I'd actually find it cool if MTV actually would post the full uncut reunions online or somehow make them available. I almost always feel like something is left out during reunions. Sometimes I wonder if this or that is even brought up during a reunion. And I sometimes wonder how much in depth certain discussions went. Sometimes what might seem like the smallest things are interesting to viewers as well.
Yeah that would be a good idea, I felt like I had so many unanswered questions. Definitely wouldn't have minded if they had extended it. Thoughts:
It annoys me that I think they cut the Duel trailer to accomodate the time they spent in the beginning promoting Timberlake's new show which btw looks stupid.
Love how Katelynn came out both guns blazing.
Devyn's legs were banging - I need to get on that work out regimen.
Call me naive but I was surprised Baya and Ryan were together, my money was on Scott and Baya. Good luck to them.
Note to JD - PEOPLE ARE NOT DOLPHINS YOU WEIRDO!
Found it interesting how even Ryan admitted that JD does questionable stuff and none of the guys were as quick to defend him as they were during the show.
I think Ryan has trust issues but in a very small way I can understand where he's coming from. It's funny that conversation reminded me of when I lived in London, my British/Euro housemates would always call me out about Americans and our loose use of the word "love" e.g. "I love ice cream" "i love lamp" they just felt like it was disingenuous and ridiculous- I had never thought of it in that way before but it was a valid point. Still there is no justification for him to rail on Sarah the way he has and continues to, I think she's a sincere person and he just made himself look like an ***.
I was lmao during the "you're a b---h Sarah!" "Why am I a b---h?" "Because you're a b---h!" exchange nice to see Sarah stand up for herself instead of always just getting yelled at.
Wish they would've shown some of the dailies clips - the guys were still accusing the girls of talking behind their backs but didn't want to acknowledge that they did the same thing and were even more cruel about it. Glad to know that Maria took them to task on it and it just didn't make the final edit though.
Chet snowboarding was the butchest I've ever seen him, the "Chet don't be gay" story was also hilarious.
Last night was the most I've seen Baya, such a mistake that they didn't show her more on the show.
Thanks V1man for filling in the behind the scenes blanks, you're a rockstar!
I'm a little disappointed at how the Reunion Show did not turn out. I was hoping for closure and healing - and if that happened it wasn't shown or suggested. All I got was Ryan hates Sarah, the girls still hate JD, and JD still doesn't think he did anything wrong. Call me crazy but I love happy endings, and for the most part this wasn't one.
The girls proved again tonight what class acts each and everyone of them are. I believe Baya mentioned this, but I can't recall exactly how. The girls bond was phenomenal and would have been a very inspiring 'episode' for other girls to watch. I would have really loved to have seen just one 5 minute interlude of them playing cards and interacting as a little group.
I don't think I ever saw any of them backbite each other and show anything other than support. That was a RARITY compared to most any other cast. How nice it would have been to explore that.
And I second airing unedited reunions online. I would so sit and watch it all.

The Reunion Show you didn't see was largely one of coming together at the end, somewhere around hour four of taping. Maria did a nice job of bringing closure, but that really was a different story line than the season's edit, so I don't think the producers wanted to go there. There remain differences among cast members, but I think it was Scott who said that at the end of the day they really were all family, putting aside any single incident, and were there for each other.
It would be nice to Scott Alpert, the MTV EP, for put together a final "daily" which would encompass that last ten minutes of taping. It did all end with hugs.
Here are the facts:
I'm extremely nosy.
It's none of my business.
With that being said, I'm still speculating as to why Ryan and his girlfriend broke up, and I just want to humor myself by coming up with a plausible scenario. In the end, I know that I will never find out, so I am not pushing for an answer. I just feel like speculating, get it?
So I'm wondering if what happened is as follows:
When Ryan went on his first tour of Iraq, I remember he said he didn't have a girlfriend at the time because (basically) he didn't want one while he was away. So I wonder if his going to Iraq had something to do with the break up. Perhaps he told her, she was upset (sad they STILL had to be apart) and they came to the mutual decision that it was best to break up. She shouldn't have to put her life on hold any further, and he should not have any extra "distractions", for lack of a better word, while overseas. If that's the case, I wonder how she feels about Ryan with Baya? Although Ryan never explicitly said that they were a couple. I think he's being very smart and realistic about the future either way, but....
Like I said, just speculating for fun.
I think it was in one of the clips on the reunion show...anyway I just wanted to say that I thought it was way cool to see Katelynn reading JD Robb! I'm a huge fan.
So did I miss something but who exactly is this Brian guy and can I be his friend? He sounds like good times :D
He is a friend of Ryan. I never saw him without a smile on his face.
So did I miss something but who exactly is this Brian guy and can I be his friend? He sounds like good times :D
He was the big guy in the restaurant with them, you see him come in and shake Ryan's hand, and his name is on the screen.
GREAT REUNION!!!!!GREAT HOST!!!!!!!
They all looked so good, it was nice to see some of them in their own environments when they were doing their personal interviews.
I have to say it Ryan looked Hot, so hot want to touch the heiny, LOL! Something about a man in uniform protecting this country ;)
Baya looked so pretty, and I am so happy to know that she is doing so well. Those two look really good together, you can see it in their eyes, they really care for each other. That was my favorite part.
They all seem upset with each other, or at least at Sarah and JD.

