RW/RR Challenge: The Ruins - Spoilers & Speculation

So a few days ago my friend was at JFK Airport picking up his girlfriend and happened to see Evan walking with a $160000 check... I wonder what that means lol

This is true... At the same time it could just be the check that the team gets for winning the final mission... It was like a big cutout check and my friend isn't exactly an avid Challenge watcher so I highly doubt this is something he would make up.

It could also be the check he got from the Duel. For some reason I don't think he would be stupid enough to flaunt a check from a challenge that hasn't even been announced around...that'd be too dangerous. Now that the Duel is over and aired, he could just have it as a souvenir.

That's a very good point lol... I actually hope that its his Duel check and that my friend mistook the first 0 for a 6 because Evan is not somebody who I am rooting for to win two challenges in a row.

Question for the mods: If you have some info on the challenge and you want to reveal it what if you can't reveal your source? I'm just wondering.

If it is true thar Evan was carrying a $160,000 check, that could just be the money that he won with Kenny, Johnny, Derrick and Susie written out to their team like how the check was written out to "The Winners" on the Island.

Well, with them anything is possible given the lopsided teams of the Ruins finale as well as the uneven number of eliminations/departures. The duel 2 aftershow was taped in NYC this past week, and I guess my question would be, did he have a check with him during the Reunion taping.

Wasn't the Duel II earnings 100,000 though? Where would the 60,000 be incorporated from? I also wonder though how close BMP is keeping an eye on everything. I mean, to let a photo go out on facebook which pretty much anybody can view if they have good creeping skills makes me wonder. A cast member didn't put it up, either, but rather somebody working behind the scenes in Thailand. Whatever the reasoning, it is definitely to our spoiler-loving benefit, so I am not complaining. Thanks in advance! :)[/quote] Maybe they needed more champions..for Champions Vs. Challengers. I don't think there is any rule that they can't cast winners from the previous challenge. If that was the case, Johanna wouldn't have been cast on the Island. (I'm sure there are others but I don't feel like trying to remember).

Also, I forgot Nehimiah was a "champion", haha. I am by no means complaining, more Evan means more entertainment and fun for me as a viewer ;) Indeed, I am sure there are other winners to were casted the next season after their win. It it just that The Duel is pretty much a solo thing, so instead of splitting cash however many ways depending on the team challenge (Infernos, Gauntlets, The Island, etc) the female/male victor gets it all for themselves. If Evan and his team does end up winning The Ruins final, he should be a very wealthy man for a bit! Hehe.

There are no "rules" regarding who is cast. They pick who they want for Q ratings and possible story lines from among those who are available and interested.

Maybe it is just my imagination but since this is a speculation thread, I guess I will bring up the fact that Kenny seems to have a leg cast on the picture.

I think it would be awesome if Evan won this challenge and then showed up at the Duel 2 reunion as the winner of both challenges.

Where does it say anything about Katie potentially blowing up? I cant find it.

Ha ha two girls left for one team (it appears). That would be too funny to see. It would have been even funnier to see all those alpha males lose to the two girls. That would humble them quick.
