i wish there was a "ratings" and "ratings discussion" board so that it was easier to track the increase in ratings without having to go back 30+ pages to find the previous weeks' ratings

If you go to the shows wiki page, you look under episodes and they will have a list of the aired episodes with the ratings beside it.
Excellent! Great to see the ratings go up to epic numbers. It's definitely getting renewed.
Most likely it already got Renewed it just hasn't been announced to the viewers and people that want to audition! MTV posted Wanna be on The REal WOrld? on their casting call yesterday.

I still kind of think there is a chance they will stop after next season though. Saying they had a show that had 30 seasons seems like a nice, impressive, round number to end a series on.

Unless they think they can get to 35. With the increase in ratings and if they have solid ideas for twists, why not go for it? If it's profitable, nothing else really matters.
I loved how they broke down the fourth wall. I loved it since day one. Only thing is they won't do exes for awhile since everyone now is going to be calling their ex to see if they will come on the show. My guess it is going to be high school sweethearts for one of the future seasons.

Highschool sweethearts would be the same as Exes lol Hailey/Thomas and Cory/Lauren were highschool sweethearts.

I know, but you will get the ones who moved away for college and don't talk anymore. The problem with getting exes who still talk to each other is one will notify the other one that they are going on the show then they will hash out everything before the show starts. If that happened this year Haley and Lauren won't have came on. The Ashley (lesbian) is hardly there and Jaime's ex never came, so it would have only been 2 exes in the house.
I don't think they're going to do drastic twists.

Lauren/Cory moved away and didnt talked for a while....The Real World casting process brought them together.
The thing about it after this explosion season they wouldnt be able to blinside the cast again. In order to know who are their exes, they need to ask the person auditioning their ex or high school sweet heart name/Info/phone numbers. If not casting director wouldn't know, even if they dont talked they would notify each other and hash things out.
I don't think the Real World will be ending at Season 30. The Explosion twist is honestly like a rebirth of The Real World. Not only have they been able to satisfy old fans but they now have people who never watched the show tuning in. If they keep the twists interesting I see the show staying around for a while.
As for next season I honestly don't see the twist being like Explosion because people auditioning are expecting it. Whatever twist they have will have to be something that people won't catch on too. Like the people auditioning last season wasn't sure why they were being asked about their Exes but if you ask someone about people in their life now they'll automatically think that person is moving in.

They won't need to with Facebook you can find out the high school sweethearts name. Then get all the info from a private detective.

Some people dont have facebook anymore. ..Plus some would still notify each other and some will even go as far as creating some fake storyline to create camara time as a couple.
I just hope they do something different than exes and Rivals to be honest.

How would they get their name without it being obvious? The only way to find out about someone's Ex is through that person or their family and friends which would all lead to the person finding out.

The Rivals thing could be interesting if it was done right. Like the seven people being picked for the show thought they was being scouted because of their family and friends but when they showed up they find out it was by someone who has unfinished business with them and that they would be their roommate.

That is why I said high school sweethearts, because you don't need to ask the person about them since Facebook. Once you get their name you can get everything else from a private detective. If it involves a relationship before the show that is undefined such as rivals you will have to be asked about it. If it cannot be found on a Facebook account I doubt it will happen. They can also bring in cast member's parent to live in the house. All I know is there probably won't be only seven people living in the house for an entire season ever again.

They won't cast people who don't have a Facebook account. Most people still have an active Facebook account that was updated in 2009 even if they use Twitter and Instagram instead now. Casting agents still use Facebook to notify people about auditions. It is the easiest way to keep the exes format going without having to change anything and it still being secret to the cast.
I think High School Sweetheart is pretty much Exes over again. If you think about it the people who are cast are between the ages of 21-24 so most of the Exes on the show now are their a High School lovers which would be like Exes 2. Plus they've already put emphasis on Thomas & Hailey and Cory & Lauren being High School Sweethearts.
You also have to consider the fact that when people see their High School Sweethearts they aren't going to say "Oh they brought all of our High Lovers back!" they'll be like "Oh all our our Exes are here!". This would lead to the show just being called Explosion 2.

That is the point to do it all over again for the ratings.
People who went far away to a out-of-state college don't talk to their high school sweethearts anymore by the time they hit 23. we're talking over 5 years has passed since high school. It is very easy to find people like that.
I think a cool twist would be adding mini competitions. The same 7/8 strangers format but kind of like Road Rules, except they stay on location and no one gets eliminated.

Not necessarily! Jonathan Murray stated that they had 10. On their twists on their heads for this season, I doubt all 10 had to do with moving people into the house.
There are other ways to shake up the house dynamics and make an interesting/ controversial season.

I am sure they had 10, but it still has to be about living in the house. Adding competitions makes the show The Surreal Life/Road Rules. I just cannot fathom how you can stick with the same seven people, adding a concept to the show, and make it interesting (ratings). I feel like adding more people is what makes the ratings this season.

You can still add more people without them even knowing each other and it would be drama. I could grab seven strangers and move them in with seven locals and it would still be drama.
I have no problem with another Explosion but it would have to be at least three or five seasons apart from this. Another Explosion right after this wouldn't be interesting.
