Do you really think Ibis is weaker than Johanna? Johanna doesnt seem like a fighter to me, in a one on one combat. we haven't really seen her perform, because the guys save her, but I dont think she would win on a one to one combat over Ibis.
If I had to rank the girls, I would put Johanna slightly above Ibis. Actually, they're probably interchangeable, but both would be in my bottom tier of girls.
I find Ibis not only way hotter than Johanna, but also a solid competitor. The girl was willing to eat the entire Roti plate back in G2 if it guaranteed them the victory, and she was pretty much the one Rookie girl who ate the most. The closest thing Johanna has ever done to facing off in an elimination round was the hold your breath competition while holding a weight in your hands back in The Island and she didn't win, although she was the last one to lose that one before Evelyn won it. But since Johanna doesn't seem like the type of girl who would like to gain a few pounds in a food thing and prefers thin guys in her personal life, Ibis obviously would have her beat in something like that.

That was then (almost 4 years ago); this is now. Taking the competition levels from this challenge, Johanna and Ibis are about equal. If anything Johanna has a slightly higher stock. However, in my opinion they're still in the bottom quarter of competitors.
I def. think out of the Champion girls left Susie and Veronica are the strongest. The way Veronica held onto that pole proved she has what it takes to compete.I also loved that she pointed that out to Ibis in the deliberation.
i think Joanna gets a bad rap.. i dont think she is weak, she ranks somewhere in the middle, for example in the Island, in her first faceoff she came in 2nd (among 3) against a dude.. and on the final faceoff she came in second (among four), holding her own against arguably the strongest girl in the current era, Evelyn.
also, i was indeed refering to Ibis as been the weakest of the remaining Champions girls, remember that on the second challenge she didnt get to the plataform on the 1st try as the rest of the girls on her team.. and come to think of it, i believe her team sacrifice her (to screw Wes) on the 1st challenge, maybe because she would have more trouble climbing up.
again, i do like Ibis a lot, i think she is a better person, that a lot of the cast, but her teammates marked as weak, when they were forced to vote someone in without a previous agreement.
on a related subject, i dont understand how Johnny, Derrick, and others could say they didnt know who to vote for when at the beginning of the episode they were present when Ibis herself said the plan was V vs KA.
They said that because the voting didn't go as planned(Evan saved Veronica). So they didn't know if Evan and Kenny were still continuing the plan. At leas that's what I tink but I could be wrong:)
I like Ibis, but what has she ever done for people to consider her a strong competitor?
If I had to choose between Johanna and Ibis to me it would be a no brainer that Johanna is a better competitor. I know that Johanna relies on alliances to make it far in these challenges but when has she ever slacked, showed fear of doing any mission or caused her team to loose a mission? Never. She always pulls her own weight. Arguably, she even came close (or at least was the one who came closer) to beating Evelyn on the Island for that key in that final face-off.
If I was in a team with both Johanna and Ibis and I had to choose one of them I would choose Johanna. Johanna is more agile, more athletic and has more endurance than Ibis. The only thing I remember Ibis being very good at is puzzles (BOTS 2) and that doesn't mean that Johanna can't be good with puzzles too.

Huh? Ibis sucked on the Gauntlet 2 and she sucked here as well. The only rookie girls eating were Ibis and Jodi so it's not like it was a big deal. And Johanna did really well in her Exile, if I remember correctly she reached the finish line with her partner before Wes and Casey, but they forgot their flag. I find that more impressive than out-eating Jodi.
Ibis did not suck on Gauntlet 2, her best challenge performance was on BOTS2 imo. Ibis didn't do poorly on The Ruins but out of Susie, and Veronica, Ibis is the weakest (not the weakest but those 2 would do a better job than Ibis). Ibis and Johanna are very equal imo.
Ibis isn't a bad competitor, it's just that she was the weakest out of Susie, and Veronica... I'm not going to say Johanna bc I think Ibis and Johanna perform equally.

She isn't a bad competitor, but I wouldn't call her solid.
If this is going O.T., i apologize, but the next episode's preview seemed to imply that the Champion males wanted or tried to get physical with Johnny. On one hand, if just one of them raised a hand or drew a fist, i'd be grateful for their bravery and sacrifice. On the other, i don't think it got that serious since they've been smart about it, so far...
But i do agree that Johnny is a whiny little punk not only in what the next episode preview shows, but in this episode too. He didn't have any intention of giving Ibis "a minute" since he kept defensively yelling in his usual whiny way everytime Ibis told him to shut up and let her have her moment to vent.

Johnny plays a ******* prank on Derrick. And then Derrick wakes up and owns Johnny in a wrestling type way, Johnny even cowers in a corner and Evan and Kenny have to pull Derrick off/away from Johnny, I can't wait to see it again because it's really funny.
But of course, Derrick won't get sent home!:D
Reason 1: It was just wrestling, if Derrick had used fists or kicks, then it would've been a real "You're going" issue.
Reason 2: Derrick may not be smart at reading but he's smart enough to know not to push it to that extreme.
He can beat Johnny, even drunk:P
I've said it all along, in a wrestling elimination round Derrick could beat anybody short of Alton or C.T. and yes even Wes, I mean take away the pole on the Duel and Derrick would've beaten Wes imo. Derrick is a beast when it comes to physical eliminations preriod.

