The girl from St Louis also posted on Bunim-Murray's Facebook so you in LA next week maybe? I'm new on this so whats the rule, they aren't allowed to let anyone know how far they've made it? If so then wow...what a dumb girl to make it to finals and then f it up.

Let's just say that the other people I know to be in the semifinals and/or finals stopped talking about their place in the process quite a while ago.
Not smart Ayah, not smart...
How do you know you made it to finals
You get a call or an email from someone saying "Congratulations! You've made it to the finals!"
Are they still sending people to the finals from the e-mails
No. You have probably been out of the running for about a month.
I see the Jersey Shore trend will be diffused with this season, also a little bit of Bad Girls Club in it. It should be interesting. But Vh1 is working on this party sorority/fraternity show... I always wanted to see what goes on in those houses..
How long do you usally wait to hear back for doing a video. Do you get a VIP if they like you for your videotape .
If you're wondering about this coming season, finals were this week and if the cast hasn't already been chosen they will be in the next few days.
Just put it this way. I went pretty far in the casting process this year and you can't anticipate what they're looking for. People dominated the room and got asked. I hit on the casting director and got a pass. And I saw people sit back and just had such an alluring presence that a lot of the conversations shifted towards him. There is no way to beat it and no way to anticipate whether you'd get it or not so just be yourself.

To answer this question the video can take anywhere from a week to months to years it depends when they're casting.
[strike]How do they go by saying what made it on the real world show do they call or email you[/strike]
How do they tell you if you made it on the show? Do they call or email you?

News like that would never be delivered via email. They might actually do it in person.
On Bunim-Murrary they say now cating. Since real world 25 is locked does this mean that there taking videos for 26 .
Yes. As far as I know, BMP started doing rolling casting admissions.
[strike]So i know this has probally been asked before so excuse me for being redundant, but when do you guys think the ideal time to send in a tape is, in october, when casting is supposed to be starting or before.
I asked BMP on their twitter if for example a video was sent in prior to the casting starting would it get the same amount of attention or*remembered* when casting starts, and same goes as if you send one in when casting begins, will it get over looked because casting has began. I know it sounds confusing how im wording it but, ive been unsuccessful in my attempts to audition and i do not want to miss the boat on 26, since it may be the last.
Season 24- I sent in my email when the casting calls were over * My fault*
Season 25- i kept checking BMP website for the baltimore casting calls, i thought it would be best to attend an in person audition, needless to say i never saw one for baltimore ( dont think they had one) and was forced to send in an email the absolute last day they had an open casting, which im sure they had already began 2nd rounds at the point.
ive had bad luck with this and i want to be absolutley sure i give myself the best chance i can on my part
I will really appreciate your guys responses
Thanks

So I know this has probably been asked before so excuse me for being lazy and not reading through all the posts and most likely being redundant, but when do you guys think is the ideal time to send in a tape? When casting is supposed to be starting, or before?

You and me both.
Since Season 25 will start filming on July 1st it would most likely last 4-5 months. In regards to Season 26, I would send stuff in around... October. If your more of a people's person you should really go to casting call. If you send in a video their are two different areas where your video will go. On their website you send to Real World Casting...if you make it farther in the process you send it to a specific person. Im very sure this will be a party season think summer weather, hot attitudes, bodies and A LOT OF CONTROVERSY. For the future I guess think of what character they might stereotype you as. But this season im felling the Jersey Shore vibe. Also characters like that big mouth chick discussed earlier.....get ratings, and will expose herself to the max. As in the male guy that thinks he is the ish.
At the casting call application when they ask why do you want to be on the real world how many answers can you give them
I don't think you'd want to give them every reason under the sun as to why you want to be on the show. Keep it short and to the point. Nobody likes a rambler.
And for future reference, when asking a question, use proper punctuation. The question mark, or ?, works quite well and makes it obviously known you would appreciate a response instead of simply making a statement.

I figured I'd share this, I found it helpful as to what they may be looking for on an open casting call. Enjoy :)

IF the take the best collective group of eight in the finals...
then why on the first episodes show them meeting each other, wouldnt they have met each other then? is it staged? or is who ever said they take best collective group wrong?[/strike]
So if they take the best collective group of eight in the finals, then why on the first episode, when they are meeting it each other, wouldn't they have met each other before? Is it staged? Or is the person who said that wrong?
Normally they would keep all the possible cast members away from each other, so you will not know who they are. Im sure if some show up and hour before or walk around they will find other possible cast. Think of it as a internship interview for a job in a office building.

Also from what Ive gathered there is eight semi-finalist groups and the best one from each group is chosen for the show.
