I'm not laughing, and he's not Frank.
I am wondering why you bother -- more like mildly curious in the moment, really.
Ya I know, I'm just bored. It was funny once, but I sense it's getting old. I think if he never got a reaction out of it, it would have never continued on.
So I just watched that CT and Diem clip and the only thing I can think is, where the h*ll is Diem's top? There is no top visible at around 0:25-0:31. But then you can see she has a bikini top on at 1:01-1:15. However, it looks like it gone again around 1:37-1:41. The bikini top reappears at the end of this clip though. All I kept saying is she must be drunk because her top keeps falling down LOL. Or maybe it's just me. I know she not naked but she looks like it. She even looks like she is trying to cover herself at 1:37.... She has her hand over her chest, wtf! She had to be drunk.
One person asked me if I thought the lives of the romanticists "believers" were perhaps pathetic and that resulted in the fantasy that "CT and Diem" were together. I have no idea.
I'm as happy as many to be done with this topic, but your question about my intention was too enticing to ignore.
Let's say, just for the sake of argument, that this CT/Diem romance was totally manufactured on Rivals II, that everything that was said or done by both CT and Diem was just because they were drunk or trying to play for the camera, but there are still folks on these boards who like the idea of what is represented on TV...which is a courageous girl with cancer who has a guy who she used to date (but just thinks of as a friend now) telling her that she looks great without the wig on....what is so wrong with that? My point is, bypass the posts, let these folks enjoy what is reality for them. Everyone is going to view these shows through a different prism and it's okay.
One could argue this, you say you have gotten negative messages about CT and Diem and people wondering if those rooting for CT and Diem and buying into the "romantic fantasy" have pathetic lives....but that person who sent you that message is judging the lives of other people online whom they have never even met before. One could also argue that those who are bothered by the opinions of the romantics and have to post on message boards rebutting everything the true-believers have to say also need to get lives as well.
Do I believe some things are manipulated for TV....absolutely but I also believe there was at one point a genuine relationship between CT and Diem and that some of that naturally carries over into the challenges in the form of CT and Diem interacting with one another. I in no way think they will ever get back together, nor do I think that would necessarily be the right thing for Diem, but I like the idea that they are friends and I do think (manipulation by MTV or not), the message that is given out that Diem is a very attractive and vibrant woman who has gone through cancer is inspirational. Also MTV is showing that guys (more than one guy on the challenge) find Diem to be very attractive (hair or no hair) and I think that is a great message on a show that can be filled at times with superficial situations.
LOL at people thinking CT is the same in person as he is shown on TV.
There's a reason why insecure people let these challenges affect them outside of the challenges, and we all know who that insecure little ****** is. That's why Zach and Knight don't support him anymore and in this challenge he gets shoved around and cries about it. And then he goes on twitter apologizing for fighting.
You want to know why CT never subtweets frank or even talks about challenges that much? Because he doesn't let them affect his life because he's Chris, but on TV he's CT.
I just find it hilarious how Frank is always b*tching about him on twitter. Guess CT really got inside frank's head making him not want to do another challenge ever again. If this was a Duel, frank would probably quit cause' he can't hang with the big dogs.

Well, as much as I hate to admit it, BMP is attempting to produce the best story line they can to attract viewers. It is a fact that Diem is unhappy with that story line and has complained to MTV about it, but it will not make any difference or result in a new edit of the remaining episodes. She will make the best of it, and CT will enjoy the ride. Chris, however, understands and appreciates why she is not all that happy.

