This is why I never vibed with this cast. I felt for the first time on The Real World they were all acting to get camera time.
Also i found it interesting that Julie didn't show her foster/adopted kid in her family recap.. maybe I missed something but hopefully all is well with her family.

Good summary IMO. I completely agree David was ashamed to say he was working at a taco shop. The reality is he shouldn't. He has a job and is providing for himself. Doing HC will greatly help him financially which is awesome.
Julie is Julie fake or real this is her. I think she's fake in real life if she was on the show. Jamie Matt Melissa and even Danny were just who they are.
I'm less bothered by Kelley than most. Her image is her priority and she only did this so Danny would get paid. So maybe she should have left sooner. Maybe it would have been better if she did. I know everyone wanted to include her but maybe they should have just left her alone instead. At the end of the day I think she's happy with her life now and choices on the show.
It was very subdued the whole season with Julie in the background trying to ignite the fire and everyone not really feeding in that much. This could've been three episodes wrapped up but they stretched it for more content. Melissa & surprisingly Jamie were shining points in this HC and I wanna see them back in some place.
overall I'll give the season a C- cause it was alot I feel condensed down however still nothing happened and it would've been cute if it was shorter.