I hear ya girl!! :tender:
I'm glad Baya had so much airtime on the reunion. Do the producers realize their mistake?
I think aside from Baya's dance episode...the final episode was her most airtime, no? I could be wrong...but I felt like there was plenty of Baya to go around in the final 2 hours (finale/reunion).
And Baya - the tracks sound hot! I'm impressed! Everyone should most definitely head to iTunes and take a listen. Hype and Around the World are my favorites, but Horizontal Trance sounds like it could be a sick film score.
Maybe you'll soon be producing for some hot shot pop star and make MILLIONS doing so! That'd be sweeeeet.
We finally found out how to pronounce Voce...I was curious, LOL. I was so happy to get a good heart dose of Baya this week...seeing her slide across the floor and into her seat when they were manning thier positions at the card table after implementing the pranks was so cute!!

That was the first thing I thought when they played that clip lol!
I was glad we actually got to see Baya on the reunion, I really wish that they showed her more during the season.

I thought so too! When I saw that, I was like "How can these producers think we wouldn't want to know everything about her? Forget the pranks! She brings all the fun!"
I think it'd be SO fun to have a good old fashioned girls night/sleepover with all of these Brooklyn girls!! I think they're all great.:girl_dance::spruce_up:

I vote for a good old fashioned boys night/sleepover with all the Brooklyn boys. There would be a sign on the door: "Ryan's clubhouse. Boys only! No girls allowed!" We could drink a keg of beer, play strip pool, and have "Chef" tell risque stories. Good times.
I'm not meaning to talk about you in the 3rd person above, I know you're here. lol.
Just wanted to note that I completely understand why a "right to know" attitude would **** you off. If I were in your shoes and was called out like that I'd be pretty livid. I'm not saying that I would have stopped the conversation if I was in your situation (in fact I know I wouldn't have), but I still wonder why you didn't?
I'm asking because I've got my own ideas on why that are based on how I would feel (****ed, yet thinking "too late now", mixed with a little "let's get this over with"). No?
I went into the house knowing that my story was going to be exposed to the world, one way or another. While Ryan's "right to know" attitude made me mad enough to want to murder him, which can be evidenced as I previously stated in my facial expression, he was a means to an end for me; a way to reach his "demographic" through education. That's why I did not stop the conversation. Not just that, but could imagine how damaging that would be to the Trans community if I held back? With the way editing was done it could've been shown that I was somehow not secure with myself, my past, or my circumstances, which could not be further form the truth.
If my story was going to be made a spectacle of, I was at least going to have a guiding hand in the content.
Serious Question for Katelyn, when you were being solo interviewed in the reunion footage, what wallpaper was that in your background?
It looked like some yellowish plasma display on the monitor, looked impressive.
It's an abstract Dual-Monitor set I think I picked up from Eyecandy for your KDE-Desktop - KDE-Look.org. If you really, really want it send me a PM with your e-mail addy and I'll send it to you.
They never showed how sexy my computer setup was, or the fact that between my boyfriend and I we have seven computers. I am, however, thankful they left out the footage of us playing World of Warcraft.

Much <3 here Kathleen. I have all 25,000 books from the "In Death" series. Even though they're the Danielle Steele version of Murder Mystery, they're my guilty pleasure. I enjoy her grandiloquent writing style and her odd obsession with canapés. And don't even get me started on the love scenes with Roarke. Those scenes have been the fuel to many spontaneous moments with my boyfriend, hah!

Very good points, especially re: the Trans community. I didn't even think to consider that.
I think what disappoints me about the whole thing is what Baya said during the reunion about sharing your journey BEFORE you decided to switch genders. In my opinion, I think that is what people like Ryan have the most trouble coming to terms with (as guys, not being able to imagine not having their *****...eyeroll). Additionally, what was shown of your conversation centered around the surgery itself and creating the parts. Ryan's reactions, the "Ugggg! Ahhhh! uhhhh!" were very typical, and I can only imagine that anyone else like him was reacting the same way. So in the end I feel like BMP did a diservice to you and the Trans community by focusing on those elements when there was a real opportunity to break some ground right there. In your next talk with Chet they did the same thing--focused on your stents. There is obviously way more to your story than the surgery and recovery time.

Katelynn, I'm trying to understand. It was your perception of Ryan's attitude at the moment that you objected to, but it was not having that part of your story said in front of the camera. Is that right? Do you think Ryan was uncaring in his motivation and methodology or was he just not as sensitive to the matter as you believe he should have been? Isn't it a reasonable interpretation that Ryan could have been trying the best way he knew how to break down the barrier he believed existed between you and the others who had not been told directly yet? My speculation is that he is not a deliberately uncaring person, but he can easily come across that way.
Didn't like JD from the first day, still don't like him. I thought it was funny when he said "I cant even go to the super market without getting recognized." and everyone else said they barely got recognized. I think this real world was based on Ryan and Katelynn and the rest of the mates were like support.
Ehh, was a good one to me.

He has a distinctive face, and not necessarily in a good way.

JD is recongnized by many people because he got lots of camera time for his crazy antics. Breaking tables, ripping phone out the wall, outing Katelyn, lying/ gossiping.
I really did not care for Ryan at all. Ryan is a jerk. He act like his words are the gospel and everyone else words are bull shit. He is so confused. I love Katelyn she stood up for the transgender community. Go Kate!!!!:yess:

I actually like Ryan...maybe not agree with all of his opinions but overall I think he is a good guy. Kate is awesome and a strong person....she plays video games which instantly makes me like her lol
