I think it's funny when I see people asking for this back. But the more I think about it the more I think real world wouldn't work now days. What made real world great was having people from different backgrounds, point of views, different political parties, etc. Making those people learn from each other, grow together or even disagree about it was the great part of it. Now days if they were to cast like they did back then it will get them backlash and different cast members cancelled every week. While I agree some horrible people shouldn't be given a platform & they need to set their limits on who to cast. I also think that not everyone is horrible for having different views than me.
perfectly stated - <3
So many people nowadays have the 'agree with me or else' attitude. It's very closed minded
I think a good diverse cast would be something like:
1. A first generation college student type of character
2. A transgendered person just starting to live their truth
3. A gay/lesbian/pan person who may have recently come out
4. A gay/lesbian/pan person who's been out for awhile
5. Someone who grew up in a cult/super religious household trying to break away from their upbringing
6. A POC active in their community
7. A POC who may not have grown up around other POC and may have not had a chance to fully understand their roots bc of whitewashing
8. traditional frat/sorority stereotype, who while may not be a trumpie, may still carry some biases
I wonder if people would watch that. I feel like could work if people were 18-22 not 24+
i agree 24 needs to be cutoff age, MAYBE 25 at the most and no instagram/tiktok influencers either
Eh....I think that would be good promotion...grab instagram/twitter/tiktok users with a following and move them in the house...Real World: Gone Viral has a ring to it....I see this concept gaining more interest than anything else they could do aside from (or even including) Real World :All Stars
ok honestly ive never seen RW, what seasons should i watch?? i like dramatic, messy tv
The original Real World: Las Vegas season. Dramatic, entertaining and messy from beginning to end.
Also, random but The Real World: St. Thomas had one of the messiest reunions I've ever seen lol it's funny to me because that season as a whole was so boring but it was one of my favorite reunions to watch mostly because LaToya and Marie were going at it with the whole cast. They were such an iconic duo, wish we could've seen more of them interacting on the challenges.
I wish they'd bring the RW back but i honestly dont think it would work in todays climate, i think Road Rules (hopefully the revival plans for that are still happening) would work out better

The Facebook Watch scene was a pure mess and had a terrible cast

agreed 1000% along with how it was edited too it really was one giant mess
watch the original - it gives you a taste of what this show was supposed to be - it gets messy from there. The original San Diego is prob one of my favs.
Not a favorite, but Hollywood is a good season for drama and messiness if that's what you want. lol. It's almost treated like a forgotten stepchild, but those of us who watched it live remember how much fuss Greg in particular caused. lol.

Yeah, original San Diego is my #1 (and then I go back to older seasons). It had a good mix of everything. Except I think the drama and foolishness that did occur was more funny than nasty (except someone used the n-word) because the people were so fun together.
Austin was super popular. I saw it as a less likable version of San Diego.
Key West is my favorite. I feel like every episode always had something happen. Also Paula and Svetlana's friendship>>> Even the most boring cast member on the show (Jose) brought something to the table in my opinion.

If this next season isn't Real World: Houston, then they can keep it.

Episode 4 & up of Portland.

The first and second Las Vegas, the second New Orleans, Philly, Denver, Hollywood and Key West are all good in their own ways IMO
The Facebook Watch scene was a pure mess and had a terrible cast
oh period I might perch Nany's ssn then

I watched it online like 4 years ago and every episode had something happening
San Diego?
I was talking about Hollywood lol
But I saw watched the first San Diego, Denver and Austin for the first time when I did the Hollywood marathon they were good too.
Ah, it must be weird watching Hollywood knowing Joey passed. I can't believe it's almost been 10 years!
I didn't like Austin I think I tuned out halfway through and only came back for the finale
It was weird and sad especially the first few episodes when he was having his issues
The ones that I enjoyed the most are New Orleans, Back to New York and Miami.
unpopular opinion but i liked DC but def dont watch it as one of your firsts lol
I liked DC too, didn't watch Cancun or NOLA 2.
Key West is my favorite. I feel like every episode always had something happen. Also Paula and Svetlana's friendship>>> Even the most boring cast member on the show (Jose) brought something to the table in my opinion.