I'm a big Diem advocate and if she's unhappy with how BMP is editing everything, that's unfortunate and I wish that wasn't the case.
At the same time, she and CT weren't forced to interact together or have close moments caught on camera - they willingly did so, drunk or not, medicated or not. I think that Diem was probably in a weird place during this challenge, having just beat cancer a second time. But I also think that there was and is something going on between them. It's evident in the ETOnline clip that was released, and during the interview that went along with it, that they are friendly, at the very least. My guess is that Diem doesn't want her re-connection with CT, however insignificant or important it may be, to be displayed publicly like it has been in the past.
V1, can you comment on whether or not they are fed lines to read during the confessionals/commentaries (whatever they're called)? Because CT saying that there's still something between them... Diem saying that she's confused... That obviously makes BMP's job easier.
Yes, there is a person with the camera crew for the OTF (on-the-fly) interviews who elicits the desired information from the cast member (yes, production knows what it wants from whoever they are interviewing, as the crews are connected to the control room by radio). Generally, the cast member is asked a question and expected to rephrase the question into their answer. With a few experienced cast members, the "talent" will say "What do you need from me?" The PA will say "We need to you talk about your relationship with the women's teams." The really good cast member with then quickly riff in several different ways -- all sound byte length -- on the topic. The overall idea is to try to tell the story with as little later reshooting as possible. Interviews on down days -- check this out later -- are all too often done with the cast in different clothing when interviewed than when the subject matter of the interview actually occurred. BMP has always needed a better (any) continuity focus.

It has been said that she broke up with the long term (much longer than "Chris") boyfriend. I'm sure if that's true, it's not easy to get over quickly. Does Chris understand because she is back with the boyfriend or because he knows she's a nice person that she doesn't want to deceive the public?
Does Chris understand because she is back with the boyfriend or because he knows she's a nice person that she doesn't want to deceive the public?
Yes, we have a winner!
Can we please go on to another conversation, I'm really getting tired of seeing CT/Diem "relationship" talk all up and down this thread. V1 already explained the whole situation numerous times.
Honestly when they first showed the whole CT/Marlon not fight but scuffle, and people were saying it was just a drunk fight to me it was even less than that. It was just a couple of slaps and shoving in a pool... That's like something brothers do to each other, so it's not serious at all, not even a little bit.

Yup, all brought to you by the "Shameless Promotions" department at MTV.

I couldn't have said it better. I think those are probably Diem's feelings....but of course everything is speculation here. I have to agree with skimthrough that CT and Diem were not told by producers to dance together at clubs and they were not instructed you must kiss in the swimming pool....they did that willingly. I mean Diem and CT both must know that MTV producers like to promote the idea of them as a pairing....it's been a running storyline for many challenges. So as much as Diem must have felt like deju vu again, what with going through cancer a second time and being in that exact same situation with CT again on the challenge....if she really did not want the public to get the idea that there is a relationship when there is not, it was probably best she stay away from CT while on the challenge. Now having said that, Diem is only human and I can see how when your put in a house for six weeks with no TV or computers and you have to see your ex-boyfriend all the time and go out to bars that the temptation might be hard to resist but at the same time, if she really did not want the edit to come out the way it did, then stay away from CT. Don't give the producers what they want. I feel CT and Diem both played into the storyline that MTV wanted. Now let's say hypothetically CT and Diem tried not to interact much on the challenge, I bet MTV would have still tried to find a way to edit it like they did interact. Having said that, if Diem and CT had chosen to stay away from one another, MTV might have still tried to manipulate things to look a certain way, but they would have had minimal footage to do that with....they would not have had very much to work with. So while I do understand Diem's feelings, I don't think it's entirely fair to blame MTV entirely for things being made to look a certain way. Also Diem, CT and other cast members I am sure sign certain contracts before they go on challenge that MTV is allowed to manipulate certain scenes or make certain edits to promote a storyline. I mean Diem could refuse to sign that contract I guess or say I want certain things in my contract changed before I will come on, but then I doubt MTV would agree to that, so if Diem wants to be on the challenge, part of the trade-off is knowing certain things will be manipulated to make better TV for the viewing audience. It goes with the territory of being on a reality TV show. I guess I can understand if Diem was uncomfortable with certain things and requested that MTV make certain changes. I might feel the need to do that as well, but I don't think she would have the right to demand it or to sue MTV or anything like that if they refused because of the contract that Diem signs before going on the show. I'm glad that MTV accommodated her though and that it made Diem feel better. Also I am in no way saying Diem wants to sue MTV....lol....just wanted to put that disclaimer out there, just a hypothetical situation I was talking about.

