Well how could I not forget the three Idiots that made this show jump the shark? And when you think about it. Mark, Landon and Darrell haven't done anything either IMO.
According to you.. no one has done anything. Why do you even watch the show if all these people suck so much and haven't done anything?
CT Bananas and Landon have benn amazing competition whise.
According to you.. no one has done anything. Why do you even watch the show if all these people suck so much and haven't done anything?
Plenty of people have done alot on these shows. For me personally I don't put a whole lot of stock in Competition and that's all those three really have(Mark and Landon moreso. Darrell has been funny at times but not often considering he's invisible alot of the time) Oh and the reason I still watch is because of the new Generation of Challengers. I look forward to seeing them..
This is a competition yet you don't put stock in competition...ummm, yeah
Wrong. This is a reality show first and foremost.
Wrong. This is a reality show first and foremost.
Then watch the Real World--this a competition not let's create fake drama. Per usual you ignore facts while trying to claim something is a fact that isn't. This is like saying Big Brother and Dance Moms/The Bachelor are the same--they aren't. Not even close
Directly from MTV "Twenty-eight money-hungry competitors arrive in Punta del Este, Uruguay, expecting to be teamed up with an ex, an enemy, or even a weak rookie. Little do they know, this is an individual game, and they’ll be answering to no one but themselves in the most unpredictable Challenge ever. The 25th season, Free Agents, forces players to compete on their own in a battle of perseverance and luck. The players will have no idea if they’ll be competing in teams, pairs or as individuals until moments before each challenge begins. Winners are not only safe from elimination, but also have the power to choose one guy and one girl to send in. The losers from that day’s challenge must take part in the game’s biggest elimination twist yet, “The Draw”, where one guy and one girl are selected by pure chance to face the two nominated players in the elimination round. With competitors’ fates being determined by a flip of a card, no amount of strategy can protect them." So, yes, DA the show is about competition. If you only care about the drama then stick to the Real World and stop complaining about everything Challenge related.

This is like saying Big Brother and Dance Moms/The Bachelor are the same--they aren't. Not even close
YOU'RE the one that's ignoring facts. You seem to think this show is some pure competition. Guess what? It's not and never will be. There has ALWAYS been drama on this show and will always be Drama on this show real or Fake. Drama and conflcit is what sells reality shows. Not Johnny winning 4 challenges, Not If you want Pure competition take you *** to ESPN, Fox sports or any network that provides Pure legit competition because you won't find it here. Oh and Dance Moms and Big Brother and the Bachelor ARE ALL REALITY SHOWS! Different kinds yes but they are all reality shows. So in a sense they are the same.
So, yes, DA the show is about competition. If you only care about the drama then stick to the Real World and stop complaining about everything Challenge related.
That's not what this show is Soley about. The sooner you realize that the better. If this show was really about competition then they wouldn't be casting weak people like Jasmine and Preston.
Look the show is about 60% drama and 40% competition. What production ultimately cares about is the interactions between cast members and how much they fight, hook up, etc. That is why certain people only get booked for the show to cause drama, whether they are good athletes or not. Now production cares just enough about the competition aspect to provide pretty good missions, eliminations, and athletes with varying athletic ability to provide entertainment on the competitive end. Now it takes both ends of the spectrum to provide a good show, however, without the fighting, hooking up, etc. The isn't as entertaining for the usual viewer of mtv.

You and DA are exactly the same which is why you two have been fighting for two days now. Agree to disagree with each other and get over it already!
That's not what this show is Soley about. The sooner you realize that the better. If this show was really about competition then they wouldn't be casting weak people like Jasmine and Preston.
No one is saying that The Challenge is SOLELY about competition. Competition is a large part of The Challenge, but it's not the only thing. Just like the Real World, cast members live together and drama unfolds. If there wasn't competition, it'd just be called Real World All Stars Paraguay.

If this show was really about competition then they wouldn't be casting weak people like Jasmine and Preston.
I completely agree that it isn't solely about competition. But you have to admit that it is certainly geared towards competition with drama mixed in. The whole discussion is based upon the fact that you don't think people contribute anything to the show if they aren't creating drama. Once you realize that the show is a mix of both, you'll admit that people like Mark and Darrell do actually contribute something to the show.
The Challenge is a show about competition with some drama mixed in. Those saying the show is primarily about the drama are the same fools concocting conspiracy theories about how everything on the show is rigged because someone they don't like is winning.
If you don't MIND me SAYING, you tend to be VERY ABRASIVE. I am NEW to this site and all your POSTS are like a HEINOUS MULE KICK to the SACRED reproductive region. Camilla is the BEST FEMALE challenge PLAYER ever, ever, EVER! I think MOST people LOVE her, including ME. She BELONGS on THE CHALLENGE!
Are you hoping that your point will come across better when you put random words in caps? Thats why she has lost to Cara Maria, Laurel twice, and Cara Maria? I would not even put Camila in the top 5. She would get absolutely smoked in an elimination round (regardless of the type) by Emily, Laurel, Rachel, and Evelyn.

Name the cast members that you find "memorable" and what did they do that made you think that way? I think I can speak for everyone on here when I say we have never heard a legit answer to this question.
Listen people the show is mainly about the challenge and elimination or else it would be called the drama free agents. The person that causes the most drama doesn't win the season and gets the final check its the winner of the challenge. The drama that occurs in the challenge is to get ratings and that is a addition. CT keeps getting called back because he is involved in drama, could get girls, and is a gteat competitor.
This REALITY SHOW airs on MTV not ESPN...without drama it wouldn't survived since that bring rating that's why Gimmick corny format are the only that have work for the ratings on the last 7 seasons.
Why is everyone trying to downplay the drama? It's not and "added on" thing. it is an entegral and legitamate part of this show. Always have been always will be. Like Pinkrose said without the Drama this show would not have survivied.

I wish they showed more of what goes on in the house, I couldn't watch this show if it wasn't for my DVR. Too many commercials

The themes picked here recently are created as a means to create drama as that is what many people watch the show for. Its reality tv on a trash network you do the math lol However, the show has levels of competition. To me they need to start casting challenges similar to the Rivals II cast. It bought ratings, favorites, drama, and a decent amount of competition. One of my favorite challenges.

Too much drama or too much competition will turn people off. I for one, like to see a good competition between competitors but at the same time fall outs, fights, drama's- and not ones that are stupid & pass by quickly. You are rightin saying that Rivals II, Even Exes had a pretty good balance; and it looks like this season isn't getting the right mixture

When did Camila ever lose to Cara Maria in an elimination besides with Laurel on Rivals which was a close match the whole time. She also almost beat Laurel on Cutthroat. Camila is definitely one of the top five girls who have competed in recent shows & to say she would get smoked in an elimination without knowing what type of an elimination it might be is just dumb.
Well thats this season which is 1 of the 1000 reason why this season is failing.
Reason #2: UNGODLINESS. Maybe if the show was MORE WHOLESOME, more PEOPLE would WATCH? People I know DON'T watch because it is such HORRID DEBAUCHERY. I watch MORE or LESS to see a DIFFERENT lifestyle, but don't CONDONE anything I see on this TRAGEDY of a SHOW.

Emphasizing every other word results in nothing being emphasized.
Unrelated to this discussion, but I'm soooo excited for tonight's episode. I've been home sick for a couple of days so this episode has been highly anticipated for me!
