lol...I liked it...to be honest, one of the musical numbers made me cringe (I think it was the first song); that aside, I think Joss could make it big making an online series.

Did anyone see his last episode of HIMYM? It was hilarious when he had his child actor comment :)

Bu..but he was CALEB in Buffy Season 7!
And he's Captain Mal Reynolds from Firefly and Serenity! Captain Maaaaal! haha
I love him. He's a crazy talented actor who hasn't gotten a fair shot yet. He's going to be HUGE. One day...
Andy Hellet died =( He played Lorne on Angel.
So devastating. He was so amazing in that show.

Did you guys hear about the producers of Buffy trying to relaunch it as a movie series, WITHOUT the cast and WITHOUT Joss?

Nope! It didn't work last time, and I doubt it'll work again.
NO JOSS, NO BUFFY

Wow! Tom and Katie look awesome. He hasn't smiled like that since Top Gun and Katie must have been let out of the dungeon because she is glowing and her hair looks almost normal again. I am very happy for them!
p.s. Suri looks like she hasn't aged a day. I guess she has great genes!

I agree why are they even attempting it?

Um...I thought this was very funny. You Buffy fans have no sense of humor, lol. :D
As for Buffy without Joss...
I'll be honest, I am not a fan of his. I saw Firefly the movie and six episodes of Dollhouse. Time I can't get back.
Maybe a director with a more focused vision could do a better job with the material? From the box office pull of Firefly, it is clear Joss having his name attached to a project doesn't equal dollars.
If I owned the rights to the series, I'd probably consider getting someone to guide the script that had a bit more mainstream appeal.
Then again, it really doesn't matter who directs the flick - I won't be watching it on cable. :wink2:

hahahah i just read the tom/katie thing....i think its funny! Alexis is rockin' those shades
B - When a non-Joss Buffy is produced and all said and done and it FAILS MISERABLY....then I'll post in here again asking if Joss' name brings in $ =) (It may not be huuuuge major-studio-worthy $, but there are still crazy loyal fans out there, nonetheless!)
OTHER JOSS NEWS: Cabin in the Woods is filming! Joss isn't directing, but Drew Goddard is! (Goddard did Cloverfield and a bunch of Angel eps)
‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ Reboot Falls Into Development Limbo
So glad this has come to a halt. The only way I'd want a reboot is if Joss and the original cast were involved.

I actually went back and watched Firefly from the beginning when I got my hands on the Blu-ray, which incidentally had the episodes in the correct order as envisioned by Joss (not a small detail). It made a huge difference in how Firefly played out and set up Serenity so that I could fully enjoy it.
Of course, now Joss is huge at the box office (to the tune of half a billion plus for Avengers) so I guess the 2009 version of myself had it all wrong on all accounts. :D

Thank you. I'm glad I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling Summer Glau. She did get the cold shoulder from the TSCC
I've been thinking of giving Firelfy a go. What do you think?

Yes, but watch it from the beginning. It's worth it.
I've been thinking of giving Firelfy a go. What do you think?

Yeah, but you have to watch Firefly from the beginning as Whedon had planned the show to air--not how FOX showed it.
I bought the Firefly series and movie a few years back and never had time to sit down and watch it.....I've watched Buffy & Angel multiple times. Is the DVD set of Firefly in the correct order? I also really want to watch Dollhouse. I remember I saw an episode of it when it was airing because my sister loved it, and I thought it was well done.

Good question. Is it in order on Netflix? I want to make sure I watch it properly.
The order is supposed to be
Serenity (parts 1 & 2)
The Train Job
Bushwhacked
Shindig
Safe
Our Mrs. Reynolds
Jaynestown
Out of Gas
Ariel
War Stories
Trash
The Message
Heart of Gold
Objects in Space
Looks like Netflix has it in the order right
