After reading about Russell's flirting I guess a Parvati/Russell showmance on All Stars is inevitable...
I dunno...Parvati seems to have a little bit of taste...
Back on topic, I read that Shambo reportedly lost quite a bit of weight. However, someone said that she also injured her shoulder 2 weeks in, which would put her at least 4 tribal councils in. This is good for me, as people that know her have said she is a very likable person and she is one of my early favorites.
She also was asked to do S20 but refused.
She was also one of two (Ashley being the other) that mentioned worrying about being medevac'd out. Maybe a subtle hint?
Also, Erik and Ashley were last minute additions to the cast. Both were originally alternates and were added during the final round of interviews. Andy Dent at Reality Blurred said that knowing that they were alternates, it made a "huge difference" for one of them.
Surrounded by coconut palms in a land steeped in tradition, the Samoans who inhabit this island have a proud history and strong sense of community that has enabled their own survival. From the start of the game, Survivor embraces this Samoan culture by incorporating an ancient tradition of electing an individual leader of the village. Without speaking, both tribes must immediately choose one member of their group to become their sole decision maker, their chief. How important will the role of tribal chief be in determining the fate of each tribe?
Sounds like an interesting twist!
The two tribe leaders are Russell S and Mick.

From sucks:
Apparently part of Russell's "antics" include sabotaging his own tribe, ruining all the rice and telling one of the younger girls he is in love with her in order to gain ground in the game (either votes or an alliance, it's unclear).
My bet is on Marisa.

"But Survivor: Samoa showed a darker, more malevolent side to paradise, explains Survivor host Jeff Probst of the 19th season of reality TV's most durable, enduring survival competition.
There were rascals in Survivor's paradise, Probst reports - and paradise itself was not always what it was made out to be, either.... Through it all, though, the wind howled, the skies opened up and the castaways were drenched.
'Samoa is very beautiful - and it kicked the *** of two people to the point where they had to be evacuated,' Probst told Canwest News Service in a long, wide-ranging conversation. 'It was hot, and then it rained. And it rained for about a week. They didn't have fire. And they couldn't get water. It was hard. It was definitely hard.' "
Possible extreme dehydration evacuations?
Here is Survivor Phoenix's recap of the TV Guide episode that aired recently.
No Exile Island! :D
Among the things Jeff said about contestants (not word for word, but the general gist):
Overall, a lot of likable people.
Shannon: "She's got this great mullet which looks great on her. That's a real person. She rides a Harley, I like my hair this way, and here's a little bit of here, and uh, let's go."
Jaison (pronounced Jay-sahn, not Jason): "He's a likable and smart dude. I would be so happy if he won this game"
Ashley: "I think Ashley will do what has to be done. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see a woman's alliance at all. It could be pretty deadly"
Ben: "Ben is a volcano, it's just a matter of if he's going to erupt or not. I wouldn't trust him at all. In fact, I'd believe the opposite."
Elizabeth (Liz): "I think Liz is two-sided. Pleasant to be around, calculating, conniving, and tailor-made for the game."
Dave: "Dave is fascinating. The highest IQ of anyone I think we've had on this show."
Laura: "I like her qualities. May not agree with her politics, but I like the way she comes across. I could see Laura winning this game."
Russell S: "I don't think Russell can win this game. Not because he's not nice enough, I don't think he's diabolical enough."
Marisa (Ma-ree-sa): "Marisa might be this woman who's spent a lot of time in other cultures, and is such a good person that she doesn't have the killer instinct for this game."
Mick: "No one cares that you're a doctor at home. All I want to know is how you're gonna help me win a million bucks. And I think Mick is in for a big surprise."
Kelly: "Kelly pretty much tells you everything you need to know if you look at her. Two big tattoos: one says caution, one says trouble."
John: "John Fincher is going to hate me by the time this show is over because I think Fincher is a poser. This is a game where you've gotta show up. And I don't think Fincher's got it."
Natalie: "I think Natalie is probably tougher than she looks and maybe not quite as sophisticated in this game as she would like to be."
Brett: "I don't know if Brett is a little like Erik from Fans vs Favorites, who is gonna get his head handed to him by some hot woman, or if Brett's playing that and knows what's going on."
Betsy: "I would align with Betsy. That would be my first choice. She is a major player if she gets a chance."
Russell H: "Russell is pure evil. That guy is diabolical. I think he can go a long way in the show. It's scary."
Erik: "What Erik might try to do is play the women just like they're playing him."
Monica: "Monica is the woman with whom you know you should stay away from and you can't not go there. She is devious in the most charming and delightful way."
Yasmin: "Yasmin is either going to crumble or completely surprise me. I loved her in casting but since the beginning I've had a big question about whether she can hack it."
Mike: "He's lost like 50 lbs, he's lost so many things about himself, but at the end of the day, he's still limited in what he can do."
For the first time in Survivor history, Jeff Probst kicks someone out of a challenge.
Wow! That alone is a reason to tune in this season.
From TDT:
These pictures are presumably from episode 3 (as Probst is wearing the same shirt in the pictures as he was for some promo footage on day 7), which would eliminate Kelly (being tackled), Ashley, Monica (in peach bathing suit), and Natalie from being booted beforehand. TDT thinks that the two guys behind Natalie are Dave and Brett. The challenge looks similar to ones done in past seasons (China, FvF, Tocantins), which involved full contact.

