Jk jk, it depends on the competition. I think a lot of shows took that week off because of the MLB final so that's probably why it was ranked higher
Lol this show by itself is not getting cancelled. MTV as a whole is in danger if anything; this show, The Challenge, Teen Mom, True Life and 1 or 2 other shows is all the channel has left. On top of that, they are the sole reason this season isn't doing as well as it should; this was the prime season to start cross promotion on VH1 and BET and they did NOTHING. The blame falls solely on them & they can't pin it on RW itself.
So it performed worse than last week? So it really dipped. I want to say it has one foot in the grave, but that's MTV's baby. I don't think they will have a netwrok without The Real World.

It performed better than last week, but because there was more competition last week it's ranked lower compared to other shows airing that same night.

The viewers number went up, this week it had more competition than last week thats why its rank lower

MTV is a non-factor compared to all the other networks. What benefit would getting rid of their longest-running show do for them, only to replace it with some BS that nobody will watch? Like you said, they will get shitty ratings regardless; RW & The Challenges still have their niche supporters & getting rid of either one of them will make MTV's viewership even worse.
They tried to retool Real World like Road Rules, with Explosion, and it didn't work. There's nothing better than the simplicity of 7 strangers with a job and without a twist, staying together for 5 months, IMO. They tried to rake in more viewers but it's not working. I'm not saying the old format was working either, but they should have let the show die on a good note. Damn I miss the old theme and them showing each cast member.

They should be having commercials for it every commercial break like they did for that ******** mary jane show. they need to switch up their programming do they have a "mandatory" 5-6 hours of ridiculousness every day?

Yeah, it's like they're trying to kill the show. Barely any promotion, zero repeats, but no lets watch Ridiculousness 24/7 instead.

I just haven't had an interest in this season. I watched the first 3 episodes & liked them. However, it was nothing to draw me back in.

whats FUNNY is that they have 14! people this season and the ratings are even lower than last season.
and the twist this season is better than last seasons.
I just feel like its not the show per say, its the entire channel. No show on Mtv is really doing good nowadays
