With the cast we were given, yes. She's definitely not not on any fantasy list but when the cast in quarantine is mostly dull, out of shape, and not true OGs she is needed.
They can be out shaped but most will perform better than Casey that isn't either in the same shape that she was when she did this shows
Mark originally stated that he wanted this to be a 2 week thing that wasn't as serious as the current show. Mainly because who wants to see people in ther 40's and 50's try to do what the younger cast is currently doing (flying drones aside...) and becuase no one can take 2 months out of their current schedules to film. I'd have to imagine becuase they are filming in Argentina, and that TJ is involved, this isn't going to be a 2 week filming experience. Maybe not 2 months, but longer than originally planned. Add the 10-day quarantine to the time frame and that cut out a ton of OG's that we would have liked to have seen on here.
I bet BMP isn't shelling out a ton for appearance fees for an experimental show, this eliminates people like Landon. And the fact that the stay is going to be longer than originally pitched eliminates people like Rachel, Coral, Timmy etc...
If this is a success, maybe you'll see some of those people in the future. In the meantime, while Mark did get all of our hopes up with some of those tweeted text exchanges, I think we should be satisfied overall with this cast. Alton, Teck, Ruthie, Kendall, Yes, Jisela, Katie, Ace, Syrus, Laterrian...that's all very solid. And even though Derrick, Aneesa and Darell have been on shows lately, they are techinically OG (which I consider to be anything pre-Fresh Meat at this point).
I'm just excited to see the format. I bet the daily's are something like Duel 1. Not exactly Simon Says (BOTS1) or Musical Rings in a pool (Battle of the Seasons 1). Activities that require skill, but that 40 year olds can still pull off while not running mini-finals like the current season.

The champs vs pros/star season 1 started with only 2.5 weeks then season 3 was 3 weeks and season 3 was exactly one month. The first season was to complicated and intense to film in such a short period hence they added weeks as they did more seasons.

A lot of them had those privileges during the champs vs pros/stars spinoff and they still declined.

1. When does filming start for OG season and when do you think we'll get a final cast?
2. How does this effect timing of main series? Any sense when filming starts for that? I imagine Aneesa and Darrell would not agree to this if that means they're off the main series (uncertain whether Darrell would be asked back, but hard pressed to see Aneesa not asked back).
So if it's mercenaries it will just be for eliminations right. That'd be a cool way to bring in Miz or Coral

For me this is simply deductive reasoning. If the OG challenge and the next regular challenge were very close to overlapping, it would make sense for BMP to fly in early two or four cast members from the next challenge. Since the schedule has changed a bit, and the Biden Administration (Dr Fauci) is telling Americans not to travel, it makes good business sense for Production to punt on bringing in "mercenaries," assuming that was ever the plan.
. Then again in less than 24 hours things can change. BMP has often not followed my logic.
I'd take Landon, I don't care if Ev comes back or not. I'd prefer someone like Tina, Julie, or Rachel if that ends up happening. But that just personal preference lol

And when did they start quarantine? Jan 22nd? So that's almost a month. Not a timeframe a lot of OG's could commit to.
