[strike]So i actually watched a few episodes from the Cancun season for the first time and i'm sorry that i didn't watch it when it aired. The cast members were genuinely funny and outgoing- but not in a trying to hard or ostentatious way like this new orleans season cast. Yeah, they partied and they fought about minute things, but the cast didn't seem as staged or self-aware... it seemed realer than this season. I don't want to completely rag on season 24 because I think it has some potential, but so far I don't see dynamic genuinely funny or compelling individuals like in past seasons- i see solid over-staged sterotypes.[/strike] So I actually watched a few episodes from the Cancun season for the first time and I'm sorry that I didn't watch it when it aired. How is the NO 2 cast self awared and staged?
I have seen a lot of tweets requesting that they bring back the RW Cancun cast to Cancun for another season....hhhmmm.......I think once was enough!!

the Real World Cancun Reunited.....that has a nice ring to it. :)
As I rewatch the season on Hulu+ I hate the fact that Joey left so early! The season would have been amazing had he stayed.

I think Joey was cool. He and Ayiia just were oil and water (and Ayiia was one crazy lady all on her own). The conversation between Bronne and Joey after he left on the phone was one of the funniest conversations I have seen on the show.
I thought Joey was way cool, I also wish he got to stay the whole time. Also, I must admit I have a legitimate man-crush on the guy... And he slept with Ayiiia, who is soooo hot!! Team Joey for life!!!

To me, Joey ranks "up" there with He Who Shall Not Be Named from RW Hollywood, Ryan of New Orleans 2, and Adam from Las Vegas 2. Cast to bring "drama" and new generation RW viewers, but really just despicable characters who make complete fools of themselves all while thinking they are the ****. I'm not into it.

They basically just let him treat her like ****. At least with Greg and Ryan, and Adam to a lesser extent, the roommates realized what d-bags they were. Joey was basically praised for his behavior.

I dunno, Adam acted pretty bat**** crazy too, but was never really held accountable by his roommates. Leroy pointed that out quite well.

I guess Leroy was basically the only one who actually did anything, but everybody for the most part at least seemed to realize that he was crazy. They just, for whatever reason, never said anything. But in Cancun, everybody seemed to love Joey even despite his actions. CJ and Bronne basically kissed his feet.

I think Joey actually has a heart (I remember him having a soft spot for Jasmine or something like that) whereas those three only cared about themselves and nothing else. And didn't appreciate the experience at that was given to them. And in Joey's defense Ayiiia was a super annoying *****, hot, but still. Not that I condone him putting the signs up or anything.

I liked Joey from Cancun. Mostly because I thought Ayiiia was the most annoying thing to ever grace my TV screen, but I do agree that some of the stuff he did was definitely crossing the line.
This season is currently On Demand for Comcast Customers. Go to TV Networks, then MTV, then Vintage MTV.

It's like they had no spine. But To Cancun..This season wasn't one of the best but It did have its moments.
