I think that is a very good way of explaining things. :) I think that CT kind of likes to get under her skin though and looks for excuses for him and Diem to interact on the challenge, whereas she wants to try to avoid it for the reasons you stated.

I think your right that there will probably always be some feelings there. It has to be weird for Diem to have been so vulnerable with someone on national television and had a relationship that came out of it, then to have aspects of their breakup documented on TV and then getting back together for Battle of the Exes after not speaking for a few years. I mean these are things that for most normal people are kept SUPER PRIVATE and these moments have been on TV. Really? If her and Mr. Soleimani were so " Seriously Close ", Why hasn't he moved to NY or vice Versa? Not because of a Job, because if he loved her that much that wouldn't matter and the only reason Diem moved to NY was to be close to her Doctor for her Fertility stuff- which is over.... I didn't know until the past couple of weeks that he had any interest in Vevmo. Diem shared that info with me recently. He is, of course, a private person for whom I can't speak.
Diem moved to NY before she was diagnosed with her second invasive cancer. She moved to take advantage of Relay Health's support for MedGift. My company and I are also dedicated to helping her make MedGift a very successful way for needy patients and available resources to connect.

But I never said anything in my post comparing Diem and CT's relationship to Diem's relationship with her most recent ex so not sure why that is something your defending in response to my post. Confused. I was also talking about CT and Diem more in the past tense of how serious it was in the past, which it was fairly serious I would say if she was thinking about marriage, and then I went on to speculate on the present status of CT and Diem's relationship, which I think could possibly be a friendship but just a friendship that neither CT or Diem will talk about much. I never spoke about the validity or how important any of Diem's relationships have been to her since CT. I never even mentioned that. I also speculated (only speculation mind you) that there are still some feelings of attraction between CT and Diem but I never said that CT and Diem's relationship is in a serious phase or more or less important than Diem's relationship with someone else. It seems you are awfully defensive about something you don't need to be defensive about. It seems like you would be really disappointed if Diem even so much as hinted that she even had the smallest of friendships with CT (not even a relationship), that would probably really irk you for some reason. Why?
The only real point I was trying to make is that there is a connection between CT and Diem...I mean that is no secret and that is something that they have even stated themselves in the ET article at the beginning of the season. The relationship Diem has with her most recent ex could very well be the strongest relationship that she has...I have no clue...but that does not negate that Diem did have something with CT in the past and that it probably does mean something to both CT and Diem. When I say that it means something I in no way am implying it means something as in they will get back together....no....but I am just saying that he did help her through a tough time in her life, as did probably several other people, and so those connections will probably always mean something to Diem. Am I saying that the connection from the past to CT means more to Diem than her relationship with her current ex...no, not necessarily...I am just saying that it means something to her is all...doesn't mean nothing to her. It could just mean that she will always think of certain people as life-long friends...that type of connection.
Also most people if they are going through tough issues with a current boyfriend or girlfriend, whatever the case may be, and the relationship is just on hold for awhile until they can get back together, well that is something that the person would kind of keep private, especially since Diem and this ex's relationship was not on television and they seem like a much more private thing than CT and Diem.
When it comes to cast members Twitter accounts, I do think MTV has some rules for them, such as do not give away spoilers and maybe some other rules as well that I don't know about, but I highly doubt that anyone from MTV stands over the shoulders of the cast members to monitor every little thing that gets posted on Twitter to make sure it goes along with the exact storyline that MTV wants to present or meets some super strict guidelines. These people are not robots.

I assume its the latter. Which leads me to believe they are acting. This Ct and Diem relationship BS has a big following and I am sure the producers depend on their interactions to attract some viewers.

I'm pretty invested in the whole CT/Diem story, but I'm also confused at this point. Because of their history, and after hearing Mark talk about them on Afterbuzz various times in what seemed like a positive, honest, and genuine manner, I find it hard to believe that they're acting. Plus, they aren't actors, as far as I know. I think much of it has to do with the edit that they get.
Personally, I think that V1's interview with Diem coupled with how Chris and Diem react at the reunion will be the most telling and give people a better idea of where they stand.

