The only repetive thing about the past few seasons (besides this season so far) is bananas making the final. Excluding exes 1 and rivals 2 I think the JEK era was waaaaaay more repetive and them controlling the game season after season got old really fast.

Their era was the worst, Inferno 3-Fresh Meat 2 were all horrible. I'm so glad things started turning around during Cutthroat.

I agree so much. That's why I really don't like that era of challenges, they were just bad in so many ways. Good to know I'm not the only one to dislike that period.
But me personally I would put it as Fresh Meat 1-Exes 1 because the Fresh Meat came on and they really made that era as bad as it was. Along with Backpack/Paula/Wes.

Eh, Duel 1, Cutthroat, and Rivals are all good seasons and are fairly popular so that's probably why nevidcm included I3-FM2. I think you know by now more than a few people dislike that period and aside from Ruins, I didn't care for any of those seasons, though blaming it on FM is pretty shortsighted.

Well yeah Duel 1 and Cutthroat were both good and Fresh Meat 1 was decent(despite it introducing shitty personalities). But I don't think blaming The Fresh Meat is shortsighted at all. They were a big reason why challenges like The Guantlet 3/The Island/The Ruins/Fresh Meat 2/The Duel 2 sucked. Everything they brought to those shows were just painful as all **** to watch. If they weren't the sole reason for the bad quality of the seasons they were a big *** part of it at least.
And Rivals 1 wasn't good IMO. All it was was just JEK vs CT.
And I've never really seen people say that they dislike that period of challenges considering people speak on those challenges alot on here.

Well yeah because there are a lot of people who had shitty runs/weren't good TV like Paula, Bananas, Jenn (FM2-forward) and RWers who did shows and brought nothig like Nick Brown, Colie (I legit forgot she did two seasons), Robin (in her later seasons), **** even your favorite Brad didn't bring much during these challenges and actually got progressively worse that and along with terrible loopsided teams/JEK never having opposition and when they do, they're squandered is what made those seasons so tough to watch imo.
Yeah, we've been through that and I gave more than a few things that happened that season not including JEK... I've actually heard that quite a bit on here and even in different forums. I don't even remember any good comments about G3, Island, Duel 2, FM2.

Well in Nick's defense he did give us the Movement. Hehe.
But you did touch on something that I don't think is really adressed...JEK never really had any opposisiton. In the seasons those three were on together they basically ruled the roost because everyone followed them and noone really challenged them. And when they do have some opposition they're alone with noone on their side and they eventually bite the dust. That's why I don't really get why people think they're so good as far as politics..It's easy to be good with no opposition and you're friends with everyone in the house.
And when you think about it there were alot of people in that era that were forgettable and even the people that started in the Real World/Road Rules era turned to **** like you stated. It really was just a bad era overall.

Yeah, like the Island was only: Ev/KA and Jenn/Ryan to an extent, but not enough to really make a stand. On Ruins, only Evelyn/Wes, which is too bad because there were obvious outsiders there in Syrus, Katie, Veronica, and Tonya.

Yep and there was Rivals with CT/Adam..but They got real Cozy with Adam so Ct was basically alone.
I think this is pretty unpopular here because most people have taken a side but I really want Johnny & Averey to at least be able to work things out and not hate each other - it sucks watching two people that I like not be on speaking terms.

I agree. It made me happy to see Johnny commend Averey on doing well, then my heart sank when he said in the confessional that he didn't care to be friends at all.

I have taken Johnny's side in the situation but I do wish they were at least friends. I loved when they beat Adam/Brittany and they jumped up and hugged each other and then Johnny goes "Good shit Av" and gave her a high five. I understand why there is anomosity and built up hate for one another but it sucks seeing it. I never expected them to turn out like this.
Granted majority of the challenges were great. The eliminations were so so. The only one I really liked was Back Up Off Me depending on the match-up. The cast was good, kinda random but at that time was kinda a different era and the cast selections weren't really bad so it wasn't really a shock whereas if we saw that cast next season it would be like OMG.
I hated the format. Very predictable. It ran its course.
Would I want to see a Cutthroat again? No. But I wouldn't mind a 3 team challenge with some type of theme just for the challenges that it'll produce.

