Ratings don't have to be going down. Take notes BMP.

Are you comparing a channel everyone has with one that is on a pay wall that has been dying for years?

No one has just network tv. You either have cable or nothing

That's a lie…I have a TV with network channels, Fire stick, and streaming services, but I've never paid for cable in my life, and I never will. Like me, there are a lot of people who feel the same way, which is why the ratings have always been separated.

Whatever. My point stands.

Is CBS on cable?

Go eat a male anatomy.

Right because you made a comment lacking logic and unrelated comparison hoping people would be too dumb to recognize the level of stupid displayed.

Lol

MTV in general is just in the gutter, so the Challenge is never going to be enough to "save" it. Whether people have or don't have cable.

If P+ dug further into its archives, that platform would be appealing to more people. Not even half of the content that could be on there is on there. And, that would still require the episodes to put next day (which should still happen regardless)

You guys think this episode will go over 250k? Lol

Y'all can thank will for saving the show with his antics from last week and bringing in the new viewers

To compare:

season 39 episode 3- 290k

season 40 episode 3- 410k

ep 0 - 198k and 0.07 demo

ep 1 - 243k and 0.10 demo

ep 2 - 252k and 0.10 demo

ep 3 - 319k and 0.13 demo

This is how piss-poor the advertising and marketing is for new season's of this show. One quarter of the viewing audience just realized through facebook and word of mouth that a new season is airing.

I know it won't, but this increase should absolutely get something greenlit to film this fall! It makes no sense to waste six months of dead air!

Nvm

 Seasons filmed in the 20 months between October 2021 to July 2023: 7 seasons (AS3, 38, USA1, WC, AS4, USA2, 39). 1 season filmed every 2.86 months on average.

Seasons filmed in the 12 months between July 2023 and July 2024: 2 seasons (40 and AS5). 1 season filmed every 6 months on average.

If All Stars 6 or 42 doesn't film until this March: Seasons filmed in 20 months between July 2024 and March 2026: 2 or 3 seasons (41 and AS6 and/or 42). 1 season filmed every 10 months or 6.67 months on average.

SAD! Wtfruitfly happened to the average! Keep pumping these out!!! The ratings are good enough!

Fruitfly

it's already been announced that the merger won't impact MTV (in terms of it being sold). i have to imagine they're going to film something before the end of the year (prob All Stars in like mid-October)

Getting an All-Stars out is really not hard. The casts are always 26 or less. Don't need a massive house. They only film for 5 weeks/12 episodes. Only need to build 10 dailies/eliminations and the final. Pushing it for 6 months is so silly/dumb.

The casts always complain about the mansions they stay at anyways so just downsize and put them ladies in a warehouse with bunks then we'll see some true drama!

Last time they did that we got a season where the cast was miserable and started the slow deterioration of the show.

USA scared everyone off doing that fecal too.

Ben waking up in the middle of the night, yelling "The British Are Coming!" didn't help either.
