I miss Yes and I think this website should should be embarrassed for siding with that freak Wes. Yes was one of the best old school returnees we've ever gotten and he would've been an amazing addition to 40. Id love to see him end Jordan and Bananas
A season with multiple winners & genderless eliminations would be a good format. It could work with the type of eliminations they do nowadays, but I'd prefer more survival redemption island duels instead.

Was a big Yes fan in the 90s/00s. After his return he seemed very fake. As on OG fan....i hate that I am team Wes lol
Wes was one of my all time faves until he started coming back around WOTW 1. It's like he became a character of himself when before I felt he was more genuine in his ******* ways.

My unpopular opinion is that Invasion's format was almost perfect and the Champs coming in was unnecessary. Im actually happy that the eliminations wasnt Champs vs NonChamps, and if anything I felt like it shouldve been 4 winners (One for each category). Everyone knows the final bloodbath was unfair asf to Amanda and Shane and they shouldve been finalist. Also any season where you can go into elimination despite winning the daily is dumbasf.
The way Wes acted with Da'vonne and tried to act with Desi says a lot about him.
Him and Nehemiah being besties doesn't negate it.
He was also trying to tell Swaggy and Bayleigh to not be harsh on Dee when they exposed her after her dumb BLM post. People have selective memory on here smh
Wes isn't that good. He's his own biggest hype man and if you hear him say he's the greatest enough times you start to buy into it. But what I will give Wes is he doesn't give up in a final even if he's dying, which he almost did on Rivals 2 and WoTW.

don't remember rivals 2...but rivals 1 he was carried by Kenny

If it was not for Wes...they would not have made the final. Kenny absolutely carried Wes in the final.....but Kenny did terrible in dailies and elims
I have heard fans mention wes in talks of mount rushmore, but I want to say that was like ten years ago ****.
sidenote I just saw wes will be on a celeb cooking show and I am soooooooo annoyed that the most annoying men in this franchise get so many opportunities (bananas, wes, josh). Imagine what it wouldve been like if reality shows provided the same opportunities back in the OG days. More Tina, more Coral, more Veronica. Such dynamic personalities confined to MTV (although that was THE network of the time)

Wes acts that way with a ton of people--not just black people. You all (meaning the whole board not black people) try to hard to make race an issue.
I know he does, but the way he sat up and continued to lie about Da'vonne getting people to beat his *** when the cast outright said that wasn't true was ******* weird.
ratings are down because cable is on the decline and there aren't enough ways to easily watch the show online. i don't think having certain cast members, or a certain theme/aesthetic makes much of a difference. ratings are dependent on so many factors. if you look at all of the highest rated episodes in recent years, there isn't really a common denominator.
you can have the perfect cast, perfect theme, perfect everything and it doesn't mean ratings will so up significantly.
the challenge has medium sized loyal, dedicated fan base, many of which have been sticking around for many years. it's slowly dropping, but that core audience is still somewhat stable. however, they aren't really attracting many new viewers, audiences, and nothing the challenge has done in years has actually gone viral. they need to market the show better to attract people and make it more available to watch.
honestly, if i had to guess, the creative teams, marketing teams, and editing teams are probably older and are out of touch with that younger people want.
the show itself is edited weird now, it's just a bunch of unfunny and corny jokes and segments. it's like they're trying to edit it to make it look like if you mixed together corny *** big brother, a family sitcom, and espn into one, and it's just not what reality tv fans want.
the promotional posters and cast pictures are overly edited with weird filters and outifts that aren't eye catching. you remember in school when the teacher took a colored photo from the internet, printed it out on the test, then handed the test out to the kids and no one could even tell what it becaused it lost color and is distorted? thats what these cast members look like, especailly the bfanc pics. the trailers are boring and don't hint at any actual storylines.
they don't know whether or not they want to cater this show to sports fans, reality tv fans, OG real world fans, gen z, so they just kind of make this really safe overly edited version of what i feel like their potential is.
im gen z and not that many gen z'ers i know would watch these trailers or look at this promo and actually be excited to watch. that's just my perspective though. and again, even if all of this was fixed, i'm not even sure if it would actually increase the ratings to what they used to be. authentic reality tv is a dying breed anyways. certain shows like survivor/bb/love island are exceptions, and popular shows like drag race have strongholds in certain american subcultures. the challenge doesn't have any of that and with the absence of the real world and with mtv fading out of the mainstream, it doesn't have a home.
Yes was so insincere people liked Wes

I will never be team Wes. Team Yes baby <3
Very cringe and weird for people to be Team Wes, isn't he anti-black.

I agree I loved the earn your spot on invasion. It's way better than skulls
Where do you pull these theories. Wes and Nehemiah are best friends. Tou do too much here
Because of the nonsense with Day
Wes has never been racist--he's a lot of things but not racist.
Yes is fake as hell--everything about him is fake but it won him a season so good for him
The way Wes acted with Da'vonne and tried to act with Desi says a lot about him.

Can't stand Wes....I did kinda like him on the ruins though.
Kinda funny how wes been around for 20 years and did all these seasons and I haven't seen anyone ever include him in the challenge mount rushmore
he really isn't as good as he thinks he is. He won three times out of close to 20 tries
And when he flops he flops HARD.
bruh i never even though about this. it's true no one ever even mentions him LOL
i've seen people bring up kenny as a potential face of the challenge mount rushmore more than wes lol dead
He was also trying to tell Swaggy and Bayleigh to not be harsh on Dee when they exposed her after her dumb BLM post. People have selective memory on here smh

If I'm being fair, Kenny carried Wes for about 5 minutes; that's a bit exaggerated.
I know he does, but the way he sat up and continued to lie about Da'vonne getting people to beat his *** when the cast outright said that wasn't true was ******* weird.
Yeah that whole Wes/Day thing made me sour on him especially because he was struggling to even apologize. Glad they all called him out at the reunion