See People Magazine. Link is in the Diem/Aneesa thread.
OMG this situation is so Flipping tiring.
I think CT and Diem are for show. That is it and that is all. It's probably not a popular opinion and maybe even a false one but, I don't care that is what I think.
Diem does not like to be photographed with this dude and hides her face in pics...She doesn't acknowledge the sentiments he post...Because she is over it.
CT posts his little pictures... and his little comments...to keep himself relevant and to make the producers happy.
They (CT and Diem)are so "tired" of talking about the situation but...they keep doing the same stuff. Like WTF? I'm annoyed. This situation is played, tired, and old...She don't want him and he's a *****...NEXT!
Finally someone else who feels the same way I feel. Like people are making the craziest assumptions while, V1 has already told them the entire story numerous times. Like wtf.

Simmer down. The topic had been dropped.
People act like the CT/Diem conversation isn't relevant or on topic, but that's just because they're over it and think it's tired. This comment being a prime example. There is a difference. They were in the trailer and this is the trailer thread. But don't worry, the people who wish to discuss the relationship will hopefully move over to the Diem/Aneesa thread, like others have suggested, so that your forum experience won't be hindered any longer.
Like it may be relevant but, people keep asking the same damn questions and V1 keeps telling them and they're just not listening, but whatever I'm done with this convo about CT/Diem.

No one on this board knows anything about Diem's private life, unless that person is a close friend or family member and a close friend or family member would not come on an Internet message board to reveal all because that would be a betrayal of Diem's trust. It's obvious that this board has some type of secret code where it is assumed that one poster's backside is kissed constantly. It is almost like if we don't suck up to this person then this person who talks to Diem won't come back to the board with what Diem said and post it so everyone can get the scoop. Are we that desperate for information?
ok guys yea the CT/Diem topic keeps getting talked about but its more relevant than the who weighs more than who debate. I keep thinking theres nothing more to it then one of them does something weird but ya people it seems like Diem/CT are going to be a story line all season, I'd rather have that then a story line about their calorie intake vs out take

No we are not that desperate for information and you are totally right, No one does know Diem's private life exactly, I agree that Diem call tell people whatever she wants to tell them and then withhold information that she does not. So I don't believe that she tells ALL of her information in an interview either however, her behavior is weird. If she "liked" CT or had feelings for him like a lot of people think she does then, why doesn't she like to get photographed with him? So she hides in the pictures and he posts old pictures like seriously, WTF? If they have any feelings towards each other I'd say their uncomfortable feelings. I don think she likes him and he doesn't like her either. They play games for television...
Desperate for information? Um Hello I for one can care less, about CT/Diem love life... You're the desperate one for information, you steadily come back for more information and just like you said "no one on this board knows anything about Diem's personal life" so yeah, why your still coming on here as if somebody does know everything about her personal life.

You clearly are unaware that I've been working with the cast from this and numerous other reality shows for over a decade. I do have both a personal and professional relationship with Diem and with many other people. I only post things about cast members that have indicated I may share with readers here. What I post about production techniques and network decision making is based on my own industry experience with several series. I'm frequently contacted and asked to specifically provide an alternative perspective to some misstated information or bogus edit. I've been doing that here since shortly after vevmo was created. I did it for a number of years as the senior moderator. I'm no longer in the reality TV business other than as a investor and developer, but I remain connected to quite a few people in the business.
You don't have to read anything I write. In fact, you don't have to be here at all. When the site owner asks me to stop contributing to vevmo, I will. Until then, I post at his pleasure. Don't take this personally. I almost repost these comments for new people about once per quarter.
On the season preview at the end of the episode, who is kissing in the clip after Teresa and Leroy? I tried to pause it several times and couldn't get it.
