Most Satisfying/Dissapointing Challenge Winners

What I find interesting is that we never really have suprising/underdog winners in the final. The person you expect to win, almost always wins.  We get suprising eliminations  all the time but never suprsing finals which I find annoying.

THIS POST ONLY IS TALKING UP ABOUT SEASONS UP TO FREE AGENTS. I'D APPRECIATE IT IF YOU DIDN'T HINT SEASON 26 SPOILERS OR EVEN THINK ABOUT THEM IF YOU'RE GONNA RESPOND TO THIS.

Pardon

I put a post about this in the interesting facts thread a long time ago. I think something like 80% of the time the team that was statistically the best during the season winds up winning.  The only exceptions from Battle of the Sexes 1 to now are:

Fresh Meat: Darrell/Aviv win (Evan/Coral win most challenges)

Duel: Wes wins (Evan wins most challenges)

Gauntlet 3: Rookies win (Vets win most challenges)

Duel 2: Evan wins (Landon wins most challenges)

Fresh Meat 2: Landon/Carley win (Kenny/Laurel win most challenges)

Cutthroat: Red wins (Grey wins most challenges)

Free Agents: Laurel wins (Jessica wins most challenges...this one is a little shifty though)

Every other winner has been the winningest player/pair/team on the season. (Or tied in the case of Bananas on Free Agents)

Mind-blown on that one.

Jessica just got luckier, she was just on better teams nothing really to do with her.

I'll start off by saying one of my favorite finals was the BOTSexes 1. I felt TERRIBLE for Ruthie (who dominated), Lori & Melissa who could have possibly won (not a definite) against Mark, Jamie & Colin after the boys "copied" their puzzle to advance. I don't have an opinion on whether this was good or bad, I liked both teams, but it was an exciting final to me.

I'm not saying you're saying this, but I watched Sexes 2 before I watched Sexes 1 and in the pre show special of Sexes 2 all of the girls were talking about how they got screwed on this first one because the boys copied their puzzle. I figured this meant that at the very end of the Final on a puzzle the guys copied the girls and barely won. This was not the case. After the puzzle there was a whole course where I think they had to carry and walk across planks and there was some rope or nets involved too. Anyway, the girls were extremely slow at the course and basically couldn't do it which is why they lost. Even if the guys hadn't been able to copy the puzzle they would have eventually gotten it and still smoked the girls on the course before the finish. The girls in the Final or anyone else who says their puzzle getting copied determined it is using an excuse and a poor one at that. A minute or two extra on the puzzle would not have changed how the course at the end went.

I'm sorry Champy but no, they copied their puzzle. and the use of the quotation marks for that one guy is unneeded because they did in fact do it. But yeah.

I never said that the guys didn't copy the girls puzzle on Sexes 1. I said that they did copy the puzzle but that isn't why they won, because after the puzzle they had to complete a course where they had to carry planks on to beams and lay the planks down to walk from beam to beam. The girls didn't have the upper body strength and were extremely slow at getting across. The guys finished like 20-30 min before the girls. If they had not been able to copy the puzzle as they did I still feel like they would have smoked the girls on the next course and still won.

That was such a bad group of girls athletically. Paula and Susie are my two favorite girls on the shows but when Paula is your best athlete? Especially back then when she weighed about 20 pounds? No good.

Yeah. It's not surprsing that they lost. Bad ***** were the stronger team.

I think Paula was pretty good back then actually. Her decline began around Duel 2.

I say she was decent. She had some ability but not a whole lot.

Decline? She's gotten much better athletically since then.

Can't say the same for her personality.

Agreed. She's probably the best girl endurance wise on any recent shows...maybe tied with Diem. She was fine on Inferno 3...definitely the best girl on her team as an athlete, but she was a distanct 3rd best female athlete there behind Tonya who was waaaaaaay behind Evelyn.

Her paranoia and stupidity come on after the island, then she was good again on Rivals

As for my take on the whole Tori vs. Jillian debate Jillian is my favorite girl from the Challenges so I <3 her. If you look at them from a pure competitve stand point and take out their attitudes/behavior I think Tori is a little better than Jill but only slightly. Once you take into account how Tori acts and the fact that she is a complete non-team player I think you have to go with Jill. Tori has literally threatened to quit on every Challenge she was on not to mention has threatened to throw missons if she didn't get her way. Jill is no drama and tries her hardest regardless.

Edit: Except when Jill doesn't feel physically safe like on FM2 she was afraid Pete would fall on top of her on the punching bag hanging misson. I can understand if you feel like you're going to be injured not wanting to go.

I would take Jillian over Tori any day of the week!

can someone put up the daily of the challenge on episode 6 of cutthroat.. i think it was called sky hook

The most disappointing winner in Challenge history IMO is Rachel from RW: Austin. She was terrible on The Gauntlet 3 and had the nerve to talk smack about Frank and Jillian when they were the best competitors on the Rookies team. Rachel performed terrible in the challenges and should thank her lucky stars that the Rookies allowed her to stay due to the lame *** Austin alliance.

Who?

Rachel, the girl who had a dramatic meltdown after losing to Jenn in The Inferno 3. She only did two challenges.

Sarah was the most satisfying in recent years.

Most Satisfying: Sarah (Gauntlet), Katie (Inferno), Susie (The Ruins), Landon/Carley (FM2), Sarah (Exes2).

Dissapointing: Tori/Brad(Cutthroat),Johnny (Rivals), Evan (The Duel), Emily/Paula (Rivals 2),

how about the most satisfying elimination win? to this day i looooooveeeeee watching bananas beat jordan at wrecking wall.

I'd say the most satisfying elimination win was Sarah beating Irulan in Dead Man's Drop. That was Sarah's fifth elimination win on The Gauntlet and it was great seeing her fight so hard to stay.

Seeing Leroy & Nia beat Banany in a devastating fashion.... and then Leroy & Theresa beating Banany right before the final lol.

I wanted Wes to lose to Leroy, but it was complete bullshit that they didn't tell them someone would be returning so Bananas did not belong anywhere near the final of Exes 2.

Lol I know who she is, I was just emphasizing on how irrelevant she is. I literally don't remember a single memorable moment of hers.

Most satisfying: CT/Wes (Rivals II), Landon (Fresh Meat II), Wes (The Duel)

Least Satisfying: Red Team (Cutthroat), Team San Diego (Seasons), Johnny & Camila (Exes)

I was happy to see Jordan & Sarah win on Exes II, but I really wanted to see Theresa win a challenge. So it was satisfying to see new people win. Exes II was the only challenge where I would have been happy regardless of who won.

This was the case for me too. Since there was going to be new winners regardless of who won I was gonna be happy .

Yeah I agree with that but I would have been happy if Theresa & Wes won even though Wes has won twice, I just wanted to see Theresa win because she was the best female on that challenge and she is my favorite female on the challenges.

Least satisfying

  • red team
  • johnny and camilla even though I love Camilla
  • Red boat from the island
  • team San diego
  • men from sexes 1
  • paulas wins from both rivals
  • all of bananas wins
  • wes duel 1

most satisfying

  • Wes and Ct
  • Landon and Carley
  • Good guys inferno 2
  • Darrell and aviv
  • Road rules on inferno

I ******* love Jonna and Jasmine beating Sarah and Katelynn on Rivals (and I'm a Sarah fan).  Everything about it is so perfect, especially when Sarah says she can beat Jonna in anything and then she feels even more confident when she sees it's a puzzle.

YES. I forgot about that one! Sarah was so annoying and cocky during that elimination round, you're right. It was sooooooo satisfying