Does anybody have any idea or clues to who the two girls are?
My guess is that it is Theresa and Diem.
I watched the clip several times and paused it. I noticed that the two chicks were darker skinned and I also noticed that the girl that was being held down or controlled by the other girl looked to have short hair.
The chick getting "beaten" could have been a girl who had her hair pulled back but, when people are wresting and being tossed around, hair tends to fall loose. I did not see loose hair on this girl, so that leads me to believe that it was Diem because Diem has short hair and her skin is relatively tan.
I doubt the "fight: was serious because no one seems to be breaking it up and they seemed to almost be cheering. Maybe Theresa challenged Diem to a wrestling match and Diem agreed and then got her *** handed to her, but it was just for fun or to let out steam because Theresa did say she wanted to "**** her up" Maybe they thought it would be best to let out their aggression with a good ole' fashioned wrestling match.
Usually I could not see Diem agreeing to anything like this. However, V1man did say that Diem was going to do and say some things that were going to surprise us. (or something along those lines)

[FONT=Century Gothic]This may not be the answer you are looking for but CT currently is in a web sitcom called Cheers to New Friends - The Series.
Acting on the Challenges? I'm neutral. I think Diem and CT are very aware of the need to maintain high profiles now after doing these shows for so many years. For Diem, it seems to further her work of Medgift. CT appears to earn a lucrative living doing personal appearances based on being CT from MTV. We see on this site, social media, articles/interviews, etc. how their interactions support a continued elevation of recognition. So many people root for/against them and try to follow their doings both professionally and personally.
The edits on Rivals II have been different for the two of them, at least in my opinion. I think CT is portrayed less as the unbeatable alpha male and more as the Ultimate Cad (real or imagined) and Diem is portrayed as a stronger player then she has been in the past (I'm not saying she is, I'm just saying she comes across as actually playing the game this season). They came across as believable and sincere in The Duel I. I think in Battle of the Exes they also came across as more real. Here, not really. Rather than acting, I think it's more a function of their stations in life these days versus the past. [/FONT]

My (educated?) guess would be that this belongs in the fantasy thread. I really have no idea since I know when not to ask questions when things come my way. It's in the same category as never asking about winners or the order of elimination.

There are definitely things that confuse me as well about the whole CT/Diem thing. I went back and read her first blog again about feelings for CT coming back during the challenge and it seemed sincere to me. I can't see Diem planning ahead of time that she is going to act like she has feelings for CT again just so when the season airs that she could write a blog like this. She was diagnosed with cancer for the second time and she says that she fell back on things that gave her comfort. I have to believe that is sincere coming from her. Now when it comes to CT and whether all of his interactions with Diem are sincere, that is where I am more confused. When Diem and CT were walking to the club after she took her wig off and he was smiling at her as Marlon hugged her, that seemed pretty real to me. I also thought when CT and Diem talked in the closet that it seemed real, as well as when he was cheering her on as she danced. However, a moment that seemed like it could have been acted was when CT was circling Diem and she said to him, your circling me like a shark right now. That moment seemed a bit less sincere to me. It could be a combination of real moments and acted moments, lol, as many of these reality shows are, which makes it even harder to decipher between what is real and what is fake. Also I guess I question CT's interactions with Diem more than Diem's interactions with CT because CT has been known more to "act" on these shows in terms of playing up fights or arguments with people and Diem seems to me like she tries to be real on these shows.

