Same here ... You guys will get chewed on
You sure talk the talk, but when it comes time to perform, will you be another loud also ran, or a real competitor? I'm not sure at this point, but not really worried either.
Anyway, I've got a spring training game to watch and I might polish up my 2009 NFL and MLB Fantasy trophies and clear some room for 2010. :D
I bet there will still be a race for the Pujols...
I've been playing fantasy baseball since the late 90's and I've never had the first pick, so I doubt I'll be getting him on my roster (and clearly he is the first pick.)
I don't require him to be my first pick actually. There are a lot of 1B I am willing to have in his place, especially since it is a deep position this year.

If I have the first pick, there is no question in my mind that I will take the best, most consistent player in baseball.
That said, I do understand what you are saying and understand the value of a clear strategy concerning positional players based on availability and talent pool.

I was being sarcastic. I just asked him about it. I couldn't remember if it was Saturday or Sunday.
Well, some people like to play just to play and are not out to win it, especially if it is just a bunch of friends playing.
I hear ya. :)
I've got a good idea what my 1st pick will be already...
I do too, but we won't go there as I am dreaming he'll be around at 7. ;)
I have a list of 3 players for each position. Let's hope it works out that neatly for me.
I'm just going to wing it with a glass of wine or two. No need for lists. Just take the best available through the first 5 and then focus on scarcity.
That is my secret (Ok, not really, but I'm not giving anything up until tomorrow at 4PM.)
Well, that and that I watch 200 baseball games a year, to the chagrin of many. :D
Wine sounds good... But I enjoy lists. I'm a list kind of girl. Plus, I don't have 25% of your baseball knowledge. I'll need them.
Lists are good, but just like war the best laid plan goes to pieces after the first pick is taken.
Still, get yourself a bunch of draft kits and sites to help you make educated picks with players available.
