you know the final was tragic when Team USA got a 10 minute penalty that they ended up not even counting because the first day was basically all for nothing

Team USA can't complain when they had about an hours worth of penalties and only had to start day 2 5 minutes behind

Yeah they got embarrassed and had no business even having a chance.

I'm more anooyed to because for years I have been wanting big teams to be back, I am so tired of the duo set up but I'm disappointed in how they did this.

With big teams I want to see teams compeating against one another. I want to see leaders being born and big moves being mad.e I want the teams to go head to head in several chalelnges, where was our Derrick riot shield moment this season? Or even that crazy corn maze thing where both teams had to go through and you could really see who was elite and who was a scrub? Throw in some more phyiscal competitions, throw in some more comps that reward craft players. Its fun to see people get beat in real time and not just some timed event.

I also want to see a team have to be a team in a final and really work together to get stuff done. There should be some reward for people who can actually set their egos aside to work with others and there should be an award for a team that has won kost of the challenges.

Look back to Cutthroat or the Gauntlet II. That's what I want to see as far as dalies. Lets get some more straight up team on team action and lets put some people in positions to be leaders and watch them flop or succeed.

Best outcome possible, cant wait for the reunion.

Cara and Paulie deserved to lose, same with Leroy who made a sheep game once again. The first 2 were delusional throughtout the whole season and then saying that they can still win after day 1 had me dying lmao.

The purge was bs.

Kam can say whatever she want but they lost fair and square and team US shot themselves on the foot. They were only dominant for the whole season because Rogan/Joss were playing scared and were pretty much sabotaging their teams ever since they got on Paulie's alliance. (serves you right Joss)

Cara and Ninja were so useless in this final that it was criminal that they didn't get purged.

Zach wasn't trying 100% and CT had the best showing.

That bed in the snakepit was wild af.

Agree with this. I was waiting for a big team challenge for a long time and I think that overall the season "flopped" but was filled with karma. However, it was super one sided and felt like the Ruins all over. It sucks because the Brits (Rogan's alliance) didn't clearly care about team UK.

This was Jordan’s season

not only did he have the best two eliminations, he also switched over and made a power move... he didn’t have the numbers but still won.

He made this season entertaining and you can tell the other team were triggered

Agree with this so much, seeing Abe who was the quiet crazy guy be the unquestioned leader of his team on cutthroat was awesome. And then on Invasion you had all these new kids and Nelson stepped up as their leader on his second season. That just didn't happen since it was all politics this season, and I'm not sure it ever can happen again with people being so worried about "what if we send so and so in and next season they come after me" so everyone just goes with safe numbers. Random teams like cutthroat is probably the only scenario that doesn't happen, and there can't be any sending in people from other teams since it just creates a big mob alliance like this season.

I understand hype,  I understand selling, I understand hyperbole.

But this was *Not* the toughest final ever. Not even close.

Final day 1 created a lot of dramatic tension. That was not carried over to day 2. At all.

This final closesly parallells the  Bloodlines final - Day one was interesting and dramatic, Day 2 was a letdown & blah.

I wonder if they had a tougher day 2 planned, but scrapped that  because wanted to play up the "Jordan versus Paulie" narrative, so did everything they could to give Paulie an easy day 2 w/  at least a chance to finish or possibly win.

what u have for breakfast this morning? delusion?

There is no Jordan Vs. Paulie comparison lol Paulie wishes he could be Jordan so bad just come on whenever he feels like it and get a win and put him further up in the GOAT discussion. Paulie's pretty damn good at this game but it's meaningless if you can't close the season with a win

Have to say seeing Cara cry at the end was the highlight of the season.

And goodnight to this season. it was funny to see Kam/Leroy/Ashley stuck on the beach...watching the weaker side of the people they protected swim to lose the money.

Nany & Laurel were this season for me. I was hoping Tori and Jordan would have won together and Rogan would have been stumped by the puzzle. I also don't get why they did a purge in the end...UK still would have won, if just seemed unnessary. Oh well, reunion next week and then we can pack this one up for good.

edit/additional comment: ha! Seeing Paulie like that in the final: a lovely mix of schadenfreude & karma

He really isn't that good yet. You give him way to much credit. Paulie has only been on 3 seasons & this is the 1st time he had a lot of the power for the whole season. Like someone else said Paulie had all the weak minded & the players struggling physical on his side to form Caras Cult. Not to mention if Wes didn't go out early he would have been leading this group

The only weak minded person in Paulies alliance is Cara but ok go off

Aren't almost all two day finals set up like this? Grueling Day 1 and Day 2 is usually much shorter. Day 2 for this season seemed longer than Rivals and Exes.

If the producers decide to have another team challenge they need to do random team that way it prevents people to align like they did on this season it avoids a big alliance to dominate the entire time.

Side note, CT gave me anxiety when he popped that cork....

Lol i haven't been near one since what happened to Theo

omg same

Reminded me more of the Vendettas finals tbh but slightly more difficult in Part 2.

This wasn't even the hardest final in the war of the worlds saga let alone challenge history lol

This was still a pretty hard final I don’t get why there’s any complaint about that. All the comments on the WOTW final were saying it was so over the top and too hard. This one was still really hard (14 miles with weight is no breeze just for day 1). I thought the final was well done except for the purge and the restart of Day 2’s times.

People saying this final wasnt hard as if they walk 16 miles in the sun on the regular with weight attached .. lol alright

I think they mean because TJ kept having a "hardest final in challenge history" voice over.

I don't think anyone's saying it's not hard. Just that it wasn't the hardest ever like they hyped.

I mean according to Jordan and Tori the final "started "way earlier where they had to sleep in a jungle and spend 10+ hours in the jungle and got nothing to eat.

and then didn’t even show it. Is production really that stupid? I mean I’m all for hard finals but at least feed them

Wait, this was before the 16 mile race?

They did look rough when TJ was explaining the rules..

People will always find ways to link up even if they are on different teams just like this season.

Unfortunatelly the mob mentality will never go away and will always be enhanced in big team challenges because people know there is a higher percentage of getting to the end if you stick with a certain group. The closest we got from teams vs teams was cutthroat and even then we had Red team playing the mob mentality game and throwing the same person over and over again.

part of the fun is watching alliances be formed and crumble, it's gonna happen with whatever format.

if you want to take out any social element, you just put the weakest competitors of the day go head to head in elimination with each other with no voitng and nothing.

Oh hell no! Why did Zach yell at Kam but not Paulie?! That pissed me the hell off!