I will agree with you on this much, CT's behavior for a man in his early 30s is pretty immature, ha! Having said that, I am still sometimes weirdly fascinated by the guy (I might be crazy myself, haha). I guess because he does make for good television and he does have charisma on camera. Having said that, your right that his behavior is one of a guy who needs to grow up, LOL! As for his switching girlfriends every five seconds, I know he obviously goes through women on the challenge pretty fast but I never really followed CT's personal life in his real life that much, but yeah I assume that your right, that if he treats women the way he does on the challenge that he would also be the type of guy that hooks up with many women in his everyday life as well. Now when it comes to CT and whether all of his interactions with Diem are sincere, that is where I am more confused. When Diem and CT were walking to the club after she took her wig off and he was smiling at her as Marlon hugged her, that seemed pretty real to me. I also thought when CT and Diem talked in the closet that it seemed real, as well as when he was cheering her on as she danced. However, a moment that seemed like it could have been acted was when CT was circling Diem and she said to him, your circling me like a shark right now. That moment seemed a bit less sincere to me. It could be a combination of real moments and acted moments, lol, as many of these reality shows are, which makes it even harder to decipher between what is real and what is fake. Also I guess I question CT's interactions with Diem more than Diem's interactions with CT because CT has been known more to "act" on these shows in terms of playing up fights or arguments with people and Diem seems to me like she tries to be real on these shows.[/QUOTE]
I agree with you that they seem sincere. I watched the afterbuzz when they called Diem and she talked about CT circling her like a shark and I do not think it was acting based on what she said in the interview! They even asked if her it was acting and she said she would love to say yes, but its not and that is her actual life. She said everyone had stayed up all night and were acting really weird since most of them (Diem said she was not) were still hammered, which is why it probably did not seem as sincere as some of their other moments, such as the pool scene.
If I was on a show like this and was asked to have pretend scenes with my ex I would decline because I would want the audience to see what is really going on and I feel Diem would be the same just by seeing the type of person she is.
Just saw the sneak peak and I cant see Theresa's point of view no matter how hard I try. Why is it fair that she's allowed to not have to take the heat for Knight/Preston potentially going in even though thats who she wanted go in? So she's still bitter over the voting next episode and gets to pick the order yet still somehow ends up in elimination, would be funny if they came in last. I'm glad they go home next week Theresa is beyond irritating at this point.

During his stint on The Real World: San Diego he made it his season - all about FRANK SWEENEY. The yelling and screaming was a bit too much and he pushed people away--far, far away. By the end it seemed he learned a lot about himself and being considerate to others. But that was not the case. The die hard and casual fan had enough of Frank and his twitter rants so when rumors spread that he was going to be on the challenge - the uproar began! This can't be, we said-we posted. But it was not rumor it was in fact the truth. Frank takes BOTS: Team San Diego made it's way as a force in the challenge universe showing they had what it took to make it to the top.. which they eventually did! Let's talk about what it took to get there: Frank *****ing when things didn't go his way, belittling his teammates because they did not live up to his standards, and cowering out of elimination rounds - all about FRANK SWEENEY. Once he made it back from Turkey, the social networking attacks continued. Sometime after, Mr. Sweeney said he was disgusted with his behavior on television and made it a learning experience. Even vowing on interviews to be less abrasive, listen more the next time he takes another trip. Did we really believe that? No. About 5 weeks ago, we watched Frank be paired with Johnny over Twitter beef. They were declared Rivals. I assumed we wouldn't be seeing many Frank-Outs this season, but once again, WRONG. CT vs. Frank happened. Of course it did. Judging from the previews he gets into with Jordan next..saw that coming. But good has happened--Frank and JB have done awesome this season--challenge and politics wise. They have the potential to win!!!
I like you. I actually believe you will be a [U]CHALLENGE LEGEND[/U] one day. Just remind yourself that it isn't all about FRANK SWEENEY!

Tonights challenge is funny, theyre playing the boyfriend/girlfriend tag game, where they answer questions about each other based on what the other partner answers. This game is nice for newlyweds or for a bf/gf but Id rather have these ppl answer general knowledge trivia questions, thats always funny.

So many of these fights are bs because if you been following them on twitter, a lot of them are still interacting with each other and still follow each other like nothing happened. I think the only ones are Frank and CT that don't though and still hate each other from their fight. Other than that, all these fights apparently don't seem too serious since they all made up since then
