A lot of people just look down on him because he plays one of the best social games and sides with JEK.
Agreed. As much as a lot of people hate the JEK alliance, including myself, it is the smartest idea to go with them, if you want to win.

It's the smartest if you are good friends with them, like Derrick is, otherwise they'll use you. It just seems like a lot of the people don't realize that they aren't as good of friends with them as they think, like Landon.

Wait, are you saying Landon thinks they are good friends with him, when they aren't?

Did you not see Landon get played on D2? I just meant that the JEK alliance tells Derrick they'll protect him and they do because he's good friends with him but when the big alliance told Landon he was in it, he really wasn't at the end.

I wasn't questioning you as if you were wrong. I just didn't understand fully what you meant. Now that I do get what your saying, your right. I absolutely agree with you.
Can't blame Derrick for doing what he needs to do to get some bank, especially since he's one of the rare castmembers that has a wife and kid to support back home. He tried being the stray wolf going about things the rebellious way for quite awhile and he didn't have jack to show for it, so he obviously must've felt like he had to change his approach to playing the games up a bit. He's been on a roll ever since becoming a "sell out" or whatever you want to label him as.
I think Derrick now just doesn't want to get mixed up in the drama now that he's a dad and all, and would rather just lay low and perform well in the challenges. Since everyone respects Derrick, Johnny and Kenny decided to align with him on The Island since he was a proven player. It also appeared that they were trying to align with Abram before he went home.

Yeah I can forgive Derrick for going with JEK because he has a family support. And I think the reason he didn't do so well in doing his own thing is the same reason it doesn't work for Wes now......He went about it in the wrong way.

Well, Derrick never tried to screw his whole team. He was always on the Challenge to win. Wes, lately has been there to keep the money away from Kenny. If Wes really wanted to win, I believe he would.
Now let me just search that for you:P..
The new challenge show "Fresh Meat II" premiers Wednesday, April 7th at 10pm. MTV aired the pre-series cast introduction show called "Meet the Meat" and we spoke with Derrick by phone to get his thoughts on the upcoming show and the cast.
So I guess he will give his opinion every week. No interview about the first episode yet, however. But you can listen to the interview "Derrick dishes on Fresh Meat 2 cast".

Is that really a bad thing?
And you're right Derrick never tried to screw his team....but he has screwed himself. Just like Wes has so they both went about it the wrong way. But Derrick has changed how he goes about these things. Wes still needs to smarten up IMO.
You're very much welcome, enjoy! And if you want to know when the next interview comes out, I suggest you could follow Derrick's twitter every now and then, he tweets when the interview comes out;)

All I was saying, is that Derrick is always there to win, and Wes isn't.

Okay that's fine but I disagree with you saying that Wes wants to win but I'm gonna save that for another thread.
Lol, I think there are already more than enough people that bring a lot of drama. A couple of normal competitors without drama is not a bad idea:P
Actually there's not alot of people on these things that brings drama.
Well GOOD Drama anyways.
He will not, I'm sorry. :D Because recently in an interview he said: 'Challenge are the best way to show what you are and I will not stop it.'
So, relax. He will be on another challenge.