1. Yes, the missions were great
2. No--other than Swat the eliminations were very good. Best since The Ruins. Handcuffs is great, Pole Me Over is okay, Back Up Off Me was very good and Die Hard was a very good change of pace.
3. The cast is the key--it was the last cast that incorporated the entire series...then we got the same dozen people every season
4. The format was great--the selection of the teams was the problem.
5. Cutthroat would be great again--just have pre-determined teams based on eras, levels of success, etc.
Why? Other than maybe too many FM2 people there's no reason to hate it unless it is about you wanting certain people to be there that weren't. Like if I was ****** that Landon or Susie wasn't there. There was a mix--who doesn't want a mix. Especially a fan old enough to remember the start of JEK

It has nothing to do with me wanting certain people to be there that weren't..... I just didn't like the cast. There were too many FM2 people there, there was a lot of boring/wallpaper people there (JD/Melinda/Dan/Derek/Brandon/Luke/Chet) I thought it was lacking drama/humor. It was a boring season to me.
Unpopular here, battle of the seasons two sucked. The cast especially girls was super weak. Every team that had a horrible competitor which made the competition bad. the missions and
eliminations aside from balls out were good but that's about it. The drama was just cringe worthy especially with Marie. Marie is one of the most obnoxious trashiest girls on the challenge IMO. I don't get why people like her when she treated Robb like shit and admitted to flirt with someone because they owned a Rolex store.
I'm glad we haven't seen her again. My only regret is we didn't get to see her get her crushed in something physical.
New Orleans and San Diego were unbearable.
Idc about the whole " breath of fresh air" everyone worships if the cast sucks.

Melinda's never been boring. Brandon even had a storyline. Chet did as well. It definitely wasn't lacking drama. Camila vs. team red, Camila vs. Theresa, Ty looking like a chump, Abram vs. Sarah/Laurel, the Paula/Tori bullshit, Bananas correctly referring to Tori as a *****. The drama was actually real (other than Theresa vs. Camila) unlike most seasons after it.
I get the "too many FM2" comment but the rest doesn't make sense. That cast is the way all seasons should be created. A little heavy on FM2 but other than that it was a perfect mix...I'd like to have seen some other old school people but it was "A" for effort.

Yup. Only memorable part for me was Eric vs. Laurel, at least 6 out of the 9 missions, CT vs. Bananas, and Ayiiia sitting out because she had asthma<--- thst one was great ****

I LOVED Seasons!
The drama gave me life. The missions and eliminations could have been better. Looking back I don't mind the cast because it opened doors for many new people to be on The Challenge which is good to see.

Really?
She did nothing on FM.
She did nothing on G3 but hit her head and even then no one cared. I can't even begin to tell you if she got sent home or eliminated on that season.
She did nothing on Cutthroat.
She did nothing on Seasons.
Was she on anything else?
Yes, she is pretty to look at and I take it you are a fan but Melinda is boring and not that great of a competitor either.
IDK if this is unpopular... But I'm tired of seeing Johnny Bananas, like go home with the half a million you've already won.
It isn't, but to some it is.
100% truth. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
So a few days ago I made a comment about Brittany possibly being an Aneesa type competitor (subpar in challenges but fierce in eliminations)..
I would like to apologize for this comment and commend everyone who disagreed with me. I was very wrong. Very, very wrong.
Sorry everyone!
LOL we forgive you Buddy
Lol! I thought she would be decent but wow she sucks.
It's alright , I don't think anyone expected her to be that horrible.
As bad of a season Ruins may have been, the S*** They Should Have Shown was awesome. another unpopular opinion: Karamo was a decent competitor.
