I'm watching Girl Meets World right now, and ****, it's soooooo corny, I can't deal with it. It's a shame because I love Boy Meets World but GMW is just plain bad.
I can't even bring myself to watch it.
Actually if you think about it, Boy Meets World season 1 was extremely corny and cheesy... back then people rolled their eyes at the show... Disney has made some pretty **** shows of recent years... but there have been a few that have caught the 90s vibe (Good Luck Charlie & GMW)... I think we should just all be patient. We're grown-ups, not children anymore... the only reason you like to believe BMW was so amazing and clever is because its our nostalgia kicking in. Just give it time to blossom... i'll be waiting for the day when ABC takes over the rights and they bring it into high-school/college.. then we can get more adult storylines. I do think Riley and Maya can become great characters... especially Maya.. she's nailing that Shawn Hunter vibe.
when the snow starts falling, I return to Downton Abbey... not sure why, but it has just become a thing for me every year.. Now i can finally catch up to season 5!! (online partway through 3)... this show is addictive!! i'm such an old person haha

I think it's about a ***** named Abbey. Who lives downtown. But she weighs like 2000lbs (~907kg for the ratchets...) so they changed the name to DownTON Abbey.
Cortes will tell the sweeping story of Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés, who brought down the Aztec empire; Malinche, the Mayan girl who helped him do it; and Montezuma, the Aztec leader he befriended and finally put in chains

This sounds real good, I love history dramas.
BTW, have you heard about the new show on Netflix called Marco Polo? It premieres next month and the trailer looks really good.

With Scorsese at the helm, it's going to be good!
I have not, but I'll check it out when I get home!
Set in 1813, Taboo is based on an original story by Hardy and his father, Chips Hardy. In Taboo, Hardy plays the lead role of “James Keziah Delaney,” a rogue adventurer who returns from Africa with 14 ill-gotten diamonds to seek vengeance after the death of his father. Refusing to sell the family business to the East India Company, he sets out to build his own trade and shipping empire and finds himself playing a very dangerous game.
There's been a lot of buzz about this one, sounds interesting enough.
The ******* Executioner is a period drama that tells the story of a warrior knight in King Edward II's charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when that violence finds him again he is forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all.
YES.... last sundays ep was wayy too long though... they did not need 2hrs for that shit. Right now Regina is our only savior of the show... they need to quit this frozen frenzy... its soooooo lame

Wait until David Fincher & Gillian Flynn get their hands on this series, the UK will be like "Whoa."
I also can't wait for Westworld to slaughter at the Emmys.
Gillian Flynn? oh no... the girl can tell a great story, but oh my god her writing is horrendous... at least in novel form. The Gone Girl movie was much better than the book, so maybe Flynn should just stick with screenwriting.

I haven't even started the book yet, but I'll take your word for it. She seems to be good at visualizing the story, but translating it to words isn't her forte. Luckily, Fincher knows what he's doing. And he does it well. Very well.
Side note: I took my sweet *** time, but I finally finished up Fargo. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for the recommendation!

OMG finally haha wasnt it amazingg... it rightfully deserved that best mini-series title... heck I even think it'd beat True Detective personally maybe TD will opt to go for the mini-series categories next year and then we'll see a real show down. haha

But then again season 1 of BMW was on ABC....not Disney. Disney ruined a lot of good shows and variety series too.

Art & John Linson Acquire Vietnam War Book ‘The Long Gray Line’ For HBO Series
That's awesome! I love war movies & tv shows. Any word on when they are going to start working on that?
I imagine nothing substantial will start until late next year or early 2016. HBO has shit ton of projects in the works.
I can wait as long as they deliver on True Detective season 2 in the near future.
