Season 1 is finished. Now, I need to get my hands on 2.
I think season 2 is my favorite. By then you know all the characters well enough to appreciate the humor that much more.
As for last night's episode, I guess the theme was "Ari the mentor" as you had him offering advice to Turtle, Eric and Lloyd (along with a scene of him reading to his son.)
Speaking of Turtle, poor guy. He only got a Ferrari and a Porche for his birthday. I'm sure I'd be bummed too if I didn't get a house thrown in as well.
I don't like the new girl Eric is doing at all. She just irks me. More so than Bow Wow. Actually, every time I see Bow Wow, I think of the time he got Punk'd.
Overall it wasn't a stand out episode, but the story has moved forward so hopefully next week brings a little more fire.

I'm not a big fan of E's new girl either. I like Jamie Lynn Discala a lot. I hope something awesome happens for Lloyd. It has to!

Just watched it...ehhhh.
I agree I don't like his girl or Bow Wow, they need to get E better supporting characters stat!
I think they are setting up for good storylines, but they are not there yet! I really think LLoyd is Stealing the show this season! He cracks me up!

I love Lloyd. Him and Ari are the best!
I liked last Sunday's episode. I also just found out that Turtle and Jamie are actually dating in real life.
I definitely think that Lloyd is stealing the season as well.
I think that Eric's 12 year old girlfriend is strange and I'm totally waiting for the storyline where he discovers that she's 17.
I also just found out that Turtle and Jamie are actually dating in real life.
Whhhhhaat?
Ok, I think I am going to start taking acting lessons...
Yes!
She said they met through HBO parties (as she used to be on the Sopranos) and they "fell in love".
Apparently they've been dating since last October or so.
The person that Turtle is based on passed away. Does anyone think they will deal with that on the show?
That is a tough call being they didn't pay him for his character and I am not sure what legal president it would set for his family if they did make a postmortem admission as such.
Donkey and Wahlberg had a falling out earlier this year because Carroll claimed Wahlberg never paid him for appropriating his life story for “Entourage.” He said all the other real-life characters had been “taken care of” but that he’d been cut out. “I love him a lot,” Wahlberg told the Inside Track at the time. “But when a guy reaches a certain age, he’s gotta start taking responsibility. He doesn’t want to work, he wants to rap.”
Donny and Vince are clearly nothing alike! Vince would have given him a cut and a third exotic car. :D

Yeah it will be when the school's office calls E because she has been skipping school !! LOL
Last night's episode, Thoughts??
I am seriously loving Jamie Lynn and Turtle!
Ari stepping up this season with feelings! I am digging that too! Even tho he's in trouble with Mrs. Ari right now.
Can I also say that I am not feeling the Drama set up kiss with Jaime Lynn...I understand it's Hollywood and all (or that this is fiction for that fact) but I just don't like it, I hope they don't take this storyline down a bad path.
I thought this week was better than last week, but I also feel that the story is starting to stall. Where is this all headed? Eric is done with his business. Vince is not doing anything for 3 months (which is rough being the show in the past was 98% based around finding him a job or dealing with his job) and although I love Johnny, there is only so much of his sideshow storyline that I can take.
I do like Jamie Lynn and Turtle (although I still can't believe she is dating him for real) and was happy that we got to see some of the old Ari last night. Plus the scenes with David Schwimmer were great.
But, I am still a bit concerned right now. The show lacks purpose.

