Poor roommates - they are fully aware of the existence of that antirealworld blog and of the negative sentiment toward them. from what i understand, they appreciate the support from those who are showing up to support them and who say hello or 'welcome' when they see them on the street. their friends and family are all concerned because they obviously have been paying close attention to Twitter, this forum and blogs.
In speaking with some people who are close to several of the roommates, it's all a little bit overwhelming right now -- obviously going from obscurity to being tailed by a camera and a boom mic almost every moment of the day is a major change, add to that the extra attention (which, of course is part of what you sign on for), but just imagine moving somewhere and being made to feel absolutely unwelcome from the very first second. again - do i feel sorry for anybody on a reality tv show? absolutely not -- it's par for the course. but i do hope that DC will warm up to the cast. I was saying to two friends of two cast members earlier that I believe the negative sentiment for the most part is aimed at the crew (for trampling people, blocking shots, "taking over", but that I believe that the negative feelings aren't geared toward (or shouldn't be geared toward) the cast. just my $0.02.

I'm not sure why she talks about people not being thrilled about the show being in DC just as she shows my http://www.twitter.com/realworlddcnewz page.... Or why she closes with filming ends early September.... when clearly it ends at Thanksgiving..
F-minus for accuracy....but A+ for getting a cast member to speak to the news.... I bet he got a bat-phone call from the producers after that....
Oh did you notice, that ******* blond camera guy that (according to http://www.realityblurred.com EVERYONE in the industry now hates, for his lack of professionalism during this TV report: http://www.wusa9.com/video/default.aspx?aid=76636&storyid=88090
i wonder if all the hate will keep them in the house more than going out?
i personally find i enjoy seasons where they stay in much more than ones where they go out every night.

A lot of people in the "high end" areas of DC have a sense of entitlement about everything. I'm beginning to think that the cast would have been better off in downtown Bethesda (a miniature version of D.C. right outside of the city). Maybe it's just a yuppie thing.
...if you look at the forums carefully... it's been announced....
Did I miss the announcement? Was it about Mike's name being revealed?
Driving on Rockville Pike around midnight, hit a red light near Blinds to Go in Mid-Pike Plaza in 'North Bethesda' aka Rockville. Noticed a cameraman and soundman taping people at a bus stop. At first I thought it must be a local news report but quickly realized it was the Real World cast. It seemed to be all 8 members. Almost wanted to shout to talk to them but did not want to be filmed and the light turned green. In hindsight, should have said something, even though that would be ruining the 'reality' of their situation.
Location around here: Google Maps
The only possible reason I can think of them possibly being there is they might have been at Dave & Buster's at White Flint Mall or something? Otherwise, I don't know, this is suburbia on a Monday night, and not near non-north Bethesda. It was after midnight on a Monday night, so I believe Metrorail was closed. After waiting at the stop (they looked bored and possibly ****** off at their predicament), they got on a Ride On bus (Montgomery County's bus system). Camera seemed to be filming them on the bus as well. and took the bus to its last stop, Medical Center. Watched from a distance out of sight. There they seemed to be waiting around, trying to figure out the local public transit system, and were being filmed the whole time. At one point the redhead walked away and either was wiping tears from her face or was just rubbing eyes from being tired. I would guess rubbing eyes because the camera did not seem to be looking at her, which it probably would be if she was crying. I am not sure if Metrobus runs that late into DC, or if they were waiting for a production van or taxi or something, or hoped Metrorail was going to be open there, which it was not. Metrobus probably runs late. After waiting talking with each other, the cameraman seemed to turn his camera off and the cast (specifically who I see you guys refer to as Andrew, in a red leather jacket) seemed to be talking to the crew [hard to tell], breaking the fourth wall, presumably about getting back to Dupont. It was boring, so drove away.
Not sure why Bunim-Murray didn't give the cast a car if they will be going to far distances on weeknights.
I have two pictures
These are from a camera phone without flash at night, so not great shots.

Cast all sitting at the bus stop. Cameraman standing filming with soundman. Mike is sitting all the way on left of booth, next to Josh who is blocked by camera. Others in between. Ty at the other end, I believe. One might have been standing outside booth.

Seriously?!? The RW cast has officially invaded MoCo. Anyway, the cast was probably out at Dave and Buster's at White Flint last night. However, why would the cast be taking a Metro/ Ride-On bus? I thought that production assistants drove the cast around.

"Real world DC going to the White Flint Mall at 10 on a Monday night?!"
So most likely it was Dave & Buster's since the rest of the mall is probably closed by then. Borders closes @ 11.
p.f. chang's is also in white flint. coulda gone there as a possibility too? not sure how late its open on a monday
I highly doubt they would travel about 45 minutes outside of DC just to go to P.F. Changs -- when there are several PF Changs in DC....
Remember - ultimately they are filming a TV Show; and the cast doesn't really have as much freedom to say "heck, let's go to XYZ an hour away...it's Metro accessible" ...
It is, however, possible that they got lost....and didn't know what time Metro stops service... and ended themselves stranded. taking the bus (gasp) is something I would never do, nor know how to do (to be honest) so more power to them.... i'm not sure how great that was to ride on the bus with camera crews in tow.
the crew does have six silver vans that are parked around the real world house - but, those aren't for the cast, i don't believe.
