i brought this up to Graphik last night but Davie and Carl on the latest season of Survivor are both black castaways on the David tribe. The only two I believe, but they immediately started clicking and Carl who’s the older man informed Davie that they can’t be seen being that cool with eachother because every one else would target them for it.
interested to see them work I enjoyed both of them in the premier
Hopefully Queen Janelle from Bad Girls Club will grace our screens on The Challenge soon since she’ll be on this upcoming season of Ex on the Beach. I would be LIVING
So much I want to add to this new legendary thread but I'm too busy right now ****
Just based on her physicality & smarts, I think Michaela will be a serious contender for a W whenever she gets on.
Wendell is already a Champ but I can see him getting a Challenge W under his belt as well. Seems very well-rounded but he did say he had a fear of heights.
xHollyangel wrote:We need more dominant African people on the show. It's been a long time since we had someone like that. All the male AA become someone's lackey and never learn to think and lead bythemselves. Same with the ladies but I think Kam (despite her annoying Queen thing sometimes) is representing that good.
Darrell and Nehemiah are the only two black male champs to compete in the last decade which is WILD. Nelson and Kam definitely have the potential to be a part of the champs club and I'm glad they have been dominating on the elimination side
Nehemiah? ****, that's a throwback. I forgot about his *** lmaoooo
I'm just going to say this, I 100% understand where Day was coming from. I feel like that speech was something that has been building up since her Big Brother days, where it seems like minorities are constantly sent in. As for The Challenge, I feel like she was just over it. Not saying race came into play here, just the constant saying "Day/Jozea" every chance they got by the rest of the cast.
It was way more than just voting them into elimination, the very first challenge they got sent to redemption by Zach/Amanda. Every time Zach/Amanda got the power vote they said their name. In the challenges, whenever there was a disadvantage to be given, they were ganged up on. Shane threw a challenge to spite them. Jozea had to eat 13(?) plates because of two teams. The list goes on. So I definitely understand her frustration.
I could understand if they felt like they were a threat, but why the **** aren't all of yall keeping this same energy for the "top teams" in the game? Yall really wasting all this time, effort and energy just to get rid of Day/Jozea?

exactly why Michaela won’t be cast, can’t have Cara have actual competition

I think she will eventually....I hope lol
Now Cydney is the one who they don't want tossing Cara to the moon.
there is no reason as to why CeeJai & Dean haven't been casted on the Challenge. none whatsoever.
Oh we know CeeJai was too real for TV.
Also definitely wasn't a reason that Jason never got a shot; especially since HE was the first one with the "father" storyline everybody & their brother is using on the show nowadays.
Fun fact, final reckoning has had at least one black person compete in every elimination. The only other time this happened was free agents where it happened for every elimination but the very last one.
CeeJai definitely should’ve been cast by now. Also, I’d literally pay out of pocket for a Nia return. Especially since people can headbutt and shit now. I really hope Darrell pulls out another W. If not him, I’d love to see Nelson win as well.
Anywho, I know my SN is the Korean, but I’m actually a mixed blasian so what up fam! Haha
Let's have this ted talk, I only watch mtv for the challenge. Maybe they cast very few AA on the show because maybe they think that AA aren't watching the challenge. I mean how many POC watch MTV as a whole. MTV never really accepted black people. I mean they didn't play Michael Jackson & Whitney Houston videos at first.....
where's all the Hispanic, Asian, bi racial, pacific islander cast members on The Challenge? Are You The One cast diverse young adults, where's that energy on The Challenge?

Why do that when you have Bananas and Cara Maria every season?
as a long time fan of the show that has been watching since Battle of The seasons, when it was Real World vs Road Rules. i'll say that this show has an issue with diversity, it's like they don't want their POC cast members to outshine (on and off the field) their Production favorites.
True tea is Nia dragged Nany who was production’s new IT girl, Sarah who was production's go-to female Vet, and Jordan who production was prepping to be one of their golden boys all in one season. They was never planning to use her after that.

I mean... i don't disagree with the bolded whatsoever. However, with the format being what it was and Amanda having friends on every team and Zach having friends on every team, Day & Jozea were really just the scapegoat more than anything. Rookies have always been targets. I'm sure it's frustrating, but I'm not sure it was out of malice but moreso out of convenience.

Aren't Kailah, Nany, Amanda, Jozea, Sylvia, and Veronica (not sure about her), all Hispanic and/or biracial?... just some off the top of my head.
As I used to say in the Real World casting threads there were so many good potential African Americans with compelling stories but they chose to overlook them to center the season around the gym rat hooking up with the model. I also seen some Asian men who I thought would be good for the show.
Anyways.

When you cast four AA people a season and one of them is Derrick's flop ***, those statistics aren't really surprising.

We all know CT didn't really win Invasion...
People who I'd like to see called instead of trash like Leroy and Derrick being recycled...
Real World:
• Greg Halstead
• William Gilbert
• Eric Patrick
• Arielle Scott
• CeeJai Jenkins
• Dean Bart-Plange
• Tyara Hooks
AYTO:
• Prosper Muna
• Kaylen Zahara
• Clinton Moxam
• Malcolm Drummer
Bad Girls Club:
• Natalie Nunn
• Jenn Hardwick
• Jelaminah "Jela" Lanier
• Seven Craft
Big Brother:
• Ika Wong
• Bayleigh Dayton
• Chris "Swaggy" Williams
That list >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Just missing the Survivor greats.
I would like to see Bria, Kenya, Tevin & Kwasi from the current AYTO season as well.

Whoever came up with this idea thank you because this was long overdue
The only way to not be disappointed in MTV and BMP
Is to expect disappointment
To add to Gucci’s point people also forget that Day is mother which is funny since Brad gets to use being a father as a scapegoat half the time.
the last African American winners we've had was Nehemiah, which was Gauntlet 3 in 2008....10 years ago & Janelle in inferno 3 which was 11 years ago.

Bloodlines had the inverse happen, Aneesa was the only black person to go into elimination and that was at the very end

i'd like to see Nelson win, yeah is he corny and annoying yes, but I wouldn't mind. Kam deserves a win,

This is a thread I can get into.
