I absolutely agree. Four months is a long time and I am not exactly a patient person - but it's the same with True Blood anyway, so I can at least switch between "anxiously awaiting"-modes between those two :D (And I'm still surprisingly calm about the fourth season of Damages, I guess the wait is already that long that I've stopped noticing).
I was so disappointed with the finale. I don't know, it just felt like a random episode, not a finale. Although, I'm a little tired of everytime the gang has a problem, there is a quick fix. It's getting old. I don't mind that Anna and Vicki are back, but I just don't like the way they were brought back. It is a little cheesy for my taste. And I wish they would get on with Elena and Damon. In season one I could totally see Elena falling for Damon but with her making it cleary every single time it will "always" be Stefan is this season I'm not sure how Elena will fall for Damon. I don't know, the show's got me all kinds of irritated but I'm sad about Elijah. Hate Klaus! He doesn't scare me, he actually comes off as a whiny brat.

Even though Elijah and all of them are dead, the daggers could just be pulled out and they would come back. I have that feeling that Damon or someone will try and bring them back so they can help take out Klaus.

Stefan will kill [insert minor main character or new character] on his killing spree with Klaus, while Damon will help Elena and her friends throughout the whole next season and will display even more emotions. That way she will fall for him pretty quickly. I don't think that this is the best way to go, but consistency has never been the greatest attribute of Kevin Williamson, and it's not why I'm watching the show. As long as they finally get it on with Tyler and Caroline (the only couple I'm fairly caring about), I'll be happy.
I love Tyler and Caroline and I can't stand Matt. Somebody kill his irrelevant ***. I really wish Klaus would have died, I know it would have been too easy but really, he doesn't scare me. At least when Elijah was more of a villian he was cool.

I like Matt. I just wish they would do more with his character. Now that he knows the truth, I think we will see a huge turn around with him. Book Matt is way better than TV Matt.
I like Matt. I just wish they would do more with his character. Now that he knows the truth, I think we will see a huge turn around with him. And there's plans to bring Meredith so him and Meredith would most likely have a relationship. They're also planning on bring back his mom, because she's a succubus.
After the finale I'm leaning more toward Stefan/Katherine.

I'm ready to see Damon and Elena hook up already.
I'm ready to see Damon and Elena hook up already.
I thought you were a Stefan/Elena fan? Lol, I was too until the finale. Eventually if Stefan goes back to the good side, I'd want him to be with Elena in the end. "THE VAMPIRE DIARIES" Based on the best-selling book series, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is the story of two vampire brothers, obsessed with the same gorgeous girl, who are battling to control the fate of an entire town. In season one, Stefan and Damon Salvatore returned to their hometown of Mystic Falls, Virginia, for very different reasons. Stefan was determined to get to know Elena Gilbert, who bears a striking resemblance to Katherine Pierce, the beautiful but ruthless vampire the brothers knew and loved - in 1864. Damon, on the other hand, was intent on releasing Katherine from the tomb where he believed she was trapped by a witch's spell all those years ago. In the explosive season finale, Elena's uncle set a plan in motion that saw the return of the vengeful Katherine Pierce. In season two, Katherine's appearance and her precise manipulation threw a wrench into the love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon, and the other residents of Mystic Falls were forced to choose sides as they fell victim to a new breed of danger. Stefan and Damon were later met with their greatest challenge yet - the arrivals of Elijah and Klaus, two of the "original" vampires. As Klaus goes head to head with Damon and takes a special interest in Stefan, he is also seemingly focused on breaking the "Sun and Moon" curse by sacrificing Elena. Yet no matter what action the brothers take to protect Elena, Klaus won't be swayed from his mission, proving to be the most powerful vampire in existence. Season three opens the door to learn more about Klaus and The Original Family as his motives for wanting Stefan on his side are finally revealed. As Stefan sinks deeper into the dark side, Damon and Elena struggle with the guilt of their growing bond even as they work together to bring Stefan back from the edge. The ghosts from Jeremy's past have a powerful message they're trying to deliver to him, not to mention the impact they're having on his relationship with Bonnie. And as Caroline and Tyler grow closer, a war erupts between their families. The series stars Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert, Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore, Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore, Steven R. McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert, Kat Graham as Bonnie Bennett, Candice Accola as Caroline Forbes, Zach Roerig as Matt Donovan, Michael Trevino as Tyler Lockwood, Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman and Joseph Morgan as Klaus. Based on the series of books by L. J. Smith, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is from Bonanza Productions Inc., Outerbanks Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Kevin Williamson ("Scream," "Dawson's Creek"), Julie Plec ("Kyle XY," "Wasteland"), Leslie Morgenstein ("Gossip Girl," "Private") and Bob Levy ("Gossip Girl," "Privileged").
Looks like the Stefan/Klaus alliance will be stronger, and possibly a war between the Sheriff and the Mayor.
I am all for Damon and Elena....of course, I have been since the beginning, LOL.

