I pick 9th I can definately work with that especially with the snake format.
I was 10 last year and liked it because I had 4 minutes to make two picks. The "super studs" are going to go in the first 5, and then there is the rest of the draft, no matter where you are positioned.
Feel free to PM me your choice ... chances are it is not my first choice
Feel free to PM me your choice ... chances are it is not my first choice
We'll talk about it after the fact. I'm hoping he'll be around at 7.
Of course you exclaim in excitement that you got him with your pick we'll know too.

I'm ready for tomorrow. I'm excited for this draft. My internet connection at home is on the fritz. I'll be at work just to do this. :) My 1 list has turned into 4. I'm making sure I'm prepared. That means I'm probably going to bomb. ****.
I pick 2nd initially and then 9th on the back end. I've done about 12 different mock drafts but only 3 with my picking from my position for tomorrow. We'll see how it goes and if it turns out for the most part like the ones I did today then I'll be fine with it.

Im an idiot. I was looking at the alphabetical list when I thought I was 3rd! ****. I'm dead last. Go me.
Enter the draft room and it should tell you along the top what you position is. Some of pics for their icon and others don't. You'll have to hover your mouse over each one to see who is who but yours should be marked by an off-yellow bar underneath your location.
Can't wait for the draft to start...I'm 6th but its all good ;).
Much of my initial mocks were done picking through 4-7
It is time!

Ok. I think I have a solid enough team. :)
I got what I wanted. The best infield (IMHO) in the league and a value OF and pitching squad, topped with the best closer in the league, a starter as a closer and a couple sleepers. :D
I'll give you a run for your money... and I do mean RUN. I've got one of the fastest teams and an arsenal of great pitching including 2 of the top 4 closers. My IF and OF are very fast. It just goes along with my theory that contact ball and baserunners is better than HRs everyday. I'm having fun looking at the features of our league like The Preview. I think I will be challenging Bacchus quite well.
I think I will be challenging Bacchus quite well.
What...I'm the favorite? I thought you were the favorite and I the underdog? I'm going to give Desertpuma a run for his money! :wink2:
I think my team is pretty solid. I really like my pitching staff. But time will tell, its a very long season.
This season is very long I hope every got who they wanted. I'm actually glad I messed up on the time difference and didn't make some of the decisions as i was thinking of drafting Adrian Gonzalez fairly early. Surprised how far Mauer fell though.

I need BJ Upton to prove last year was a fluke.

Having just looked at the breakdown Preview of the 1st week's games. I gotta say Bacchus' RP, SS, and C will do the winning for him if you believe what it says there.

Ichiro also has 9 Gold Gloves which don't directly appear but what does is the shutdowns as a defensive player. Plus he is a contact hitter more than a homerun hitter. I do have Carl Crawford and Hanley Ramirez as well. The advantage of speed is it also creates more runs & RBIs.

I also was hoping to get your SS at 7, but that was also a dream. Still, I was happy with Utley at 7. I went against my strategy of last year in focusing on hitting as I believe there will be value on the Waiver Wire in the coming weeks with pitching. There are always breakouts, but you are not going to find a breakout catcher that batted .365 with 28 HR in 138 games. It should be a fun season. What I like about fantasy baseball vs. football is there are games every day and you can adjust to trends. Also, I was happy to see a good turnout for the draft. Edit: As for my SS, I wanted Kemp and didn't realize he was gone (as my queue did not update.) He was easily a second rounder, but I got greedy. That said, while Rollins is getting older, he still puts up numbers and anything is better than having Jeter.
Ya i understand steals lead to runs which is kinda why i picked up Bouban from Texas, I just dont draft it early, i really wanted Meur to draft to more picks but im happy with Tulo hes the definably the second best SS.
Mauer went where he should have. If I had drafted 3rd-7th, I would have grabbed Utley first followed by Rollins at SS or go like I did and aim for some high quality pitching out right. I was once again one of the last to make a grab at a 1B and still got Helton.
I personnally can't wait to see what strasburg will do in the next month.
I believe he will be on many people's Scout Lists
I almost feel like just picking him up just because he was so good in spring and will get the call up so fast.
