I will admit to playing around in the Mock Draft Lobby ... frequently while at work, when I shouldn't be.
Do you guys need any more players? If so, I'd love to play. And if not that's fine.

A week from Sunday...draft is on!

I'm in this to win this! You guys ready to go down? :)
Same here ... You guys will get chewed on
Same here ... You guys will get chewed on
You sure talk the talk, but when it comes time to perform, will you be another loud also ran, or a real competitor? I'm not sure at this point, but not really worried either. Anyway, I've got a spring training game to watch and I might polish up my 2009 NFL and MLB Fantasy trophies and clear some room for 2010. :D
I think you'll be surprised ...
I bet there will still be a race for the Pujols...
I bet there will still be a race for the Pujols...
I've been playing fantasy baseball since the late 90's and I've never had the first pick, so I doubt I'll be getting him on my roster (and clearly he is the first pick.)
I don't require him to be my first pick actually. There are a lot of 1B I am willing to have in his place, especially since it is a deep position this year.

That said, I do understand what you are saying and understand the value of a clear strategy concerning positional players based on availability and talent pool.
1B is one of those positions I can afford to fill later in the draft but hopefully before the 8th round is done
Just a quick reminder, the draft is Sunday, March 28, 2010, 4:00 PM ET.
Making my list, checking it twice

What kind of person wouldn't know when their own draft is? Sheesh.
The one who likes to run their team on autopilot and places last routinely
The one who likes to run their team on autopilot and places last routinely
I was being sarcastic. I just asked him about it. I couldn't remember if it was Saturday or Sunday.
Well, some people like to play just to play and are not out to win it, especially if it is just a bunch of friends playing.

Blah...picking 7th. I'm never, ever, ever in the top half of the draft, lol.
Looks like I'm picking 2nd ... I'd have preferred 4th or 5th actually but I'll make it work...

I'm 3rd and feeling pretty neutral about that. That makes me 7th for the second run through.
I've got a good idea what my 1st pick will be already...
I've got a good idea what my 1st pick will be already...
I do too, but we won't go there as I am dreaming he'll be around at 7. ;)

I have a list of 3 players for each position. Let's hope it works out that neatly for me.
I have a list of 3 players for each position. Let's hope it works out that neatly for me.
I'm just going to wing it with a glass of wine or two. No need for lists. Just take the best available through the first 5 and then focus on scarcity. That is my secret (Ok, not really, but I'm not giving anything up until tomorrow at 4PM.) Well, that and that I watch 200 baseball games a year, to the chagrin of many. :D

Wine sounds good... But I enjoy lists. I'm a list kind of girl. Plus, I don't have 25% of your baseball knowledge. I'll need them. ;)

Still, get yourself a bunch of draft kits and sites to help you make educated picks with players available.
I pick 9th I can definately work with that especially with the snake format.