I have wanted Damon and Elena together since the beginning. How can you not choose Ian Somerhalder over all of them ;)

Here's the new promo for season 3. It's looks crazy, especially the Stefan stuff... The Vampire Diaries - Whet Your Appetite - YouTube

Just watched the whole series via Netflix/Hulu. It's hard to not root for Damon/Elena.
Anyone here watch tonights episode?
Anyone here watch tonights episode?
I watched it!!! I thought it was a decent episode to start back with. Of course, being a Damon/Elena fan, I loved the ending. This is probably my favorite season to date, but that's probably just because I'm a huge Joseph Morgan (Klaus) fan.

I finally thought that Damon got it, finally understood that everything Stefan has ever done has been for him, but then he goes and kisses Elena. I just felt like the moment wasn't right, but as soon as they stepped onto that porch I knew it was gonna happen.
Pretty average season, but I gotta say, loved the finale.
Pretty average season, but I gotta say, loved the finale.
It was one of the best TVD finales yet! So many different twists and turns. I was shocked throughout the entire thing. Can't wait to see what's in store for the characters next season.
It was one of the best TVD finales yet! So many different twists and turns. I was shocked throughout the entire thing. Can't wait to see what's in store for the characters next season.
I cried almost the whole time. It really was a great finale!!

I have a feeling she's going to turn to dark magic and we'll get some Evil!Bonnie
Like this season was the season of the originals, I think next season is going to be Bonnie's season, season of the witches. I have a feeling she's going to turn to dark magic and we'll get some Evil!Bonnie
That's exactly what I don't want: a season full of Bonnie. I think they should focus more on Elena and her new dilemma. But I can see them sticking partly with the Bonnie story. I'm just never been able to become a fan of Bonnie.
Next season, I think will focus more on Elena's vampire transition (much like the thrid book, The Fury). But as far as the big bad goes, I can see Bonnie becoming very dark and thus becoming the big bad (similar to Willow on Buffy). As for Klaus, we sure haven't seen the last of him yet. Here's the official season 4 summary posted by the CW:
Based on the best-selling book series, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is the story of two vampire brothers, obsessed with the same gorgeous girl, who are battling to control the fate of an entire town. Stefan and Damon later faced their greatest challenge yet — the arrivals of Elijah and Klaus, two of the powerful “original” vampires. Season three revealed the history of Klaus and The Original Family, as well as the surprising friendship Klaus and his sister Rebekah shared with Stefan decades earlier — until Klaus compelled Stefan to forget they’d ever met. In the present day, Klaus’ return led to Stefan’s descent back to his violent “Ripper” ways. Elena and Damon worked together to bring Stefan back from the edge, even as they struggled with the guilt of their growing bond. Meanwhile, Klaus found himself irresistibly drawn to Caroline Forbes, forcing Caroline’s boyfriend, Tyler Lockwood, to break his sire bond to Klaus and claim Caroline as his own. Finally, the life of Alaric Saltzman, Elena and Jeremy’s trusted teacher and guardian, took a terrifying turn when Klaus’ mother, Esther, used witchcraft and Bonnie’s unwilling help to turn Alaric into a powerful vampire who hunts down and destroys other vampires – the ultimate vampire hunter. Season Four begins with the knowledge that everything is changing. As Elena and her friends enter into the final stretch of high school before graduation sends them off on different paths, their bond to their home town of Mystic Falls takes on a deeper meaning when a new villain seems intent on destroying it. The series stars Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert, Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore, Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore, Steven R. I'm extremely late, but I just 4 days ago began watching this show... Needless to say, I finished the 3 seasons in 4 days, and although I've never been much of a "Vampire/Werewolf"-show lover, I am addicted to this show. Maybe partially because of Ian Somerhalder But I do love all the drama and various story lines... It never feels like any episode is merely a "filler" but to me each episode has it's own complex story line (feels like I am watching a movie with every episode), and I like that. So, I am officially a fan. Can't wait for season 4.
You know it's totally because of Ian Sommerhalder!!! How about that season 3 finale? WOWZAS!
You know it's totally because of Ian Sommerhalder!!! How about that season 3 finale? WOWZAS!
Hahahaha, yes, I admit. But for good reason... He is a brilliant actor, and his good looks helps a lot. I thought the finale was really interesting. There were so many story lines going on at the same time, yet they tied in well with each other. I like that it ended on a cliffhanger but not a ridiculous one. Frankly, it leaves me wanting more. I hate when shows come out with an awesome first season, then the following seasons become worse and worse, but with this, I just feel it building with each season. So I like that.

I didn't know the storylines would reel me in this much.

LOL
Welcome to the darker side, haha. So, are you Stelena fan or Delena?..or Kelena?
Thanks :) hehe I am definitely a Damon fan.... She says she wants passion, what better way than a smoking hot vampire with a dangerous side? :P Stefan annoys me in some ways... it's like he's afraid to stand up to her... While Klaus, (which I am assuming is the Kelena), well, I really like him, poor guy's just lonely, hahahah. But he isn't an option for Elena at all. Btw, Idk, I just really dislike Matt and I don't really like Bonnie either. I am still on the fence about the brother. It's strange though how it would seem like Nina Dobrev's acting skills isn't up to par when she plays Elena, but she is extremely convincing when it comes to the double role... sometimes I feel like Elena and Katherine are 2 different people, so maybe it's just the Elena role that has to be portrayed like that. She's a decent Actress I think (in this show at least).