Too bad that the elimination was taking the pole away from your oponnent

Is everyone seeing something I am not? I see Derrick charging Johnny (who thinks Derrick is joking around, hence the laughing) He takles Johnny. Once Johnny knows what is going on, he locks up Derrick on the ground.
So how exactly is Derrick "owning" Johnny?

You are owning someone when two people have to drag you off of someone just like Kenny and especially Evan did when Derrick was clearly on top of Johnny and Johnny was cowering in a corner slapping and covering his face like he was afraid Derrick was going to hit him. I agree it did show Johnny on top of Derrick, but it obviously didn't show Derrick get out of his hold. That's why Johnny was in the corner in the next scene with Derrick on top of him before Evan drug him away from Johnny.

It also seemed like Derrick was a bit dazed from just waking up and being drunk. Johnny may have been drunk, but was obviously not as drunk and was fully awake.
I like this opening better than Duel 2. Wes seems like a jerk so far tonight...
Yeah, the Duel 2 theme song made it obvious Evan was gonna win.

Eek! Please don't remind me about that opening... *shudder* ;)
Yeah, the Duel 2 theme song made it obvious Evan was gonna win.
That was just a coincidence since the opening sequence was filmed before the challenges, evidenced by the presence of CT and Adam on it, and the absence of their replacements. Yes, Evan and Mark where at the beginning of the formation but so was Big Easy.. i believe it was just that they fitted the image that the choreographer wanted (big, aggressive males at the front..) plus they werent afraid of taking the risk of looking foolish.
By the way, and returning to the episode.. i found it funny and very telling that even though there is a lot said that on the challenges, the FM generation is eager and willing to get rid of the old school veterans.. on the champions vote, it was the veterans (Sy, Darrel & Derrick) who led the way on screwing veteran Ibis.. whereas the FM leaders (Evan, Kenny, Jo) did try to save her in the end.
and yes, i know the inner circle wanted to screw Veronica, but the Vets could have decided to save Ibis and V, by throwing in Jo.. obviously they also thought Jo was a stronger asset than lovely Ibis.

The reason why Johanna wasn't even considered: She LUVs Kenny's Jersey sausage!!!:D How is BFF Evan possibly gonna deprive Kenny of that pleasure?

In fact Veronica said in a daily that the reason they weren't hooking up was because Kenny had a girlfriend at home. Johanna gets her free ride because she does not really have her own mind, and it is more important to her that her boys win, than it is that she wins.

Sure, and i suppose nothing happened back on The Island...
Hehe, i'm just joking around.:D Of course, i know that Johanna has never really been put to the test in many elimination rounds and the main reason she made it to the end in G3 was because the majority of the Austin kids were on her team so she was set for the end. As for Kenny and Johanna on The Ruins, they're just alliance partners.

Thank you! People don't talk about that but Johanna did pretty darn good in those competitions. And better than Kelly Anne in the last one. Yet ever since Kelly Anne sat on sticks people rave about her. The only one who beat Johanna was the nearly invincible Evelyn. She even had a little strategy going on for herself.
I don't get when people talk like Johanna sucks. What are they basing that on? Where have you seen her suck in a mission? To me a sucky player is someone like Casey, Katie, or Shauvon. The ones that hold a whole team back. We have never seen Johanna hold a team back which is why they don't even show her much in the missions if you notice. If she were so bad they would show her more. So I don't think she's as great as a Susie or Evelyn ofcourse, but I don't think she's bad either. I think she just gets the job done for the team and helps her alliance out. Why is that so terrible?
And the funny thing is, people forget that Johanna could have so embarassed Wes on Fresh Meat because she actually beat him by a lot in the exile, but she and her partner forgot to take the flags. Imagine if she had taken the flags. ha ha.
It also bugs me when people say she sleeps her way through the challenge. Why do people make this thing of girls screwing to get ahead? She only hooked up with Kenny on the Island. She is friends in real life with Kenny and Evan. All those boys use their friendships to get ahead. Kenny is not the greatest physical competitor and he uses his boys to get ahead. That's the game. Your connections do help you. And they use her vote as well to help them with their plans. It's called an alliance. They are nothing new.

The reason why Wes was behind Johanna was his partner Casey who sucks really really bad. Fresh meat challenges base off a two person team. In Exile both people have to cross the finish lines together with the flags. In other words Casey only brought Wes down on fresh meat. Johanna is an average competitor at best. Johanna is at the bottom of the middle tier as a competitor.
If my memory still serves me correctly, i believe something similar happened in the Wes/Casey vs. Melinda/Ryan Exile. Melinda/Ryan could've probably come in at least very close to Wes/Casey but they forgot one of their flags. As for Wes/Casey vs. Johanna/Jesse, Casey ALWAYS sucked as Wes' partner; i mean, he had to hold the majority of the bags every time which belonged to BOTH of them; so this one is certainly no exception, Johanna/Jesse were ahead and even up to 10-20 yards near the finish line when they realized they forgot to pick up their second flag. Had Johanna/Jesse not made that blunder, the game definitely would've played out much more differently.

If Casey would have held her share of the bags and did her part running wise they could have done much better. Wes having to carry the majority of the bags definetely affected him. With that being said having Casey on your team or as your partner is a detriment and you're only better WITHOUT her.