Also from TDT:
From screencaps, they guessed that Foa Foa (yellow) wins the first Reward Challenge, as a lot of their screencaps involve smoke in the background (which would indicate they won flint as the first challenge always is) while none of Galu (purple) have smoke.
We do know that the first episode doesn't have a combined reward/immunity challenge as it's shown them doing 2 different challenges. They also guessed that Foa Foa is the first to head to tribal council.
People perceived to be in "danger" by TDT for first episode boots are Liz (big mouth), Mike (oldest man), and Betsy (oldest woman).
On the opposite side, Ben, Jaison, and Shannon have been endorsed by Probst as "big stars".
OK so CBS has uploaded like 50 million videos of this Russell ******* and here is just another one of them.

Might be going out on a limb but I think Russell will be a villain of the season(shocker I know) and apparently so evil that CBS now has a love affair with him. He is in a crap load of videos.

They loved him so much they put him on ASS2. I would really love to see him try and pull the same crap with some of those girls on season 20.

Coach might have some competition now for Jeff's affection haha
Coach might have some competition now for Jeff's affection haha
I dunno, for some reason I don't think Jeff liked him very much.
Man when shows/movies **** one thing like this it really makes me skeptical of how crazy it will actually be and if the show is any good at all. Don't put all your eggs in one basket CBS! I was over the "Coach Show" pretty quickly and I am not looking for a replacement anytime soon. I am already kind of sick of seeing him...
Episode 2 is called "Taking Candy from a Baby".
Here's the preview:
YouTube - Survivor Samoa - Episode 2 Preview
The challenge apparently is a reward and immunity challenge. The immunity idol is shown next to Jeff, as well as a basket of what appears to be fishing supplies.
It should be noted that Ben and Yasmin are speaking to each other at the Foa Foa camp. This should mean that Foa Foa wins reward/immunity and kidnaps Yasmin.

Bah, I wish I could remember where I read this (it was late) but apparently Russell sabotaged his tribe so that they were "Ulonged" out...similar to Palau. That'd be such a moronic strategy.
Ben will leave because his comments get even more and more racial. Jaison had enough of it and wanted him out. That will be the only week The Evil One does not control the vote while at Tribal Council. This will show The Evil One is playing smart because even though he liked Ben - he knew to stay out of something as heated as what this will be. You think the comments about koolaid and ghetto were bad - you aint seen nothing yet.
This same poster had season 20 spoilers that I posted in the other thread. If the Ben info comes true either this week or possibly next, her S20 credibility will be pretty good.

It wouldn't be much of a surprise to me. I see Ben as sort of like Braden from Big Brother 11. Brash and cocky, throwing out insults at anyone he doesn't like.
Spoilers from missyae - as we see how this unfolds, we can also see whether her All Star spoilers are valid:
Okay I am gonna be nice even though some of you have been very rude. Next weeks boot on 19 will be Yasmin Giles. I will also give you the next person who will be booted from the other tribe - Ashley Trainer. The merge will happen when Foa Foa is down to 4 players and Galu has 8. After the merge the first player to be voted out will be Erik from Galu. This will take the numbers down to Galu with 7 and Foa Foa with 4. The next player to leave by injury will be Russell Swan from Galu. He does not make the merge. Now I told you Yasmin is next and Ashley is next from Foa Foa. Russell Swan gets injured and leaves. So if you look at the players from Galu you will know they all make the merge except Yasmin and Russell. Then quickly after the merge Erik is the first jury member. Only 4 Foa Foa members merge and one will not be Ashley and one will be Russell. So all you have to figure out is which of these 2 make it - Natalie - Mick - Jaison. One does not make it. They are misleading you by not showing The Evil One and Shambo talking to each other. Jeff Probst is also misleading you with his talk of Natalie playing a smart game and not going along with Russell - she was in his back pocket the whole time they were out there together. They got along with each other. What they are not showing you at Galu is the person running things is Laura. All the talk The Evil One was doing about an all girls alliance was just a smokescreen to scare the other men on his tribe into voting out Ashley.
By leaving out Liz's name I am assuming she is insinuating that she makes the merge?
