For me this is simply deductive reasoning. If the OG challenge and the next regular challenge were very close to overlapping, it would make sense for BMP to fly in early two or four cast members from the next challenge. Since the schedule has changed a bit, and the Biden Administration (Dr Fauci) is telling Americans not to travel, it makes good business sense for Production to punt on bringing in "mercenaries," assuming that was ever the plan.

It isn't "elitism". There's nothing wrong with not knowing some of these people. But that shouldn't matter considering we have that with every season especially now with random people showing up. There should be a name or two on the list that makes everyone happy. The majority of the cast we haven't seen in about a decade so there has to be someone that makes this exciting for you or then you aren't who they are targeting. They even have Aneesa and Darrell for the casuals. For some just Beth or Katie is more than enough to be excited about.
