This thread is supposed to be about Diem and I will leave it at that, keep the focus on her and ignore the rest. I continue to pray for her and hope she feels better.
I continue to be floored by her humor and attitude in light of all she continues to go through. Here's a few instagram pics of her (from her friend who supplied insta pics to the recent Hollywoodlife article on Diem) on how she's doing ....
Diem gave People another interview, talking about how much pain she's in. She is such a fighter, but every interview she gives just sounds more and more sad.
She's such an inspiration and I am awed by her positivity and grace. I just hope she can resume chemo soon.
Her arms looked so thin in some recent pictures of her. Hate seeing her like this. Hopefully the positivity and determination help a turnaround happen.
The silver lining is that the medical marijuana is working to relieve her pain and starting to get a little weight on her. Let's hope we hear better news soon.
This is terribly heartbreaking! So now she has a colostomy bag and a catheter I am so saddened by her condition. No matter how haed she fights, she gets hit with another obstacle and I'm just waiting for the girl to catch a break. I just want to read something positive about her for once. Some good news....
I pray she makes it through and that these situations are just temporary.
I worry about her family and CT. Hope he is doing ok.
Please take a moment to say a prayer for Diem, even if you are not a believer. Diem now, more than ever, needs healing grace. Please pray for her continued strength of spirit to overcome her body's betrayal.
Her sister Faith just posted that Diem is going in to her last surgery. She posted a picture with D's other sister and Dad. Hopefully this will fix the pain once and for all.

Haven't heard anything for a week now. Does anyone know how she is doing?
Well they say no news is good news but....Im begining to be a little concerned as well.She has been through a lot though so my guess is she is just resting and trying to recuperate. I have my fingers crossed that the next news we hear is good news.

I've been extremely worried about Diem with the lack of updates lately, hopefully there's some good news in this next one. I did get my bracelet from CM today though <3
Maybe she/her family/friends or doctors decided it would be better for her health or her progress if she stays in the background a little bit and concentrate on getting better.
I am hopeful that since we are still seeing posts from her family doing their usual things that she must be doing all right. I tend to believe that they would not be going to homecoming games together if she were in imminent danger. Same for her friends - they are a close bunch. For me, I believe intercessory prayer is a powerful thing so for those who are believers please don't give up on her.
Ordered another couple of bracelets from Cara Maria as stocking stuffers for my neices as I can't bear feeling inept and there is so little that we can do beyond pray & be positive. So I will just carry on with that I miss her lighting up the internet!

She's been through an incredible amount of trauma in the past two + months, from her collapse to the first surgery to remove tumors in her colon to the second surgery to correct the sepsis that started after the first surgery AND a hysterectomy AND a colostomy, to the stents, to the stent removal AND a nephrotomy...Holy Moly Batman, no wonder she's in pain and losing weight. Any one of those would have benched any one of us for a while, let alone all of that. I'm hoping there is a way to get her some kind of tx to hold off tumor growth while helping her gain weight back w/liquid nutrition and medical marjuana.

My gosh, when you list it all out like that it's like woah....crazy to think about! I'm sure Diem can't even sit down and process all of that right now. She just has had to go from one procedure to the next according to what the doctors have told her needs to be done and not a lot of time to analyze it because everything has been an emergency response.
Hopefully our sweet angel will make it through everything and once she does and has been in remission for a little while (I'm having faith this will happen), then it might all hit her just how much has happened and she might just have a good long cry in a good way....like I made it through, cathartic release. Just to think though, she still has a much longer journey to go from here.
Well here's what I'm hoping, we know she has many months of chemo to go and the HIPEC surgery as well as any additional surgeries that may be required for reasons we don't know about now...but let's just hope anything else she has to have done surgery wise are things the doctors anticipated and not too many things that come as a surprise. Me too but I'm glad she's focusing on her health first and foremost and I know you are too! I still haven't gotten a bracelet yet. I need to do that. I'm sure your nieces will love them.
