It as very tasteful and I thinnk it perfectly encapsuled who Diem was. What the cast had to say about her was so beautiful. Good job, MTV. Thanks for not being a complete **** up this time around
Seeing Diem in the PM really makes me want to go dance it up in honor of her. So carefree and beautiful! Absolute perfection. Forever rocking my DiemStrong bracelet!!
I thought that was lovely though I obviously could have watched a full hour. It's interesting that we were all debating what the cast could have been doing in NYC before she died on November 14th because I noticed that every single person referred to her and their relationship with her in the present tense. It must have been something they were planning on before she even passed away.
So beautiful for Cara Maria to really walk the walk and put so much time and energy into Diem's cause by making and selling those bracelets. That's how you step up.
I'm really excited to see how Diem and CT's relationship status is portrayed on Exes II. Seeing a little sneak peek of one of the challenges was great. I think it's going to be a rude awakening, when the series begins and we get comfortable seeing her smiling face and her fighting spirit over the first couple of episodes, to realize that's all she wrote, and you know, never again... it's heartbreaking, not just in Challenge context, but obviously more so in actual life.
After watching the Diem special, was anyone else shocked by how strong and healthy she looked in the clips from the upcoming challenge? She looked especially fierce in the mission where she had to pull CT along while she tightroped her way between the buildings. Since she had to have been medically cleared to be on this challenge and she looked so healthy in those clips, that hideous cancer must have hit really hard and fast. After hearing about her collapse on the challenge, I really expected her to look kind of weak. Cancer sucks.
A big thank you to everyone who took part in the tribute. They did a great job in showing the aspects of Diem that we'll all remember, especially her Duel wig-removing moment and all of her dancing and hair whips!! I like to think she would have greatly approved of this send-off by her challenge friends.

Cancer can spread fast. She was definitely in great shape when she arrived. None of us will likely ever know how bad it was when she left or even if she knew. She went on another adventure though. Can't fault her

I don't fault her either. I was just stunned by how she could look and act so healthy one minute but then be medically evacuated the next. If I hadn't known about her situation and just happened to tune in to that special, I never would have guessed that she'd ever been sick, much less that she was just 3 short months away from losing her life. It's shocking that cancer can hit someone and spread that quickly.
I loved this specialy. t times yes, Diem was annoying but she was sexy. I loved that casting tape from 2005. Never seen that in a while...(I blame the nuYoutube for that because they deleted full episodes or clips of a lot of shit circa google buyout or rather 2006-2008-ish) Damn Imma miss her.
And mtv doesn't know when their shiut aired? Duel was from october 2006-january/feb 2007) Also the music during the Exes 1 clip sounded Hill-ish.
Man Aneesa tearing up at the end really got me. Diem truly was loved and she gave love as well.
Just wanted to point out no flaming but how many people on this earth you know that aren't loved or don't "give love" And yeah Aneesa always gets me when she cries. I hated how she flipped off Laurel on FA though as that was way way way OOC.

nOT REALLY, jUDD SAID IT BEST when he said people that are sick have a revolving door when it comes to their health. one minute they are feeling good then they next they are sick etc etc.

Oh many people are loved and many give love and Diem was one of those people and it definetly showed.

According to articles released after her passing, Diem found out she had cancer in July, prior to them leaving. So she knew about it.
The special and Davis' song are now also trending on FB. Amazing the power that she had over so many she would never know. It gives me chills, and reminds me that sometimes just being good - is enough. Especially in this age of Kardashian and Pump Rules .... it's so nice that a person with good honest spirit is still heroic.
There has been some attacking and jumping down eachothers throats taking place lately. We need to all remember that everyone is entitled to their opinion but also to repect other peoples opinions. There are times people don't agree with things I say and there wording annoys me, but instead of snapping back at them I respect that they don't need to agree with me. I also read posts all the time in this thread and other threads that I totally disagree with but instead of driving my point home, I respect that others have different opinions then mine. This world would be very boring and cultish if everyone had the same opinions and beliefs about everything. I do ask that before you post in this particular thread, that you think about the purpose of this thread and who it is honoring. There are a lot of fans grieving the loss of Diem and this thread has been an outlet to help them. Yes, it steers off path sometimes but the right intentions are there. When you think of Diem and what she stood for it makes me cringe when I see swearing and agression towards other members in here. No one is required to post in this thread nor is everyone required to be a fan of Diem's but I ask that you show some respect if you choose to post in here. On that note, here are my thoughts on the special.
- TJ was a nice and unexpected surprise. I guess I didn't really think there would be a host but TJ was the perfect choice
- I really enjoyed seeing the clips of Diem's original audition tape
- The wig removal/first kiss is so repetitive but they were pretty iconic moments.
- I thought everyone spoke really well and were sincere. I wish Johnny would have been a little more from the heart at times in his tone and wording and not so much in Challenge Bananas mode. Wes - broke my heart everytime I looked at his eyes.
- I didn't really need to see a CT/Diem fighting clip in the Diem the Lover section but thought the rest of it was good.
- Diem in the PM was pretty funny. Enjoyed them talking about all the costume attire she packs.
- When Johnny said that her most impressive Challenge (I don't remeber the exact wording) and he said BOTE and then they went to a clip of the wedding mission. That was kinda lame when they just talked about the wedding challenge in Diem in PM. I think a clip of her going up the mountain in Iceland or jumping into the freezing lake would have been more appropriate. She kicked *** in that final.
- Loved the two clips from BOTE2. Super excited to see that entire first mission!
- The last 5 min for me were the toughest to watch. It was sad. Very glad they talked about MedGift and also had Aneesa describe what Med Gift was and they talked about why Diem goes on the Challenges.
Overall I was very pleased with the special. It was more then I expected. I teared up, laughed and smiled. Diem's life was more then just the Challenge but that was a good special to reflect that part of her life and also tie in what is most important to her - MedGift.
Karisa502 -- I agree with your comments. I was really happy to see TJ host it as well, that was perfect. Excited to see BOTE2 but I know it will be so sad at the same time. Yes, Wes and Aneesa looked so sad. I didn't realize she was close with Cara Maria and I loved hearing how Diem took her under her wing and I really loved when she said, every girl wants to tame the bad boy but when it came to CT, that wasn't needed because he just looked at her and fell for her. My heart breaks for CT, especially seeing them in BOTE2. Ugh, this is so damn sad!!! Rest in Peace Sweet Diem. You are missed and loved by so many.

I loved the special, was hoping they would have more people commenting like Derrick and other vets we haven't seen in awhile. I realize it was a timing thing, but good job! They captured her spirit, deff could have watched an hr though

It as very tasteful and I thinnk it perfectly encapsuled who Diem was. What the cast had to say about her was so beautiful. Good job, MTV. Thanks for not being a complete **** up this time around
Seeing Aneesa get upset at the end got to me. I really wish it would have been longer!
I thought it was quite well done and my eyes are still leaking

Let's keep the discussion about Diem and what a great human being she was.

Damn didn't know this was airing tonight. Anyone know if there will be a rerun soon?
According to MTV's schedule, there should be a rerun at 12/11c
Midnight tonight is the last scheduled viewing I see
On point. All unpublished. Take it to PM's
#ModPower.
I thought the show was great but wished it was longer. I just love seeing her in all th challenges. Diems spirit will live on forever.
And I just saw these posts.....I'll try to catch it on mtv.com eventually.

Ugh ! My DVR didn't record it, does anyone know where it can be replayed ? I've seen all the tweets and it sounds like it was a wonderful tribute.
The special is up on the MTV website now!
