This is Ibis' 3rd challenge. She did Battle of the Sexes II, Gauntlet II, and now The Ruins. This is only Sarah' first challenge.
I think he meant "first challenge back in a while" in terms of her not being in a challenge in four years since Gauntlet II was in 2005, if I remember correctly. Way before Kenny, Johnny, Evan, Dunbar, Diem, etc came into the challenge scene.
I am quite excited for it.

I know I think of ppl like her as real veterans ! She has been in the game since 2004. People like Kenny and Evan think doing challenges back to back makes u a veteran. Ibis is a true Vet.

But she only did 3 challenges though. How does that make her a vet?

Oh yeah? Where did they say that?
I would think twice before speaking for other people.
She's a vet, because I think you're considered a vet after 2 challenges. I think Kenny and Evan are "true veterans" too.
Technically speaking, I think "veteran status" is achieved after being on 2+ challenges (exception is Jamie from New Orleans I believe on GII, but I don't think he minded since his rookie team ended up winning).
So Evan and Ibis are virtually the same in terms of challenge hierarchy. It is all a matter of opinion, I think, when some people hear the word veteran, they think of Veronica and Mark who have been around longer. On paper though, some Fresh Meat is equally veteran-ized ;)

What you said and what he said are the same thing. He said after two (meaning 3 and beyond), and you said 2+ (meaning 3 or more). You're considered a veteran after completing two challenges, meaning appearing in your third challenges makes you a veteran.

I quoted the wrong person. I meant to quote Delancey, but quoted D instead unintentionally repeating what he said. My bad.

I know that Molds has already touched on this, but you really have NO IDEA what Kenny or Evan think. You should probably stick to what you know.
Assuming makes an a** out of...... well.... you get it.
Besides, this is Kenny's 5th challenge. Ibis has only done 3. Wouldn't that mean Kenny technically has more experience than she? I suppose it all depends on what REALLY makes one a vet... age or # of challenges. Ibis is definitely older.

Cast members refer to themselves as veterans only when Bunim-Murray Productions offers them that level of contract (the other being for rookies) ; therefore, it doesn't matter what anyone wants to call them or for what reasons one posits. After being on two challenges, you get offered the "veteran's" contract version for the third one. The appearance fee pay structure is different (better) in the veteran contract. Within the RW/RR community, that is the only way they refer to themselves in this regard because it is a legal contact distinction.
so rookies in the contract get paid better?
Umm...I don't know how much clearer it can get...

Her punishment should be that she is written off of the show. just dont show her at all. pretend her elimination never happended and neither did her confessionals or missions.
Wow!!!!!!!!! Weird that you dislike her this much! I'm pretty sure she wouldn't get in trouble for it at all bc we assume this pix was taken in Thailand but there is no proof at all... who knows it wasn't taken over Spring break or vacation.... I'd relax if I were u.

Someone just shoot me now please.:dash1:
(What is a "rookie in the contract?" Anyone?)
Actually, since I've consistently declined to comment about the challenge, that is not what my comment was about.
I was referring to the outlandish prior speculation of some of our members. When the season airs, they will have conveniently forgotten their wild pronouncements. Some are already distancing themselves.
I'm understand your position, perhaps and am guilty as most of making wild assumptions based on the departure list and cast. Without understanding all of the elements, I'll even go as far to say some of my assumptions could be absurd.
However, when the dust settled 3 of the last 4 guys standing are Johnny, Kenny, and Evan - (whom just so happen to be best friends) against a field with people like Brad, Darrell, Wes, Dunbar, and someone like Casey & Susie (who has a great relationship with all 3) can oulast the mighty Evelyn, Tonya, Diem, and Veronica, then I believe it is safe to speculate that regardless of the team breakdown and rules, that there was a major maniulation to swing the game in the favor of perhaps 5 or 6 people.
In addition with this being a speculation page, I speculate and am even willing to bet money that 2 of the 3 male cohorts listed above never saw a face off in this challenge. While Evan is a good competitor and proven, the records of Bananas and Kenny in face offs speak for themselves.
Johnny has yet to win a face off - minus the rigged victory on The Island where Derrick basically took a dive.
Kenny is winless. ****, he is winless in missions except when he had the luxury of depending on a female teammate to help him (Evelyn in the dogsled challenge on I3 and the weakest female opposition in the fishing challenge on I3).

I really think that some people underestimate Kenny and Johnny, mainly Kenny. I know they aren't the strongest players, but I think that they can hold their own when they need too. Though Kenny had Evelyn help him in the dogsled challenge I'm sure she didn't carry him through it. Johnny won the Island faceoff in the cage against Cohutta and someone else who escapes me right now (Derrick?). I'm really intrested to see how this season played out, because I'd be surprised to see that Kenny and Johnny got a free ride. I would think that someone would rather go against them than Brad, Evan, Derrick or Darrell.
I guess my worst feelings our confirmed. It's Kellyanne/Sarah vs. Kenny,Johnny, Evan, Derrick, and Susie. I'll just leave it at that.
Really? Where'd you read that? I saw no confirmation of any kind.

I saw in a certain someone's facebook a pic that was very informative. It had a picture of Kellyanne/Sarah in blue uniforms and the boys/Susie in Red uniforms. Therefore, I've drawn my conclusion.

Lol, that's basically Vets vs Rookies.

Really? A certain someone? You can't just come out and say who it is? I'm sure others would like to know where they can find said picture.

I found the pic on Ceasar Flores's facebook
Ceasar Flores, Sarah even commented on the pic.
I can confirm it. If nobody minds, I can post it if you'd like?
