Entourage

I hear Hung is quite good. I really can't add anymore shows to my schedule, UGH...I'm already watching way too much!
I am going to try and watch this tonight, but lately I have been catching it on my DVR a few days after it airs. I can tell how much I am into a certain show by how long I let it languish on my DVR. Entourage once was live, then next day and now it is slipping a bit further. The last few weeks I have seen the previews and thought to myself, "Meh." To be honest, I think quality HBO and Showtime series like Entourage are better enjoyed as a complete set via Netflix as you never get a rhythm going watching the story arc in 30 minutes clips...

I watched the first 5 seasons of this show over a 3 week period a couple months ago and was addicted, but watching this new season week by week is kind of ruining it for me. I'm thinking of waiting for the full season to air next time and watching it all at the end if I can resist temptation.

I thought it was a great episode and I was just getting a feel for it, when BAM! Credits. I had to take a quick look at the clock as I couldn't believe it was over as things were finally picking up. I think Entourage is affected more than other shows by the half hour format as it takes them 10 minutes just to set the table each week. Unlike some shows with a big opening, Entourage always starts out with a mellow mood and the gang just chumming around. That only leaves so much time for story. Anyway, that Ashley chick needs to go. I am glad I am not the only one who does not like her, although I was happy last night that he finally put his foot down concerning the way Sloan was playing things (so I guess Ashley did bring about positive change.) Sloan wanted to have her cake and eat it too. If Eric ever really wants to get back with her, he first has to put a stop to that mindset - and I think he did. p.s. I did the same thing with the first 5 seasons.
Ashley is SO ANNOYING! The Ari/Lloyd stuff is really good! I like it! This show is way better on DVD, cuz I agree, the episodes are waaay too short!
Ashley is SO ANNOYING!
Agreed. We really saw her true colors last night. I am glad that Eric finally made the right call. Hopefully he goes for the assistant as I think she would be perfect for him.
The Ari/Lloyd stuff is really good! I like it!
It is going to be interesting to see how they keep up the interaction now that Lloyd is no longer working directly for Ari. Overall, I thought it was a solid episode last night. It is too bad there are only two left!
I totally agree...I missed last week but I am curious to see how the whole Lloyd thing will work out. I am still upset he left!
The finale was really good! Entourage REALLY needed a good season, cuz I was starting not to care. But this season pulled me back in!
The finale was really good! Entourage REALLY needed a good season, cuz I was starting not to care. But this season pulled me back in!
The finale was somewhat redeeming and I was happy to see Eric and Sloan get together - but overall I was disappointed with the direction of the season. Can you imagine the look on Adrian Grenier's (Vince) face when he got the script? Girl is on top of you having sex. You are on the phone with Eric. "Ya E. Talk later." Adrian: That seems like an ok scene. Did I misplace the rest of the episode 1 script? Producer: Oh, Vince that is not 1 scene from episode 1. That is your entire season 6 script... Anyway, the ratings were good and there will be plenty more Entourage, but I want to see more purpose (i.e. trying to win an oscar, working on a movie, etc.) as these one off go no where episodes (until the very end) did nothing for me.
The finale was great! Though I wish E would have stayed on the plane while Sloan watched him leave!! LMAO. I am dying though, cause I really want Turtle and Jaime to be together, that was the only sad part for me! I have to say Lloyd are Ari were AMAZING this season. They kept me into it when a couple of the episodes dragged. I cannot wait to see what happens with the agency now...hopefully one day I can buy out my company and go around shooting paintballs at people, it's my new aspiration in life! LOL
Yeah, I liked the Lloyd/Ari stuff too! And B, I agree somewhat. Like, the whole point of Entourage is to be light, funny, and show a life most will never lead. However, 5 seasons deep (5? i forgot..), I would like to see a little bit of development/purpose. Oscar buzz would be great, actually! And honestly, I was a little bummed that the Scorsese shoot didn't really make the show...it was just an in-between seasons sort of thing.

Does anybody have any clue when season 7 will start? This series is literally my life lol.
I remember seeing June 27th as the official date.

This season has so far been good! What I like the most is Ari's storyline (probably bias). A lot of people think that the head of big empires/companies don't deserve as much as they are getting paid. Which I disagree with in some degree. Ari has to give up his life for the company, while an assistant goes home after 5PM. The whole company is on his shoulders, and it's a lot of responsibilities. Let's not even talk about the politics behind running a business!
The acting debut
Wow! Impressive. At this rate he might work his way up to cheapbooks commercials in no time! :wink2:
He can only hope to excel as fast as Nehemiah and Johanna.

LOL! I love you guys :-)
This season is a bit predictable. I think I called Vince going to rehab about 2 weeks ago. Seems to be the next logical step... 'Entourage' Ending In 2011, Movie Possible
What does everybody think about this season? I think it's way better than last season. I think that the substance abuse storyline was way over due.
What does everybody think about this season? I think it's way better than last season. I think that the substance abuse storyline was way over due.
I think that the show is too full of itself and that was reflected in the finale, which was a parade of distractions (otherwise known as cameos) that left the obvious plot muddied. It was clear from the beginning of this arc that Vincent would either get busted by the cops or have some sort of life threatening OD (that was the only guessing game) and everything else was fluff that didn't really go anywhere (although maybe they are saving all the dangling threads for the shortened final season.) The only part of the finale that I connected with was Ari's marital issues, which I will admit offered some sad and touching scenes. Beyond that, it was a cameo carnival (and the majority of the cameos offered up some really, really bad acting - i.e. Mark Cuban should stick to basketball and his media ventures.) I still like the show, but at the same time I'm glad it is ending soon.
Just finished this season finally!!!! I really liked it, and strangely enough I found Vince a lot more tolerable than in past seasons I agree with you Bacchus the Ari storyline was hard for me to watch, I love him and his wife's character dynamic so much, hopefully it works out...
The final season of Entourage, starts tonight! I love summer Sunday night TV.
