The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines Discussion (SPOILERS)

You don't have to be tall, big, or strong to be a good competitor. I'm 5"4, 124 pounds, lean, and have small muscle tone and I am a great athlete and am really good at sports and doing random competitive type things that they would do on the challenge. (Not that I've ver done their types of missions). I can carry weight, swim, run, hold my body weight, etc. I've never driven stick or jumped from truck to truck though. However, I can see myself hanging with the best in these types of challenges (maybe like a Jordan or someone around there). The only times where I would be at a disadvantage is in missions or eliminations where height, size and bulk matter. For example, if I went up against pretty much anyone in Hall Brawl or X-Battle their weight I'd be done. The other persons weight alone would have me on the floor. Same goes for the mission Don't Forget About me. I could do the puzzle, and run back and forth up the mountain (not easily but I'd be able to push myself) but there's no way I would be able to easily pull the 300 pounds if at all. Whereas it's like lifting a pencil for Zach. But for the most part, a person's size doesn't really have that much of an effect on the way they compete. So I see no reason why Cohutta wouldn't be able to make it to the final unless he had a physical elimination against someone bigger, which he still even has a chance to win (CJ vs Zach).

You're legit 5'4? Lol that's my height!

Yea haha. I'm short for a 21 year old male. It sucks but wouldn't stop being from killing it on the challenge haha

I freaking LOVE how CM just came out of nowhere lmao like people didn't even think she had gotten an availability call and I had resigned myself to yet another sad Cara-less season and now I literally just could not be more thrilled with the cast omg. Kellyanne AND Cara AND Camila I feel so spoiled right now  <3 <3 <3 Wish the guy's side were a little more vet-heavy but I'll take it

*****, I really hate being short... Anything up high on a shelf is a pain. I have to constantly ask all the tall people to reach stuff for me! Cray 2

I don't think cohutta is the best competitor there, but I also don't think he's the worst. I just could see him possibly doing well In a final. My opinion

Of the alumni...we know Leroy & Bananas are better than Cohutta.  It is safe to assume Cory is or at least he should be.  So, best case he's middle of the pack.  Best case.

Now unfortunately Cohutta did The Island so we really only have 2 opportunities to judge his performance.  Neither time did he do anything memorable other than the two elimination wins discussed earlier--which are both easily explained and far from impressive.

Yeah I really don't undestand the Cohutta hype on here either. He really hasn't done anything that impressive. For all we know Dario will probably also be a better competitor than him.

At first when I saw the casting spoilers, I thought to myself - What in the actual **** is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But the more and more I think about it, this fresh cast may be promising. I watch The Challenge because I get to see my favorites compete year after year. But as of late BOLD game moves are rare because the alums are so comfortable with each other and won't play a cutthroat game. And maybe, just maybe with so many new players and personalities things will get interesting again. Plus, the family thing takes it up a notch.

Side note: Highly annoyed RW'ers are getting looked over for AYTO kids. Don't want to accept it. As long as they keep it at a minimum, I guess......

Why is people so sure Leroy will side with Nany and Camila when him and cara maria are close too. Nany has thrown him under the bus twice. Him and camila aint never had to work together.

Because Leroy is with Bananas and Bananas is with Nany and Camila.

Lets look'at the for sure alliances. Nany Camila and Bananas. Leroy Cara Maria and Aneesa. Kellyanne and Cohutto. I feel that vets will work together then star stabbing each other in back

He made it across the spinning log fasten than any guy.

Nany is cool with Jenna. Leroy is cool with Cara and Aneesa. I think when it come to the veteran girls nany and camila will be targeted before aneesa and cara.

Cohutta is a good competitor IMO. He did the forth best on free agents after CT Zach and Bananas in missions
I agree. Cohutta has never been a bad competitor and I think he has what it takes to win. The only thing with him is his size.

Exactly! I mean he took out Syrus and Wes. That was the first time Wes ever lost.. #TeamCohutta

Veronica explained why he beat Wes perfectly and Syrus, well past his prime, destroyed Cohutta on the log--he just fumbled the key.  He even got the best possible chance to beat Darrell.  This is what we mean when we say he's overrated.  He's solid--a good guy to have on a big team--not a great competitor.

I think he is a great competitor but his size will always hurt him so he will always be screwed.

You're letting your personal feeling about him impact how you see him.  He's not a good athlete.  Great competitor is laughable

Not really. He has always proven to be a good competitor. He has done well every season he has been on.

I can separate my personal opinions of people vs them as competitors.

Yeah, no love between Nany and Leroy. LOL

Nany/Leroy are like family. The Vegas cast is close. Leroy won't **** her over.

You sure about that? She has twice. Rivals 2 she did by mistake. Battle of the exes 2 behind his back.'

Yeah Rivals 2 was a mistake. I never understood why Theresa got all the heat for that when Nany did it as well but she didn't do it purposely but her and Leroy are still very close to this day and Leroy will work with her over Caramaria. Leroy has never even worked with Caramaria before.

We really just gone have to wait to see the format cause you never know how the alliances will be

limit the boundaries of someone 'bigger', cuz he got smashed by Roylee.

Exactly, and I know Leroy and Cara used to be tight, but I don't know about now.  Shes always said Brandon and Leroy are her favorite guys from the show and that she wouldn't go against them.  So it'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out....

This. Cohutta did well on the missions on FA before running into a brick wall named Leroy in an elimination he had no chance in. I agree to an extent with the bold, but more often than not, those size limits will eventually catch up to you. Especially in today's challenge world where the eliminations are less and less goofy shit and more and more physical head to head competitions.

I love Cohutta but there was no way in hell he was beating CT/Zach/Leroy/Bananas in ANY of the FA eliminations due to size and power alone.

Folks have complained for years that they want to see more head to head banging in eliminations.  That's the one area where MTV has seemed like they listened....

Good. I'll take Hall Brawl before Don't Toss your Cookies any day. May not be entirely fair to the Cohutta's of the world but it's certainly more entertaining.

I'd rather see a wide diverse range of eliminations. Not just physical banging all the time. That gets old as hell. Besides not all physical missions and eliminations are good anyways.

I'm tired of Hall Brawl.

The male competitors Kenny, Johnny, CT, Leroy have said it on podcast many times.  Johnny has said he pleaded with Booth to give them more physical eliminations, and I think he got his wish more than anyone....
