Carley helped him play an under the radar game.

Carley helped him play an under the radar game.

They were afraid to against the stronger teams on that season, Wes screwed his own alliance because he was afraid to go against Kenny and Laurel and Pete and Jillian

People will watch the next season even if it only has Josh, Kaycee, Nany, Devin, Aneesa and Tori + a bunch of random international rookies and Tiktokers/influencers.

A season shouldn't have more than 28 people + alternates unless it's a Battle of the Seasons format.

Carley helped him play an under the radar game.

What are you talking about?  Landon was never under the radar.   Paula called out Luke because he said he was cramping.  Then Wes/Evelyn told Ryan/Jenn to target CJ/Danny because they felt Landon could help them more.  Landon/Carley were one of the only teams to win a mission other than Kenny/Laurel when they won the second one.  They were never "under the radar".   Just because Danny's an idiot and said he was worried about Landon in a final doesn't mean he's right.

Well, he was right to be worried given Landon won.

The Wes vs Kenny numbers game was going to be a thing regardless. After seeing what Landon pulled off in that night exile where his partner was delirious to the point of being blacked out the whole way - I mean, she was gone - there is no way I'm going along with the idea that Landon wouldn't have made it far without Carley. Girls could have replaced her. A strong girl? Then they're coming back from exile. Hell, even if he had that Sandy girl, he could have dragged her little a#$ and she could have solved the puzzles. Done deal.

You're right. Landon is a goat. What benefited him the most was being on a season where two big dogs had such tunnel vision to take each other out.

Oh, agree.  Mandi had endurance, Sandy was smart and I think Sydney was at least solid (she threw the elimination so who knows) but he'd have done fine with them.  Landon & Laurel together is terrifying.

Changing the subject a bit would I would have loved to have seen Mandi get a chance to run a final with a strong male partner.

the season was really evelyn vs kenny but wes vs kenny fit the storyline better

I mean, it was better marketing as these two were the bigger names around that time

evelyn was just as big as them wym.

Ijs she did majority of the leg work for their alliance.

Wes and Kenny were bigger than Evelyn. Wes's romance with Johanna, Kenny betraying Wes hooking up with Johanna, that is why they had FM2 with them two and marketed as a Wes vs Kenny. It sells way more than Evelyn being a grouch.

Very very true.  Evelyn was the brains and muscle.

Evelyn was a weak *****.

Evelyn was a weak *****.

why didn't you like her?

Evelyn was a weak *****.

why didn't you like her?

She was bland, uniteresting, and joyless. Great competitor but she just did not click with her personality to me honestly.

Oh and she was Fresh Meat and back then I hated them all. Still kinda do...well at least the ones who became regulars..mostly.

Ive acknowledged that storyline wise it made sense. But please dont act like Evelyn wasnt a big name back then. Believe it or not, she was just as big as kenny/wes in that era. In that era Wes didnt even do alot of seasons ... FM2 was only his 4th season.

Yeah, but remember Wes came from RW Austin which was a big season for the series. Ev was big, but the selling point was not Ev.

But to your first initial point - I get you meant that Ev was running the strategy. Yeah, you were right about that.

I liked her and didn't find her boring but she was grouchy at times for sure

Whether anyone wants to admit it or not Final Reckoning really is a top 5 season. It had so many elements/dynamics/storylines. I recently watched it and it was like a really good scripted show. Half the shit that happened you legit can't make up.

just look at the dynamics between Melissa/Kailah, Natalie/Kam, Natalie/Kayleigh, Paulie/Zach/Brad/Kyle, Tori/Jozea/Da'Vonne Da'Vonne/Shane, Lavender Ladies/Young Buck, Bananas/Devin, Marie/Faith/Angela, Angela/Kayleigh, Cara Maria/Paulie/Kyle, Angela/Kam, Amanda/Cara Maria, Tony/Cory/Bananas/Devin, Ashley/Hunter

Every cast member was involved in something some way and somehow. That's how every season should be. It is the ideal season to binge.

I wouldn't ever say a top 5, but I've been saying that season is a blast to binge. It might be my guilty pleasure season because the format is such a mess, the last episode is like a chaotic but hysterical movie scene in hell, and you have Shane arguing in a helmet to grow his hair. lmao.

Definitely better to binge than watch live.   Could have been a great season if there was no redemption house, even partnering, and a simple format

Finall people are getting it. I've been saying since it aired that Final Reckoning is an amazing season.

I liked her and didn't find her boring but she was grouchy at times for sure

I found Evelyn to be intense and interesting. Fans were back-and-forth on her. I remember she was hated after Coral tore into her on the Gauntlet 3 reunion for being a traitor to women. Right after on the Island, Johnny was so insufferable that she became the outcast to root for. People were put off by her attitude towards Luke on Fresh Meat 2. On Rivals 1 she was lowkey and fine.

Anyway, long live the visor. Female G.O.A.T.

I want to see jenny back

Unpopular opinions:

The best and most entertaining season of the Challenge is the Duel II.

The most underrated and entertainng season is Battle of the Seasons II  (2012)

The finals that I re-watch the most are Cutthroat and  Battle of the Seasons II (2012). And Day 1 of Bloodlines final (super-underrated episode plus no Camilla during the height of the Camilla era-thank God).

Agree with all this but I'll forever be thankful for Evelyn because watching Coral eat her alive at The Gauntlet 3 reunion was one of my favorite moments in the shows history.

Coral ran off then acted bitter after. She wasn't the big dog anymore.

Coral screwed her team in an iconic fashion and will always be a legend for that.

I feel like Josh is the closest thing this show has to a modern cast member with an old school mentality.

New cast members like Josh, Bettina, Jenny West, JD and Colie need to stop copying Sophia.

PK22 sometimes you just do too much.