I'm glad you said this, it is what I was trying to say, only I didn't make any sense! :fool:
loved, loved last night's episode!
I really liked the storyline with Tom Brady and Turtle!
I hate that Mrs. Ari still has Ari in the doghouse... : (
Lloyd and Drama with the same outfit...hilarious!
Thoughts?!!?
loved, loved last night's episode!
I enjoy every episode of Entourage, but some are better than others. I still feel like we are missing purpose in the current season. While the storyline is focusing on Eric, I don't feel that the other characters are really going anywhere.
Sure, I am all for Eric getting back with Sloan - but beyond that, what else is happening?
For this show to be a huge success again, it needs to have a point. A season long arc that will payoff the viewers. Right now I can't even fathom what that arc could be as it feel like they are doing one off episodes.
They need to get back to Vince. He was always the centerpiece of the series and by straying too far from that fact they have somewhat lost the essence of Entourage.
Of course, I am the eternal pessimist so read too much into my negativity. It is still one of the best dramas on TV today.
Yes Bacchus, I am with you! I enjoy every episode, this one is the best to me this season.
Does it seem that this season is dedicated to building stronger relationships to the supporting cast? We've seen more and more of the supporting cast with Vinny Chase in limbo then any of the other seasons - IMO.
E with love triangle
Turtle with Jamie Lynn
Drama with his show
Ari with Gary Cole's character
and Lloyd with this potential promotion.
I get over the Vince with any girl he wants deal real quick. We get it, he can and does get any girl...probably even me...if this were real! LOL jk.
There needs to be a shake up to bring him back to the spotlight. While I enjoy all the world around him...in the show, it should still revovle around Vinny Chase! :)
Last nights episode felt like such a filler.
It feels like this season is on a path to nowhereville quickly.
any thoughts for last night's episode?? Is anyone even watching this season, besides Bacchus and I ??? LOL
Last nights episode felt like such a filler.
I agree. They save the"big moment" for the last 30 seconds and then fade to black. The other 29+ minutes is just filler.
At least Eric is done with what's her name. On to Sloan...
Is anyone even watching this season, besides Bacchus and I ??? LOL
The ratings show that more people are watching Hung than Entourage. If it keeps going like it is going I don't see a bright ratings future.
The season season is half over and almost nothing has happened.
I am going to try and watch this tonight, but lately I have been catching it on my DVR a few days after it airs.
I can tell how much I am into a certain show by how long I let it languish on my DVR. Entourage once was live, then next day and now it is slipping a bit further. The last few weeks I have seen the previews and thought to myself, "Meh."
To be honest, I think quality HBO and Showtime series like Entourage are better enjoyed as a complete set via Netflix as you never get a rhythm going watching the story arc in 30 minutes clips...

I completely agree. I watched the first 5 seasons of this show over a 3 week period a couple months ago and was addicted, but watching this new season week by week is kind of ruining it for me. I'm thinking of waiting for the full season to air next time and watching it all at the end if I can resist temptation.

Last night was another fine example. I thought it was a great episode and I was just getting a feel for it, when BAM! Credits. I had to take a quick look at the clock as I couldn't believe it was over as things were finally picking up.
I think Entourage is affected more than other shows by the half hour format as it takes them 10 minutes just to set the table each week. Unlike some shows with a big opening, Entourage always starts out with a mellow mood and the gang just chumming around. That only leaves so much time for story.
Anyway, that Ashley chick needs to go. I am glad I am not the only one who does not like her, although I was happy last night that he finally put his foot down concerning the way Sloan was playing things (so I guess Ashley did bring about positive change.) Sloan wanted to have her cake and eat it too.
If Eric ever really wants to get back with her, he first has to put a stop to that mindset - and I think he did.
p.s. I did the same thing with the first 5 seasons.
Ashley is SO ANNOYING!
Agreed. We really saw her true colors last night. I am glad that Eric finally made the right call. Hopefully he goes for the assistant as I think she would be perfect for him.
The Ari/Lloyd stuff is really good! I like it!
It is going to be interesting to see how they keep up the interaction now that Lloyd is no longer working directly for Ari.
Overall, I thought it was a solid episode last night. It is too bad there are only two left!
The finale was really good! Entourage REALLY needed a good season, cuz I was starting not to care. But this season pulled me back in!
The finale was somewhat redeeming and I was happy to see Eric and Sloan get together - but overall I was disappointed with the direction of the season.
Can you imagine the look on Adrian Grenier's (Vince) face when he got the script?
Girl is on top of you having sex. You are on the phone with Eric.
"Ya E. Talk later."

Adrian: That seems like an ok scene. Did I misplace the rest of the episode 1 script?
Producer: Oh, Vince that is not 1 scene from episode 1. That is your entire season 6 script...
Anyway, the ratings were good and there will be plenty more Entourage, but I want to see more purpose (i.e. trying to win an oscar, working on a movie, etc.) as these one off go no where episodes (until the very end) did nothing for me.
The finale was great! Though I wish E would have stayed on the plane while Sloan watched him leave!! ****.
I am dying though, cause I really want Turtle and Jaime to be together, that was the only sad part for me!
I have to say Lloyd are Ari were AMAZING this season. They kept me into it when a couple of the episodes dragged. I cannot wait to see what happens with the agency now...hopefully one day I can buy out my company and go around shooting paintballs at people, it's my new aspiration in life! LOL
